Even though Communism may have alluded to a moneyless society eventually, it had no method for which to accomplish this. This is key, for Communism never laid out the technological and scientific blueprints to accomplish its idealized goals.
Communism is largely for the labour class; a RBE would eliminate the labour class and automate as many jobs as possible.
Some differences include (but are not limited to):
Communism, like any other political or economic disposition, is not explicitly related to RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. Its tenets are not derived from applying the scientific method for social concern.
Communism doesn’t eradicate scarcity and hence it still has a notion of "property" (state or commonly-owned). Property is a scarcity-based contrivance. A RBE (which generates abundance) surpasses the need for any notion of "property".
@jazzysaravana Everything on planet Earth is finite. If there's no money and prices to distribute goods and services, then a government rations them out as it sees fit. You want to see scarcity? Take a look back at the bread and toilet paper lines in the former USSR.
For machines to replace 100% of human jobs, they would need mental and physical abilities equal to humans. That would make them our slaves. "The Terminator" and "Battlestar Galactica" gave us a chilling view of this.

@BRYAN351 obviously you would support COMMUNISM, it has never been done properly. It has started but has always been corrupted by groups of people, like in Russia how it started with the right ideals but got changed into STARLINISM over time. COMMUNISM will not make "all of lifes problems" magically dissapear. But it will cause "most of lifes problems" to dissapear as most problems are cause by inequality and a twisted system mentality which force people to judge selfworth on "material gain".
@shaktiX No, I don't support communism. I support FREEDOM. Yes, communism has never been done properly, because human nature (yes, there is such a thing, despite what PJ says) dooms it to failure. It always fails because a few work hard and the rest become slackers. The producers resent the slackers, and the house of cards collapses.
Humans are unique individuals with varied interests, talents, I.Q.'s, personalities, motivations, etc., so economic diversity is inevitable and fair.
@BRYAN351 you dont support communism, you support FREEDOM? LOL are you an ad for the US army if you think human nature is some set thing while saying how diverse people are you dont know what you're talking about, secondly if you think communism failed because of human nature you need to read more, then you will find it succeeded as well as failed. To put it simply it has failed in some places simply because its been attacked by outside capitalist forces. cont.
@BRYAN351 cont. And just because people are diverse in personality, talents and even intelligence dont mean they need to be economically diverse. That way of looking at things is what creates 'slackers' or 'producers' or a class lives off the work of others. People should get rid of all pointless jobs like the whole finance sector, and do things that actually produce real things for humans. And with so many people there will be less work individually. Dont have to work just to live.
@shaktiX Diversity in human traits doesn't mean they "need" to be economically diverse, it means they WILL be economically diverse. Anyone that denies this fact of life is suffering from envy.
Some people are SLACKERS, some people are GO-GETTERS. I've known many of both in my 43 years. Someone who sleeps 'til noon, spends his days playing XBox and jacking off to porn, and whose only ambition is to suck on the government tit, doesn't deserve what a hard working entrepreneur has earned.
@BRYAN351 What you say makes sense if the world only had "entrepreneurs" and "slackers" but in reality most people anywhere are just "workers" They work most of their lives away usually in the same job to achieve some standard of living. You think everyone has the same opportunities, that everyone can become an entrepreneur if they just work hard? You're blinded by your own success economic equality WOULD be unfair to entrepreneurs but fair to EVERYONE ELSE.
@BRYAN351 All of life's problems will magically disappear? What nonsense is this?
The Venus Project never states this, and in fact states there will ALWAYS be problems. It's just we can do a load better than the dilapidated, lagging culture of profit at all cost etc that we have now.
@hypernation2007 That's the whole sales pitch of the Zeitgeist movies. "Buy into our system and all of our troubles will be over." Why else would you be on board with it?

The core problem is private bankster-created debt-based money. Govt-created DEBT-FREE money is the solution. See "THE MONEY MASTERS."
@InContemplation You can no more render property rights obsolete than you could render freedom obsolete, because one depends on the other.
Money is only a tool. A medium of exchange. A quantitative measure of one's successful productive endeavors. Money only helps humans by making commerce operate more efficiently than if we used a barter system.
Private bankster-created debt-based money is a Ponzi scheme. Govt-created DEBT-FREE money is the solution. See "THE MONEY MASTERS."
@BRYAN351 Money differentiates based on the scarcity of the product/ service being sold. Given the technology we have at our disposal, scarcity could be eliminated within the month if money was taken from the equation.
I dont think the same government with finance ties with the banking cartels and major corporations who've been quick to ignore civil liberties should control the money.
Also, I wasnt speaking of property rights being rendered obsolete, but the necessity of property.
@InContemplation The only people that advocate getting rid of money and property are people that don't fucking have any money or property. Nay, you say? It´s cool being part of the hip revolution but people who work for the system, who ARE the system, what do they have to change apart from themselves first?
It´s the beggars, the refugees, it´s your neighbour unable to pay his bills, it´s the old people suffering loneliness and depression living in social isolation: THEY are kicked out the system already you prudently try to change. Ask them how it works to survive, then you know what to do. I bet it won´t be that hip anymore.
