  • I was born in Poland like Chopin did this shame.

  • Chopin? I though he was a dentist!

  • who's playing it?

  • AHH!!! You're playing way to fast! You're playing in a 59 largo meaning you're playing without emoion! it's meant to be played 40 -49 largo. If you have true passion and you're heart suffers, you should be playing at a 35 lento assai to 45 largo. Since you're playing or the player is playing at a 59 Largo to 62 Larghetto, you're/he/she is playing out of boredom or just wanted to learn this song and heard that this song is a largo so he went to maximum largo. GOOD DAY GENTS!

  • @NahaleGuitar No! T_T

If it isn't the way the musician wants to play it, then they can't express themselves.

Of course it was what the composer wanted, but there are so many Chopin players that always play the same songs slow and over.. It's nothing individual anymore...

As long as you give your emotion to it....

    The speed is fine.

  • Romantic music...is very sad...expresses every bad thing that you have inside

  • This is the best fucking song on earth because i said so if you don't belive me ask your girl! "chopin"

  • lovely, its good but not quite the one im searching 4

  • @joshoooaaaahhh i agree it needs to be played slower

  • @MsFabulous06 you're right... but you shouldn't be so agreeable... lol

  • ay Dios!

  • Prelude No. 4 "Suffocation" is one of the most famous pieces Chopin wrote; it was played at his funeral. It consists of a slow melody in the right hand, that masterfully prolongs tonic resolution, and repeated block chords in the left hand, that descend chromatically.

  • Check my Channel for Chopin HipHop Remix =D THX♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • Do you got the pictures from DeviantArt? Because not all of them are free to use ...

  • I love this interpretation =O

I have made my own interpretation of it too, but Im not sure that everybody will like it.

Please listen to it leave some feedback. Thank you :-*

  • Is this an interpretation of the piece? If so, wonderful! However, if you were trying to play it straight as written, the beggining should be slower :) Also, slightly different rhythm in parts... This piece is so beautiful! Planning on auditioning for university with this along with others next year :) Last 3 chords were WONDERFUL btw! Well done!!

  • This is a Magnificent Piece .... There is nothing that bears the soul quite like Classical Music!

  • i played this with my teacher on violin, myself on piano... audience was moved to tears at the recital.

  • Thank you so much

  • Waaaaaaayyy to fast. It needs to be slow to sound good. The piano at the very beginning made me cry!!

  • what a fucked up interpretation

  • This Prelude was played at Chopin's funeral. Beautiful.

  • I really liked watching so impressive photos.

  • so beautiful!!

  • Beautiful photos

  • Hi soschonpechn, I really like this interpretation but I can't recognize the pianist..... who's playing this prelude???

    Thanks

  • In certain circumstances on hearing that tune I would surely cry , it reflects unspeakable sorrow

  • J'aime votre version, bravo ...

  • emotional

  • Didn't Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin do an arrangment of this? I think it was from a Charles Bronson movie soundtrack.

  • NO MORE WAR INDEED ... ENOUGH !!!

  • i always find myself taking a big sigh near the end... IT CUZ I ALWAYS FORGET TO BREATHE!!

  • minunata melodia! vorbesc si eu in romana sa nu ma inteleaga nimeni :D

  • ....queste sono le note della mia vita.

  • best version

  • @humanpaintball88 of the top of my head it seems like the version from the movie "the pianist". could be wrong ofc...

  • @Cannonbo whoops. i looked it up. according to wikipedia that piece doesnt even appear in the movie... my bad.

  • @Cannonbo this is heard in "the notebook", but in "the pianist" chopin's nocturne in c sharp minor is heard, so you probably just mixed them up... i love both pieces <3

    :)

  • @PianoGhibli But if you look up Adrien Brody's Oscar win on YouTube, they played this piece as he was going on-stage to get his Oscar...at least the first part.

