  • just orded 2 p310d4 and a hfi1000d will i blow thes woofers in a vented box

  • @mitchellsealcoating No you will not blow these subs with this amp and box. RF has good quality woofers so you can be assured that they can take the punishment.

  • @mitchellsealcoating just got my setup from u guys all i have too say is wow p3 rocks i hve them in a 1.25 ventd each sub and the hfi1000d at 1ohm they slam there alot louder and cleaner then my infinity ref10d4 i love sonic u guys rock

  • @SonicElectronixTV hey! my package just came last saturday,im happy with my box and wire kits... BUT!.. you send the wrong amplifier item... i ordered 1500W RMS, Class D Monoblock HFi Series Amplifier (HFi 1500D) and when i noticed when i tried my ampLifier to my subs, its not pushing it well, and when i read my manual it says its 800watts! and when i look again to my amp.. its 800W RMS, 4-Channel HFi Series Amplifier (HFi 100.4) and im not happy with that..coz thats not the item i ordered..:(

  • @iXxXy08 Please give us a call at 18772897664 or Email us at support@sonicelectronix[DOT]com in order for us to get this issue taken care of for you!

  • I have two of these they're badass subwoofers. Lasting 4+ years and still running.

The only thing I dont like about them is the surround is like a foam substance. So it isn't as durable as a rubber surround. But like I said, they've lasted me 4 years. Running at least 100 watts over RMS all the time

  • @sonicElectronixTV What size or kind of amp. would you recommend one 2 P3D4-10's?. And is it that much of a difference if i have a ported carpet box or ported rhino covered box?.

  • @72riders We would recommend the Hifonics GLX1000.1D. This amp was just release from CES and would be a perfect match. As for the Carpet VS the rhino covered box, this will not really affect the sound quality.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Cool thanks!. How about a P1000-1bd

1000 Watt Class-bd Mono Amplifier?. Cuz i was told today i would need and 800 watt amp because the P1000 could blow the subs!. I was a bit confused after told that, well because idk exactly how it all works with the ohms and stuff?. And personaly i like keeping everything the same brand!.

  • @72riders These subs will be able to handle the p1000. Each subwoofer is rated for 500 Watts RMS so you need a total of 1000 Watts RMS. This is not going to blow them.

  • Hey man, I was just wondering would you choose P2D4-12's or P3D4-10's for better bass? I'll run it on an R500-1 amp as well I reckon

  • @Cooocharruuu It would probabaly be better to run the P3D4-10's for this amplifier. It matches the RMS power requirement perfectly at 500 watts. We would say if you want more accurate bass you should go for the 10" but if you want more volume over SQ then go with the 12.

  • Type r or p3s??

  • @TheMickyd70 These are both excellet subwoofers. If we had to choose one over the other, the Type R is going to be our pick only because they are more durrable. However, you can not go wrong with either one.

  • 1 more question..... Which would give me more bass out of the p3's or the power acoustik mofo 12?

  • @emsboy3 The P3's will hit much louder and cleaner then the MOFO's. Overall, the P3 out preforms the MOFO in every catagory.

  • Are the 2011 p3's a better sub then the kicker cvr? Which would hit the harder of the 2?

  • @emsboy3 In this case, the Rockford Fosgate P3 would be louder then the CVR. The P3 has 200 Watts of additional power handling over the CVR and will have about 4 more millimeters of excursion.

  • yo yo yo i wanna know i powerbass 3xl subs are any good

  • @sonicelectronixtv is kicker subs good

  • @MrBestrong1 Kicker subwoofer are great. They are dependable and well constructed. Kicker has a long line of subswoofer from their beginner Comp VR series to their more professional Solo X series subwoofers. Another great thing about Kicker woofer is that they are warranty by a great company who really does care about their fans and customers. If you are having any doubts about Kicker put them aside and just start asking yourself how much power do you really want.

  • Please do a video of the new rockford P3's.

  • @WeAreTwoDoorsDown We are actually complete rebuilding our video department. With this new format we are going to implement we will me making more videos more frequently. We are continuing to grow as a company and are always looking in ways on which to improve. So bare with us and you might just see a video on the new P3's pretty soon.