Hi, have heard Ben speak in different occasions, very well spoken but bottom line is that he is telling the same story again and nothing is getting done.
People with wealth and power will not give up their positions in society regardless of how well you express yourself.
I once said over voice chat, imagine everybody in the world know about the RBE still wont make a dent on change because the mass are not in control.
Change that and then the world can be change else we still screwed up!!
I love Peter Joseph but it is sooo beautiful to see emerging other articulate people in the movement. It makes them that much stronger. Can you imagine a politician talking like this? ....just making sense? Or the Pope? The Zeitgeist movement is passing the test of time better than I could imagine. I never thought that reason and critical thinking and science would make me feel so spiritual.
Lol when they said that Satan was in the center of the earth, they must of meant oil. ( Fossil fuel is from corpse of the living for those who don't know)
Very nice. Thank you. Could someone please help me understand why it's a good idea to get out of dept? I mean, who cares what my - # are at this point? I could declare bankrupcy and get level, but even that, why bother?
This is awesome, really great to see it from a British perspective, we need lots more of this! Looking forward to seeing and distributing the full documentary. British Tabloids and their constant pushing of moronic celebrity culture on the public is really depressing, its embarrassing and shameful really. The day that stuffs gone for good will be a milestone.
I love this movement but I simply can't get over the aversion to voting. I agree on the lack of choice principal but that's exactly why I think you NEED to vote, and more then that hold them accountable. If you had the majority of people on the same level as this movement actively involved in politics and demanding this change I don't see how that would be anything but an incredible moment for humanity. It's the mindless, uneducated, unenthsiastic voting that's the problem...
@Aldridge517 It is well known that in the field of philosophy, in order for something to exist it needs a beginning and an ending, the "God" has neither, therefore it doesn't exist.
Gravity keeps us leveled and the rest of nature gives us food, shelter and overall life. God gives us life? No, nature does.
@blackyblackblack505 That doesn't answer my question. What you said (summarized) is that if you believe in nature than you are not an atheist (someone who doesn't believe in god). What your original post is saying is that if you believe in nature, than you believe in god. I asked you what nature had to do with someones beliefs in god and you went on to explain why god couldn't exist which is a contradiction to your original post.
@Aldridge517 I guess faith is an abstract term in your mental dictionary. No one really knows anything, we only know what we're told. Empirical information can be made to look like anything, hence today's faith lies in one god instead of many. Whose to say that in 100 years from now it'll be different? Chances are you are human, a woman and a man created you and nature nurtures you.
@blackyblackblack505 Ok, so now you're just rambling and avoiding the question all together. First you said if you believe in nature you're not an atheist, then you said god doesn't exist, now you're rambling about faith using fallible and ambiguous statements. I'm done talking to you because I can see this is going nowhere. For future reference stop trying to use big words and learn how to have a coherent conversation. Straight talk > Ambiguity
Atheism is a dangerous delusion. Know yourself. Your nature is always a duality; logical part and non logical part. Remember that, one always manifest itself in two.
Don't use smart phones or wireless internet. You are the smart one! All wireless devices are highly dangerous.
Science in the way its being conducted is not helping mankind at all, in fact is being orchestrated to enslave you.
Zeitgeist/Singularity, is the most dangerous state of mind that mankind has ever faced.
@SzlampStudios I did not know that. Do you have any respectable articles I can read to understand how that "infinite" source of energy works(nuclear)?
I thought that we only had the sun as the "infinite"(better termed: extremely vast) energy source.
I find it funny that 72 people agreed with @tuzmor yet the dislike # never when up. sound like people are just liking the first comment they see without thought.
@kmarchese04 I think it is a joke he says, PS: That's the best troll simulation I can come up with... he is just saying thats what those who are against TZM will say.
@tuzmor Well, the whole humankind is running out of resources. We are already 7 billion and we consume more natural resources per year than they replenish yearly. Couple of billion are poor and have not started consuming yet, plus we are going to get 2 billion more people by 2050.
Ugh.... I mean I understand the reason we talk about oil running out. But it's a lie. We are not. Even the oil companies say we are running out, but you never see oil go down in quantity, only go up in price. If you want examples, give me your email.
@tuzmor tou you must be really stupid writhing this....what god has offered you?what is he doing about people have nothing to eat?why people are dying in africa?what your nations is doing about wars?why all these diseases has no cure?etc
all these questions and no answer from your nation or your god!!!!
Come down man, tuzmor comment is self irony, best method to deal with trolls.
The best tool to talk with trolls is exaggerate their claims, confess everything that they say and make that in ironical fashion. Using such method, trolls lose their violence based weapons.
Use this method and you see how much is effective this method.
Dr Michio Kaku was explaining that as far as the scientific minds are concerned we are transitioning from a primitive fragmented society (class 0) to a global society (class 1). Its a very dangerous time to be, its also a unique time where we may finally grow up as a species and harness our potential. TZM is merely advocating that we embrace this, let go the old dogma's and dualities, and transcend as painlessly as possible. This global society wont happen under the market/monetary system.