  • @blkchk yea dude i wish they had that in mp3 when he got that award for best actor cause it was so dam good lol but it was just an arrangement from the oscar symphony sad :(

  • love it! love it! love it!

  • CHOPIN i ... dotyk

    CHOPIN and.... tuche

  • I love this video very much

  • beautiful piece of music and very good choice and arrangement of pix too, thx.

  • marvelous

  • Honestly, not many things make me feel proud to be Polish. Chopin is.

  • the video doesnt help the music

  • @jemokjemok I completely agree :) It takes away from the beautiful piece.

  • super - very felt and artistic

  • does anyone knows who plays this?

  • check out my video response and tell me what you think!

    thanks,

    cheers,

    Mandy

  • its largo remember

  • too fast

  • I prefer the slower versions, it allows for a much more deep feeling of the chords he chose, and his feelings for choosing them.

  • yay !!! finally found it, i have been looking for this for 3 years !!! i love it !!!

  • Who's doing this one?

  • my all time favorite piano piece, love those sullen chords

  • whos playing that?

  • This is on his "greatest hits" cds. Simply put this is the absolute best version of this song. I love it.

  • wonderful song. but why is there a picture of a guitar in the movie??? lmao

  • @Danny15LL probably to portray that many musicians heard this and were inspired by it no matter the instrument they play, I learn Electric guitar for Rock n Roll and this piece will always inspire me even though it is of a completely different genre of music

  • Je trouve cela merveilleux.

  • It was too fast. Or at least a much faster interpretation of previous recordings that I have heard.

  • Beautiful music [= im really patriotic and i just love Poland,, as Chopin was from Poland (: I just love him and obviously his music,, i dont know if i should call this music reallyy,, its better than tht anyways haha

    Subsribin ofcourse

  • too fast. This song slays you to pieces. The last three chords sound like the end of life itself.

  • LOL true

  • grear pics.

  • I love this song. Going to start learning it after christmas for my senior recital.

  • Wow the best interpretation I have heard of this in a long time, I hope I can play this as good as you someday.

  • Beautiful beautiful!!! you play this piece so much like I do it's almost identical :-) Apart from your ending is loads nicer than mine, rubato heaven xx

  • This is a beautiful performance.

  • beautiful

  • I have been to war 3 times.... and i wouldnt say this is about salvation. Also you havent heard this in 25 years ???? Just watch the movie the Notebook, thatll make you cry.

  • wow.

    what a stupid comment.

  • so stupid that you replied to it.

  • mmhm thought i would let u know

  • have u ever been to war?

  • You don't know what war is. War is the destruction of harmony, the destruction of peace, the destruction of life. If you want that, you are not worthy of hearing this song, or any other form of art. You just are not.

  • fascinating music.

i love so much classic music, it takes your life different way.

  • you played that. the dynamics is just wonderful. i want to play that way. thanx a lot - yout are bookmarked ;-)

  • omg, I had not heard this piece for 25 years. So much has happened since, such tragedy, such sadness and heartache. Everytime I felt really down, I could hear this piece playing in the back of my mind, but could not remember the name to seek it out and hear the actual melody. But now, after searching for so long I have finally found it. Such a deep and moving piece of music I have never heard as this. It carried me like that poem ``Foot-prints`` where the Lord carries the writer thru life.

  • @packagepro I'm glad for you you found the song. I get that too often, I remember a melody and want the song but cant find it because I dont know the name.

Fels good when you do find it huh?! ^^

  • @packagepro

I have a half Heart here, and the other part , across the Ocean !!!!

you'll always be this part... Not frontiers for two Lovers....

With the same taste........ You teached me all.... I felt the Sky and in an starrynight........ I was dreaming with You......... You rised me Up, and Always will !!!

  • @packagepro I am glad you found it. This is such a moving piece. It's the first time I heard it. I am just tonight listening to all the Chopin I can. How wonderful.

