It's much easier to read Romanji than this. I mean, for Romanji it's just "Arigatou Gozaimasu" instead of "A Ree Ga Toe Go Za I Mass" or "Hajimemashite" than "Ha Jee Meh Ma Shee Tay".
@DanielFilipeSCouto I know right? XD They were just showing us how to pronounce the words, but they should of included the romanji below the pronunciation of it. I think it would be a lot easier for some people reading the romanji instead of A Ree Ga bla blah bla...
@SesshyPwnsTheWorld Yeah, exactly. I mean, this guide must be for babies or something.
And if you understood portuguese and checked out the Portuguese Guide, it would piss you off. They mixed Brazilian Portuguese with the original Portuguese and they used Spanish accent on many words and all that. A complete shame o,e
The problem with Japanese isn't piecing the different words together (that's easy a fun, even more when you watch a shit-ton of anime :3) it's remember each fucking letter = - =#
Will u go to Heaven?Quick test.Lied, stole, used God's name in vain?Jesus said if u look w/lust you adulter in ur heart.Looked w/lust?Will u be guilty?God sees u as a lying thief, blaspemer & adulter at heart.Bible says u WILL go to Hell because of ur sins.God's rich in love & mercy.Jesus suffered & died on the cross for sinners & rose from the dead 3 days later. He paid our fine (John 3:16).Please repent(turn from sin)& trust Jesus as Lord(to let Him run ur life)& Savior. Then Read ur Bible, obey it
If you really wanna seriously learn Japanese, then you shouldn't be watching this video. Learn kana first and get used to using it. So this way you won't have to deal with the cheesy alphanumeric stuff that's not even in romanization.
Commonly there are multiple ways to say certain words in Japanese, especially when using them in different contexts. However, you are correct with that and as a bonus what's with this persons awful romaji!
Japanese is already difficult because of its three alphabets, and romaji should help foreigners to learn this beautiful language. but this is not romaji, it's "englished" Japanese, and, in my opinion, it's also the worst way to teach it. one more thing: some numbers have more than one spelling; i. e., "seven" is also "nana", this must be said!
retard chinese girl , how long have she learnt japanese . also agree with leonardoruiz18 . she shouldn't even learn japanese if she learns it wrong way .
Hey I have a question, if someone is japanese can you please answer? If I would write someone japanese "O Hai Yo Go Za I Mas" would they understand it, written like that? Or would I have to write it in "japanese letters"?
@MimZuU Im japanese and I guess that most of japanese can understand what that means but its still kinda weird way to say or write.you better to write "Ohayou gozai masu". This is much familiar to japanese.
...why didn't they just use romanji? Trying to equate it to English sounds doesn't really work...our sounds aren't uniform enough. And why are all the syllables separate? Just separate the words. It would be less confusing.
what I don't get is that one of their letters stands for a whole phrase in english and that for a simple "thanx" they got "a ree ga toe go za i mass" it's a mistery to me
@Rad66666 yes... but the correct writing with latin letters (this is calles romaji - i mean to write japanese words with latin letters) would be "youbi"
the roman characters on this video are odd.. like six was "rokv"? what? but these are all good phrases! I recommend learning them by sound and ignore the transcription. If you guys like JAPANESE culture, I have videos of lunch boxes and currently a festival on my page, come on over!
Her pronunciation is not that good. Her 'r' is like a Spanish flapped 'r' rather than the alveolar lateral flap that is Japanese. She doesn't get the lengths right, either. There is a -reason- Japanese pronunciation is often called 'metronomic' -- the first 'o' in 'mokuyoubi' really is supposed to be half the time of the second.
Although it may be easy to see the syllables, I'm sure it can be confusing when. Someone sees "O ya sue me na sai" and, go somewhere else, and sees "Oyasuminasai."

She is not a native Japanese speaker. One can notice that by how well she speaks English.
"Sumimasen" is more like "excuse me" rather than "please". "Onegaishimasu" would be the appropriate expression.
And the right pronunciation for "kayoubi" would be "ka-YOU-bi" and not "KA-you-bi".
The romanisation is really confusing. I can speak Japanese but I can't read the romanised expressions there.
