  • Yeah, you're right about that. I was using a line 6 Spider 2, which I hated and am still paying for it, plus my camera has a crappy mic built in and I could never figure it out.

  • I never said that!

  • very cool guitar what wood is that??

i enjoy making my own guitars too.

  • The guitar is made of Ash wood. Which is now in danger from the Ash Borer, so buy it up now!

  • John, I just ran across your vid lessons and can't wait to get home and try some of the stuff out. I like the clear and concise way you explain what you are doing. I'm looking forward to building my chops up with your help!

  • John, was this in your big apartment building or is it your new house? I was just wondering.

  • Your stuff is really helping me man. I'm not really a fan of the look of your guitars, but they sound great.

  • yeah, some of them are a bit out there, but they said the same thing about Fenders and Gibsons in the fifties. Glad you like the music though!

  • Thanks, really helps.

  • this is all cool and shitt..idk..i just pick up my jackson and jam..haha

  • I wish I still had my Jackson! Yup I just pick it it up and jam too, but to teach you have to know what you're playing. Peace

  • Real cool dude, nice playing and nice guitar ;)

  • I wish I could comp like that ... time to break out my Real Book and do some time in the woodshed! Great work on the guitar too ... Sweet tone!

  • Hi Cool ,,,,Love the Blues Stuff /Jazz ..you got great feel ,,love the guitar ,,i agree I learned something Kool

  • Glad you learned something new. I played blues for a long time, but since I have been listening to Jazz my whole life has changed, my ears are getting bigger every day!

  • I wish I could do some more before I move, but I do promise the next ones to be more concise and better sound!

  • wow... awesome! Thank you so much for this video! I was just getting into electric blues solos and didn't know how to be creative with the given scales..

thanks for the lesson and the inspiration! god bless!

  • Thanks a lot for the lesson, it's great. I've seen a lot of guitar lessons here but none as clear as yours.

    It was very helpful.

  • Dude, that makes me feel good! I don't play out anymore and teaching myself and others is what I really dig. I think we can all learn from each other.

I really hate competition among musicians unless it's very friendly! This is our passion. It's not a game.

Peace, and thanks for the comps. I will try to do better next time.

    John

  • thanks for the vid dude...your vid is easy to learn. hope to see the 2nd part soon!

  • I'm right in the middle of moving, but hope to get a part 2 together soon.

    Thanks, John

  • thanx man, this was pretty cool I actually learned something YAY! ^_^

  • Hey, happy to share anything I know. Not that I know that much! Let me know if you have specific questions, and if I know the answers, no prob.
