  • Ragan did act like a bitch...he showed NO CLASS. Just like Enzo said. I am friends with everybody. Ragan was out of line. Now later he realized the error of his ways and is friends with her.

  • No not at all. It is the people that say nothing but think something anti- that are your true enemy. Those that make casual comments are not your enemy.

  • Homo " human species " phobic " having an intolerance or aversion for " Would be the fear of People. Homophobic is a derogatory statement.

  • @dontanner232 Actually, homo means same, so homophobic is the fear of something similar. Hence, homosexual refers to those who partner with the same gender. Homophobic is not a derogatory statement because in order for a word to gain a derogatory meaning, there has to be a historical context in which the term had positive value then gained a negative definition when referring to a group of people, usually people of minority status. In this case, it just doesn't work with your argument.

  • Team Ragan!! Yes, Rachel does say homophobic things to him all of the time in that house! She also uses his sexuality as an insult to him. That was her way of fighting back when arguing w/ him. She is just vile!!

  • Am I the only gay guy that thinks Regan need to get over it... i only hope people read the CBS Forum's to see the real Regan in action..just in case you missed BBAD..

  • I don't think her comments were homophobic because even though the rest of the house didn't exactly care for her, no one made it an issue as much as Ragan did. And it's really ironic how alot of Ragan's comments ended up applying to himself in the end. He got voted out unanimously, he acted pretty emotional and ended up annoying most of the brigade his last week. Just like Rachel having Brendon, Ragan couldn't count on anyone other than Matt (who in the end throws him under the bus also.)

  • I also think it's unfair how production hung Rachel out to dry over her mild comments on Ragan's sexuality. Last season Jeff's edit turned him into America's Favorite even though he frequently used homophobic slurs like "you fucking jealous faggot" or "Go upstairs and jerk off Jessie you fucking homo." Jeff was a real homophobe. (And to a lesser extent so was Jordan.) But CBS protected J/J.

  • @bobsyeronkla Ugh, don't remind me about Jeff, I still can't stand him! I heard his homophobic slurs, and yet even some gay men were fine with them because they got the sense that "Jeff is a nice guy" and "Jeff doesn't mean them in a homophobic way," etc... When Jeff & Jordan showed up this year, I couldn't stomach watching the Veto they were involved in. CBS shouldn't be protecting ANY of the houseguests...including Ragan if he's making disgusting remarks!

  • Her comments weren't even close to being homophobic. They were spot on. Ragan's a phony who would exaggerate his stereotypical mannerisms for the show. He used to rehearse off color jokes and queeny comments. He also has an extremely nasty personality. He was constantly making AIDS, abortion, deab baby, child molester jokes. (Ex. He said he wanted to stab African babies with an AIDS needle because production played U2 as wake up music.) Ragan is a douche bad and a hypocrite.

  • @bobsyeronkla Did this happen off camera? Where did you see this?

  • @princewonder It was on the live feeds. TV viewers never got to see what an a-hole Ragan was because Alison Grodner hates controversy. If they showed him, for example, saying he wanted to perform the abortion himself if Brendon and Rachel are having a baby it would have outraged certain viewers. They also couldn't show him calling the hula girls meth addicts, because that's slanderous. Or the numerous "full blown AIDS" and child rape jokes because it's just plain offensive.

  • @bobsyeronkla Sorry, but if you don't have it to post up, I don't believe you. I've seen the After Dark feeds, and never heard anything resembling what you're saying. Moreover, I have my suspicions about your reliability when you don't see Rachel making a remark and invoking Ragan's sexual orientation as homophobic. She chose to make an issue out of his being gay, and that in and of itself is homophobic. And BTW, Ragan was annoying...but in his altercation with Rachel, he smoked her!

  • @andell1 You do realize After Dark only covers the last three hours of every day, right? His comment about stabbing African babies with an AIDS needle happened in the early morning. His comment about wanting to perform an abortion on Rachel was caught by TV Grapevine on Aug. 31. I heard him say it with my own ears. You don't need to take my word for it though, Just google "ragan big brother" and the stuff I mentioned. You'll get plenty of links to discussion boards reacting to it.

