This all started back during the 2003 or 2004 season and it's become a tradition. You really have to be there to experience it, although this video does a good job of giving you the feel for it. And that this was filmed during the playoffs just makes it more awesome. And I'm 51, by the way, and a life-long Sox fan. These owners, more than any previous owners fo the Sox - get it.

On this particular night the park was full of fans eager to celebrate another ALCS win. What a night it was too! Warm weather for October...and by the 8th inning....it was clear the win was inevitable. Hope you get to Fenway...even as a Yankee fan...I think you will enjoy it! Actually, numbers do start from 0. That's like saying the first $1 of $100 doesn't count. However, you are right in that the general rule is centuries start with 2001...But the reason is because years went from 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. and there was no 0 year. It really was a fabulous night! The Indians managed to stay in it long enough to keep the suspense building...but then when the Sox broke it open...the was nothing left to do but relish every moment! The only time we sat down all night was in between the innings!