  • Why are some p3d412's measured in 600 watt rms and others measured in 500 rms????? Im lost i wanna buy them but not if their 500? and is their even a sound difference between 100 watts and will 2 sound good in a small car like a neon in the trunk???????:)

  • @dannycrane94 The 500W RMS are the 2009 models, while the 600W RMS are the 2011 models. Yes 100 watts can make a real difference, if the woofer is able to handle more power it will play louder. Yeah two of those would be super loud in a small car like that. I would suggest just going with one 12" P3 subwoofer. Going with two will cost a little more because you will need thicker wiring, a bigger amp, and a bigger enclosure.

  • @SonicElectronixTV If I go with two with a sealed enclosure in the trunk in my neon will they still rattle the car and will people still hear them when im going down the road since i wont be using a vented? and in your expert opinion would a dual sealed enclosure fit in the trunk even though it is smaller than a vented? Thanks:)

  • @dannycrane94 Two P3 subs in a small car like yours will make it rattle and trust me people will hear you. Two P3 subs will equal 1200W RMS and that is a lot of power. You will need a bigger battery possibly a new alternator and 0 gauge wiring. They will sound tighter and more precise in sealed enclosures but will hit lower notes in a vented enclosure. You will have to measure the space available to see if you can fit a dual enclosure but you should be able to.

  • Sorry i meant the 2011 p3 rated at 600 watts rms

  • @Spartan193069 Like mentioned before. I would personally go with the P3 subwoofer over the Pioneer. Both are great but in my opinion the P3 woofer features some technologies that really set them apart from other woofers.

  • @SonicElectronixTV thanks for the fast reply! and also what about the 2011 p3 or the 12'' w3 from jl audio?

  • @Spartan193069 The P3 will have a slightly higher output and will hit a bit lower but the JL W3 will hit more precisely. This is a hard choice to make and it will come down to which sounds better to you. I am a JL Audio fan and will always choose them over just about any other company, with the exception of high-end companies. I prefer accurate and tight bass so for me the W3 is a better match. However the P3 is a great woofer and in no way inferior to the W3.

  • Should i get this 12'' p3 or the 12'' Pioneer TS-W3002D4. Which do you recommend

  • @Spartan193069 Both are great subwoofers. The Pioneer woofer is able to power handle a bit more than the P3 but the P3 will still hit very hard. In my opinion the P3 is a bit more punchy and accurate, while the Pioneer is a bit more focused on lower bass. If i had to choose I would personally go with the P3, its very affective and produces really clean bass. The technologies used in the P3 make it and outstanding woofer. However the Pioneer woofer is great also, its all about preference.

  • @BigTwoSevenKills Yes most definitely, just wire the subs in parallel/parallel to a final impednace of 1 ohm. The subs require 600W RMS each for a total of 1200W RMS and the amp will output 1200W RMS at 1 ohm. Perfect match up. Make sure you are using 1/0 gauge wiring or very high-end 4 gauge wiring.

  • @BigTwoSevenKills Me personally I would say the Rockford Fosgate P3 subwoofers in a ported enclosure for tremendous bass.

  • @BigTwoSevenKills The P3 and Type-R will output 600W RMS while the CVR will only do 400. The Type-R has more excursion than the P3 or the CVR. Its preference at this point. If you want a sub with more bass go with the Type-R, if you want a sub that is a bit more precise go with the P3. I personally prefer the P3 to the Type-R or the CVR but they are all great subwoofers. I also just happen to like the looks of the P3 a bit more but in sound they are all great.

  • Love my p3s I got 2 ohms tho

  • I didnt understand 1 word he said .. -__-

  • SOME 1 TOLD ME THIS SUB SUCK THEY SAY TRY A MTX SQUARE SUB THE TS8512 12INCH

  • I'm having difficulties on choosing which subwoofer i should get . i want a hard hitting sub at low frequency and highs.

which one of these subs would satisfy me the most?

    Alpine swr-1243d or

    Rockford fosgate Punch p3d412?

