  • I think Colin Firth is an excellent actor, but his "american accent" is terrible.

  • I don't know if this is Colin "standard" American accent or if it's just the character, but I do not like it so much. I don't mind it, but nasally voices bother me anyway.

  • Colin Firth sounded pretty darn good with the American accent. And he looked so sexy, how nice it must have been to cuddle up with that warm body of his. Ahhhhh

  • Its like a whole other world listening to Colin Firth speaking in an American accent. I like it! :-)

  • hes still hott lol

  • he is as sexy as pierce brosnan

  • he is so sexyyy.

  • I like Colin Firth but he was totally miscast for the movie. His American accent is bad- even if it was authentic though, we're so used to him having a British one that it just sounds weird. And he doesn't look muscular enough.

Sorry :/ Good on him for winning the Bafta this year though!

  • lol they use this movie as a modernization to King Lear by Shakespeare.

  • ahahah...i love colin to bits but this american accent doesn't sound right on him. yup he needs to be British...his English accent sounds much sweeter on him

  • Is he trying to do an American accent?? Stick with your English Colin..that's much more sweeter for you... Thanks for uploading this. Ive never seen C.F do another accent like this.

  • bad accent...love firth though

  • Hah..! Thanks for your comment...*

  • Doesn't Colin turn out to be a shit in this? Anyway, he's voice doesn't sound right, he needs to be british!

  • Yes, I totally agree!!! Thanks;)*

  • As much as I love to listen to Firth's voice, in truth, Hugh Laurie's the only well-known contemporary British actor who can do an American accent well. Ralph Fiennes' almost there, but he sounds a little silly too, when he tries it. They just can't seem to get the cadence and the correct dropped letters. I wonder why native Brits hear the "R" sound sound the way they do when they hear American English, and feel they have to make that goofy pirate-y "Arrrr" sound in order to do it correctly, ha.

  • Thanks for your interesting comment, as always;)*

  • @Verified1 : You forget about Christian Bale's American accent.

  • Wotever, American, Brit...it's pleasing to the ear. Luv it!

  • Oh yes my dear! It's absolutely truly! LV*

  • Just look at that SWAGGER... and that VOICE!!!! Ooohhlala!

  • Did you mean "that" American voice my dear...?

  • WOT a gorgeous MAN!!!! Lucky Jessica. Thanks, Sonia, for more shoulder movement. Luv it!!!

  • Oh Nancy indeed... Lucky Jessica (sigh*) LV*

  • Oh, Sonia! Another Mr Dreamy in bed!! He was too gorgeous for this mediocre movie (in my opinion!)!! Thanks, can't get enough of him - and he hasn't shaven his armpits! :)))xxx

  • Oh Annie, I know... Our Mr. Dreamy...(sigh!) LV*

  • cannot believe he's got an american accent!

  • But I love his British accent...*

  • Colin Firth, the American! Cool!

  • Cool, but I think, so his British accent is better probably...

  • WOW PLEASE PUT THE WHOLE MOVIE UP!! =]

  • Levi my dear, I don't think so... as probably, the movies of Universal Studio's are blocked on YT... LV*