  • @princewonder

It happened on feeds and from reports on what is said in the DR.

Not to mention Ragan has a blog talking about all his sexual encounters and the time her got gonorrhea :/

Ragan is probably 10X more nasty than Rachel. LOL.

  • @Gr33nkiwi And on the blog post about his bout with gonorrhea he said people shouldn't be afraid to admit they caught an STD. Yet while he was in the house he constantly attacked Rachel for being promiscuous and insulted her for allegedly having an STD. (There's no evidence that she did BTW.) Such a hypocrite. Given his attitude about AIDS (he thinks its a joke) it's no wonder he caught an STD.

  • @bobsyeronkla Exactly he's a disgusting hypocrite who acts like hes above Rachel, when in reality Rachel is probably the better person. LOL

  • @princewonder Actully yes, it did happen off camera, i have live feeds and remember it.

  • It wasn't homophobic. She was just trying to get to Ragan, and knew what would get to him. It was strictly to get under his skin, and that's what did it. She has nothing against gay people. She loves them. Also, Ragan's the one who bullies her, not the other way around.

  • @ilovekelly75 How and when did he bully her? I never saw that?

  • @princewonder I just think the whole thing between them started with their first fight when Ragan looked at her and said "okay, Rachel," in a condescending way becasue he didn't like that she said he and Matt were a pair. Also, he had been making fun of her behind her back long before that when she had done nothing to him, like with their games of trapped, and what he, Matt, and Britney did in her HOH room with her hair extensions.

  • @princewonder maybe you should watch showtime

  • How do you suck at being gay, is her idea of gay people just silly fags that will follow woman around dressing them and saying stupid shit. Rachael is a retard.

  • Comment removed

  • @natesot I think she's just saying because he can't get a boyfriend. She said that part a couple times, so that might be what she meant.

  • I don't think she meant to be homophobic but it certainly came out mean spirited. A lot of what was said between Rachel and Ragan was said in the heat of the moment. But it made great tv! Probably the highlight of season 12.

  • I don't know if homophobic is the word, but she definitely labeled gay people as "bitches". I could have sworn that she said that she didn't use that word. That she's "above it" or something. It was during the Kristen week. Oh well. She's out now. Sad part is, I don't think she, or even Brendon, will learn anything from her behavior.

Ragan's still a rock star and I hope he wins the entire thing.

  • If you watch the entire 9 minute clip there was alot more said by both of them.

Yes the comment was anti gay, her tone was angry and she was also trying to belittle him. He was also trying to put her in her place for more reasons than her comments. In essence she's not that bright, she'll say anything when angry and feels she's "outnumbered" or in this case "lost the game." I'm not to sure if she's truly anti gay in reality, in essence it was basically what I call "catty"

  • u look funny

  • @porsche187 Ok....

  • Of course she's homophobic. Anyone who says otherwise is a certified idiot.

  • I wouldn't necessarily say "homophobic", but the emotions these two showed were heightened by the seclusion and the social deprivation they've experienced. I happen to think Ragan was a bit childish in his remarks to Rachel (and I can't stand her...or anyone who yells in the diary room). I would have liked it better had he waved her off and walked away. Mark, if you make it onto the show next year, I'll totally root for you the whole way...but keep your head & keep your cool!

  • @comicbookqueers Not IF, WHEN I make it on the show! :) Send me some good karma. We need a Gaysian on the show!

  • @princewonder Yes...WHEN you get on the show! Who do I need to call? :)

  • No rachel is not homophobic and I don't believe she said anything homophobic in any of these scenes, and I don't even like rachel.

  • I loved last nights episode, my friend walked in right when rachel walked in the door, he was laughing his ass off.

  • ya she is homophobic

  • Yes I do think Rachel is kinda homophobic and I feel sorry for Ragan. However, I think the argument was entertaining. I love bitch-fight....