  • @jlui530 Honestly both are great subs, one is not better than the other. They are different subs with different technologies. In my opinion the Type-R will hit harder and create more excursion, it is a very power hungry subwoofer. The P3 subwoofer will have a fuller sounding bass. If it was me personally I would say go with the P3, its a good subwoofer with some great technologies. Its reliable and will give a full bass.

  • How you get it turned so well?

  • @bloomy

Ur subwoofer is not gettng enough power to it. Thts why ur gettin the pop noise.

  • I was wondering is it better to get a dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm.any positives negatives to either.i have three p3s in my car now but when I need trunk space I wanna take that out n put one p3 in a sealed box since its smaller than ported box.

  • @broncoramfan The differences between the impendances (ohms) is basically your wiring options. If you're driving those three P3's off of an amplifier at a certain impedances, you still may be able to achieve the same final impedance by wiring your subwoofers together outside of the enclosures together.

  • I Have a Rockford Fosgate 12'' P3 Shallow Mount Powered By A Rockford Fosgate t-600 Amp. It Sounds Pretty good but When I Turn It Way up The Sub Starts To Make A Poping Noise When It Hits Real Hard And I Was Wondering If Anybody Knew Why It Would Be Doing This?????

  • @Bloomy124 Well with a T600 amplifier if you have it wired in parallel to a final impedance of 4 Ohms and driving the full 600W RMS to it bridged, then as long as it's tuned properly with the gains you shouldn't be experiencing this issue. The box may be leaking or breaking, but it's possible that there's distortion from incorrect amplifier tuning. Check your bass boost/gains and make sure they're not overly cranked.

  • would it be worth it to trade my rockford fosgate punches 2 12 inch p1s of tha very first model ever for an amp that can push 2 12 in p3s?

  • @BubblegumAndSnickers Well if you are looking for more power and bass then yes because the P3 will out perform the P1. The P3 ha been vastly improved to hit harder, sound better and just last longer than the older models. If you are ok with the amount of power and sound you are getting now then their is honestly no need to upgrade. If you do choose to upgrade you will be looking at a very improved audio system.

  • hey do you think that 2 cubic ft is too much for the 12 inch version if i go ported. i believe the maximum ported space is around 1.4 cubic ft but would 2 cubic ft be too much.

  • dam juz bought these but juz found out i need a bigger amp and i thought tha one i had cud push these oh well tho itll all be worth tha money wen im the one hitting harder

  • @BubblegumAndSnickers You're right about that! Car Audio installations usually end up tougher than initially anticipated, and other factors usually come into play. Let us know if you have the Dual 4 Ohm or Dual 2 Ohm model and we'll recommend a few amplifiers with some good value to you.

  • @SonicElectronixTV i got the dual 4 ohm looking to wire it dwn to 1 ohm tho.. thanks for helping

  • @BubblegumAndSnickers If you are looking to wire down your Dual 4 Ohm subs to one 1 ohm, we recommend going with the Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D. This amp will do 1200W RMS at 1 ohm and is CEA Compliant so that you are getting true rated power which is great for 2 P3s. You will want to wire them in a parallel/parallel configuration to get that final 1 ohm impedance. If you need help with wiring, we now offer a wiring guide for all subs on our central homepage.

  • I just bought a 03 dodge ram 1500 single cab. i am thinking about picking up two P3 10" or should i consider the P3S?

  • @AUSTINkPIERCE The main thing to consider is "space". The P3S will require 3-1/2" of top mount depth, while the P3 will need 6-3/16" of top mount depth. You will really need to consider just how much room you have in your vehicle, this will help with the selection of the correct subs for your car. Another major factor is the power handling. The P3S will do 300W RMS. The regular P3 will do 500W RMS. If you have the space for it, we recommend a P3 over a P3S. You will get more bass and more power.

  • @SonicElectronixTV I was recently looking at your website and thinking about ordering the Rockford Fosgate T2652 Component speakers.........but I read on several forums that you scratch out the serial numbers or something like that on the speakers, not sure if this is true or not, but you could clarify this for me......I'd really like to order them, but it is fishy that you can sell them for $200.00 less than other competitors, that ARE authorized Rockford Fosgate dealers.

