Not surprise by the drug allegations .The Go Gos started off as HARDCORE punk rockers with pink /blue /whatever colored hair,multiple piercings..... The record labeled cleaned them up ,glammed them out. and changed their sound,to pop bubble gum,leaving alot of early fans dissapointed ..Belinda used to be alot bigger than she was in this video.

Regardless it didn't keep the group from breaking up, of course. When things change you have to adapt in some way, otherwise you'll just be stuck in an era frozen in time so to speak. The 80s Go-Gos phenomenon was fun while it lasted though.

This was THE HIPPEST BAND OF THE 80s. There were cooler ones, hotter ones, more rockin ones......BUT NOT A HIPPER ONE ANYWHERE! I have so many young people listening to these great 70s & 80s bands. I got alot of us older generation onto Nightwish, Delain, and Leaves Eyes. I guess you can call me an ambassador for music.
