@JSLegoMaster The stock sure does look like that of the mini 14, but there are so many different aftermarket stocks for the 10/22 its crazy. Thats why they are such a popular semi auto .22lr.
I stood "off balance" purposefully to demonstrate the recoil of both barrels going off at the same time. It was quick a kick as you can see! :-) And yes, I know that shooting both barrels at the same time isn't all that great for the gun (not to mention my shoulder!). I haven't done it since.

@momommius Canada isn't a third world country, and the only place you would see guns is at a range, a cop, an army base, a kinda scouts army thing im in called air cadets, and my uncles closet.(he teaches gun safety)
It really saddens me that the only place I see guns outside of the range is on the hip of a cop. I'd really like to see Canada adopt the same Concealed Carry laws that most of the States have. In every state where these laws have been introduced, they have enjoyed the benefit of having a lowered crime rate. Criminals do not like armed victims! :-)

You may have slightly misunderstood me - I don't mind that cops have guns, in fact I'm all for cops having guns. Just look to the UK for an example of a country with unarmed officers and you'll see a society in chaos. I just wish that our government allowed its citizens the same protection that is afforded to our law enforcement officers. We deserve to be able to protect ourselves from bad guys just as much as they do; and concealed carry permits is a perfect way to do this.

@gravedigr12 Don't let all the rules stand in your way - that's exactly what they want to happen. It does take a bit of time and effort but it is so worth it in the end. I highly recommend that you get your licence and get involved in the shooting sports. If we all give up now, there won't be any guns left for our kids to enjoy.

@momommius Canada isn't a third world country, and the only place you would see guns is at a range, a cop, an army base, a kinda scouts army thing im in called air cadets, and my uncles closet.(he teaches gun safety)

It really saddens me that the only place I see guns outside of the range is on the hip of a cop. I'd really like to see Canada adopt the same Concealed Carry laws that most of the States have. In every state where these laws have been introduced, they have enjoyed the benefit of having a lowered crime rate. Criminals do not like armed victims! :-)

@mmatt Cops visibly have guns because if you see a cop without a visible gun, you think(well a criminal thinks) oh he cant do anything if i pull out a gun and shoot someone" but if you can see the gun, you don't want to mess with anyone while they're around.

You may have slightly misunderstood me - I don't mind that cops have guns, in fact I'm all for cops having guns. Just look to the UK for an example of a country with unarmed officers and you'll see a society in chaos. I just wish that our government allowed its citizens the same protection that is afforded to our law enforcement officers. We deserve to be able to protect ourselves from bad guys just as much as they do; and concealed carry permits is a perfect way to do this.

@gravedigr12 Don't let all the rules stand in your way - that's exactly what they want to happen. It does take a bit of time and effort but it is so worth it in the end. I highly recommend that you get your licence and get involved in the shooting sports. If we all give up now, there won't be any guns left for our kids to enjoy.

I am fortunate to live in Ohio where they actualy follow the constitution as it is written. (mostly) I can tell you that 100% of the time, if someone breaks into my house, my M-1911 will be there way before the cops are...

Its terrible that in countries like the UK and others the VICTIM can end up in prison for simply defending their family.
The USA is very rapidly turning the opposite direction. Many states are adopting 'castle doctrine' which says you are presumed innocent if someone breaks in on you in the middle of the night and you shoot and kill them.

@mmatt I would usually tend to agree with you. However, the anti-firearm, anti-American sentiments by Mofolamarmotte are meant to be inflammatory and show ignorance. If you look at his profile, you'll see that he partakes in all sorts of "gun friendly" activities (airsoft, video games) yet decries ownership of firearms and keeps spouting incorrect liberal rubbish about firearms ownership.