  • @iRockFosgate Products purchased from us will maintain integrity from the manufacturer. Every product on our website (excluding our Liquidation Station) will be brand new, factory sealed. In the case of Rockford Fosgate we will honor the manufacturer warranty with a SonicElectronix warranty. In the circumstance that you require warranty service you can send the product directly back to us as opposed to the manufacturer and we will handle all claims. Hope this clarifies everything!

  • @SonicElectronixTV thank you for the quick reply, and yes this clarifies everything.

    Thanks again

  • @SonicElectronixTV is it true that rockford fosgate p3 is glued together not bolted or screwed together.

  • you forgot to remove the magnet cover......i guess RF doesn't want to reveal their subs secrets

  • Comment removed

  • what would be the best amp to push 3 of these? like around 350$

  • @TheMickyd70 It depends which size you're planning on running. If you're looking to run 10"s, they require a little less power handling than the 12" or 15" model. Let's assume you're going with the 12" Model since it's the most popular. You might want to run with the Dual 2 Ohm model so you can run them in parallel to a final impedance of 1.33 Ohms.

As for an amp, the BRZ1700.1D by Hifonics is a great matchup for that. It runs about 1700W RMS at 1 Ohm, so it would be perfect at 1.33 Ohms.

  • I had a single P2D412 hooked to a JBL 600.1W mono. It sounded amazing. So amazing that some god damn tweakers decided that they wanted to jack it. Luckily they were too stupid to figure how to get my deck and amp. Anyways, I'm looking to get a new one. I can't decide between the P3s or JL Audio 12W1s. Both are with my price range. Any suggestions?

  • @nuggz503 The P3's will provide more bass, The JL Audio 12" W3 will be more comparable with the amount of bass the P3's put out.

The W1's are some great subs for high sound quality, personally, I would recommend the JL Audio 12" W3's, as they are some of my favorite subwoofers for overall sound quality and sound pressure.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Hey great advice. Thanks for the info. I would love some W3's but a bit out of my budget so I went w/ the P3's. Thanks again. Love the channel!

  • @nuggz503 No problem. Stay with us and let us know if you have any requests for videos in the future. Glad to hear you got some replacements.

  • i love sonic electronix videos, sonic should make a video of the Soundstream XXX15 or18 or the RE XXX.

  • i just got these yesterday and i was blown away it hits harder than the kicker l5 and the cvr. Definitely gonna go over to rockford fosgate stuff

  • i just bought this subwoofer from sonic electronix for 144.99 buck i cant wait!!

  • SETH!!!!!!!!!! \m/

  • seth!!!!!

  • it has an ugly cone. it would only look good reverted imo.

  • SETH IS BACK!!!! WOOOHOOO

  • thank u for the vid, i have been waiting

  • @yourjoshinme1 You are welcome! Feel free to let us know any other request that you have and we will do our best to do a video review on it.

  • P3s were always good, but so many people talk alot shit about them. I see nothing wrong with them at all. What these haters need to do is worry about what goes into their car instead of someone elses.

  • Nice job on meeting that request!

  • is rockford ever going to go back to making "top of the line" subs, not saying they are junk, but they ruled the early 90's and 80's, then they started making cheap crap

  • @dustinallen1982 what are u talking about? i have 2 p3 12" subs in a sealed box and they are really loud. i have vids uploaded of them if you or anyone else wants to see the potential of these subs with a rockford fosgate t-1000-bd amp and a rf 1 farad digital capacitor.

  • @pawnstar365 I just switched my subs from a sealed enclosure, to a ported one. There's a big difference bro. Everything in my ride is shaking right now, lol! Plus the enclosure is much bigger than the one I had before. But everyone has different taste in sound. Just give it a try. And I'll check your clips.

  • last?

  • By popular request, here is our product review on the Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 subwoofers.

  • @SonicElectronixTV HOW MUCH ARE THESE?

  • @KKLANERO323 The one we reviewed in the video (P3D412) is currently $144.99 on our site. Different sizes and impedances will vary the price. Click the link in the description for the latest prices.
