I had similar issues(not with females but with dudes). If you want to change, ask God to renew your mind and give you a heart that wants to change. Sure, still be attracted to the girl, but let it not be an attraction that is worldly (like a big booty, or legs, or breasts, etc.) and stems from a lack of self-control and discipline and not having our minds renewed by God. Remember though, while of course, physical may attract at first, and God made women with very physically attractive features, it will all pass with every day... Prov. 31:30 "charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised".

i don't think the idea is that you marry someone who you are completely unattracted to. the point is that you can not put looks on a pedestal, it shouldn't be the determining factor in how you choose your mate. i would LOVE to marry a man who was 6'5, muscular, perfect straight white teeth, perfectly aligned eyes, sensitive to my needs yet still a man, well-groomed, no kids, good job, benefits, the list goes on...but above all of that i should desire a man who loves Jesus.

And that's what we need to ask everyone to consider when they meet a woman. Asking people not to look is just not going to work. Furthermore, isn't physical beauty in the eye of the beholder? I was under the impression that different men have different 'things' they like- you may be hot and bothered by a big rump, Joe next to you might be melting because of her full lips. The physical attraction is necessary and healthy. The problem lies when we make it the ONLY aspect of a relationship.

I understand why you see the need to spread this message but I think your approach is off the mark. Asking a person not to 'look behind' when they meet a woman is like asking a car enthusiast not to notice the latest version of their favourite sports car when it zooms down the street. It is an unrealistic and frankly, silly request. Even in your examples of being in church and seeing women with big bottoms, you are making it seem like your eyes aren't supposed to see what they see.

This is real. Just speaking form the other side. As a woman after Christ's own heart, I need to be consciouses of what I wear yes, very true. It does say dress modestly and in such a way as to not cause others in the faith to stumble. But there is a point at which if the other person is not doing everything possible to not sin, i.e. renewing their mind, it is not on me. Their hearts are far from God in the first place. Just a thought, but its a real one.