  • Fantastic

  • In the first half the pice is belgin played tooo fast it should be smooth a slow but not too slow

  • You are very very funny

  • Don't ever say "kicks ass". Ever.

  • @springtime32 I like this interpretation, but I'd like it a little more if that was slowed down just a touch.

  • hey what is playing in the bass at 00:14?

    i thought it was f# g and d

    but it doesnt sound right....

  • It's f, a, d twice on the third beat, and then f, g#, d twice on the fourth. (the # is on the g and not the f)

  • no it is boring when it's to low

  • очень прекрасно:)

  • nice

  • i have the piano in the second picture!!! haha

  • Lucky, I have the piano in the first picture.

  • LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I play piano ..but I don t have enough money to bring one

  • Maravilhoso!

  • I love it, beautiful piece and clip !

  • interpretation, funny word.

How do you recreate the feelings of one who was subject to a particular environment in a certain period of time?

i think this piece is played a bit to fast for the subtle nuances. but then again who am i to say anything but my affinity to a person who can express such elegant simplicity

  • interpretation!

  • Very nice performer. I can't guess who is playing this...

    Greetings,

  • I think you slowed down too much in the last line.

  • WAY, too fast, i have played it before, and it is not ment to be played so fast.

  • Piękno Polskości...

  • excellent

  • it is really fast. they need to bring out the melody more and every time the left hand changes they need to add a little more umph in it not accent it but put a little more feeling in it

  • It's not fast at all. Listen to Cortot, the greatest Chopin interpreter of all time, and you will actually find this played much slower.

  • it is really fast and Cortot plays it much slower

  • I beg to differ. Search youtube for Cortot and Rubinstein playing this piece. Both of them play at a much faster tempo.

I'm not necessarily saying that it's correct to play this faster, because afterall the piece is largo but the interpretation of those two masters is interesting to listen to.

  • can someone upload the one arranged with piano, violin and cello

  • is this track from a cd of a book? "klavierhandbuch" ,because its the same as mine,,,

  • Good song, I'm learning it in Piano

and I agree, too fast on some parts

  • Best performance of this piece I ever heard. I try to play this and know how difficult it is to meld the pathos and the smoothness in just the right way. You play this as least as well as the professionals. Congratulations!

  • I agree.

Actually the piece itself isn't difficult, but playing it with such passion and smoothness is difficult.

  • where's the fire?

  • This is too fast.

  • i agree

  • serach chopin7777777 and lisen my prelude op.28 nº 4. i hop u like^^

  • Who admires this tune, will certanly admire a song called "Insensatez" or "Insensitive", wich was written by the great brazillian composer Tom Jobim inspired by this prelude. Check it out, there´s versions in portuguese and english, and was recorded by some of the best musicians we now.

  • my favorite Chopin piece, i remember listening to it a lot in school,

it has a progression that builds up and then you loose it and then you come back to the beginning

  • polish pianist Fryderyk Chopin, i love his music :)

  • if all humans have the opportunity to hear this prelude, never more a war appear

  • Yeah. We need a massive speaker.

  • Way too fast. It's a gorgeous piece, but this is so rushed, there's no time to enjoy the beauty of it. :(

  • For me this is one of the happies songs ever :o)

Good performance. I like it. Can't get the connection with the pictures and the music as well. But thanks anyhow for posting it, there are quite a few terrible performances out there.

  • as much as it's played beautifully, i think the visual component of this video is kitsch

  • true, it sucks in an epic way

    ougk

  • :) This is the speed I played it for my piano test. It was heck learning how to slow down properly, but well worth it.

  • Refine beautiful performance. Good school.

  • i like this better than the slower interpretations done by some pianists, although the slower ones are beautiful as well.

  • ahhhhhhhhh hermoso en estos momentos la estoy estudiando y uff es implemente genial chopin era un dios definitivamente

  • Es la de la banda sonora del pianista no? es decir interpretada por Janusz Olejniczak