I haven't heard anyone state how they expect the transition to a resource base system to come about. Any change in the distribution of resources is by definition political. Just saying it isn't doesn't make it so. Deciding the questions of who will be in charge of central planning and how it will be done are obviously political.
Getting people to accept and want a minamalist life style sounds like Orwellian doublespeak - "Less is More."
@FikTixious Its technical and the technicians are going to plan the most effective way to distribute resources thoughout the world. No ones in charge and this is the whole point. We need to start working together, this separateness (political ideals) has lead us to where we are right now. Materialistic life style will been seen as trivial childish nonsense so that will be less but the standard of living will increase drastically for everyone.
@FikTixious Is it political which type of surgeon it is that operate on your heart? Or your brain? Is it political if you go to the dentist or a mechanic to fix your car?
Also the transition IS happening as we speak, more and more people are being disenfranchised by this system and being left with nothing except each other, a system that actually requires these people to have money to consume! its not really a choice now, its really about when you wake up to reality.
Bad talking George Monbiot? Seriously? That he's following the ideological force behind the news? HA! Look to the anti-nuclear industry for that. Monbiot has argued consistently against the media consensus. Get your facts straight.
@zassounotsukushi Actually Monbiot moved into support for nuclear, citing reasons that there was a "lack of safe alternatives". An entirely astonishing thing to say considering the coming wave of cancer death and suppression of Geiger data. Also, I repeatedly call his work "important" and him "well read" - so I don't thing "Bad-talking" would be a correct assessment. I was focusing on his frame of reference for energy policy, being as it is, entirely not based on life-systems. Cheers - Ben
And you highlight Monbiot for advocating nuclear. Look, I love what he writes. But you are bad talking him indirectly. You're suggesting that he advocates nuclear based on money, unless he is a notable exception in the media, which you never gave any indication of.
@zassounotsukushi I see what's happening - the edit above has my point that journalists are informed by the current norms right next to my statement that some being paid directly for their supportive opinions. The statement Monbiot makes that there are no safe alternatives is drawn from the basic assumption that the world could never work together to solve the energy problem with the abundant (and increasingly cheaper kilowatt hours than oil/nuclear etc) alternatives. It is "unthinkable"
The video claims #2. The conclusion only works accepting #1 and #2, but let's look at what Monbiot said. Monbiot claimed #1 is false. I had taken a claim of the video to be that Monbiot was swayed by monied interests in claiming that. I think I am being corrected on that point. If you're calling him illogical, then do you mean to imply something? I thought he was well-read!
WAKE UP! Its not a nice world you are living in! And if you want the person to blame, you need only look in the mirror.
You let it go this way, you are the one who is still putting up with your goverments' grotescaries, corruption and malice!
So what do you do? Do you whine in front of the television on how bad things are? You could if you believe in magic... that things are magically going to change by themselves...
Great video, I look forward to this documentary. The end almost made me cry... The media outlets should have "good" news for a change, if not, ask why.
@tuzmor I bet you didn't watch but 30 seconds of this before you commented. I guess it is easier not to want to understand or to actually come up with a reasonable comment.
"Maybe we'll evolve to the point where fear is an experience. Its no longer instinctual, but rather an emotion we use, to enrich our understanding of why our human ancestors killed each other, when they could have loved each other.
One day we'll be holding hands instead of grudges, we'll eliminate our territorial circuits and know what love is."
Imagine a large piece of property owned by one person with an apple tree. Since he 'owns' the resources he has the ability to dictate what I do to survive(as long as I follow law) because he owns the land and the single source of food.Should I be grateful to him because he kicks me an apple here and there and lets me live in a shack on the edge of the property in return for building his mansion?Should I be grateful that some people have been able to take his position and therefore emulate?Fthat
I understand that explaining the whole idea of the inherent problems in our system and the symptoms it creates, and then providing the solutions can be a 4 hour lecture that I could give myself. But I enjoyed this video because of it's concise explanation of these factors.
Great brief explanation of a RBE. I am an activist for TVP and a member of TZM. I am for anyone who is for a RBE. I live in Florida, and have met Jacque and Roxanne. They are great people with great ideas and intentions. I am, of course, aware of the split since I heard the TS meeting. It was a shame, but again, there is more than one way to institute a RBE, and I am for anyone who advocates it.
People who think we can't change are deluding them selves. Change is a part of the human condition and is found throughout history. We will continue to change until we find an equilibrium amongst all people and our planet... ...or till we wipe ourselves out completely...
So all of you, who put effort into hindering TZM and change to fairness are fighting against humanity its self. You wish suffering upon your loved ones and ours.
And when we do make a change towards sanity I hope you get shamed.
Bravo lil' brother, Bravo. The very end w/t newspaper brougt tears to my own eyes. I have grandchildren now & between you and TZM/TVP/RBE i think i can leave this planet a little more relaxed for their future and all children o/t world. I'm so very proud of this generation i could do cartwheels. Boy, would that be a sight!!! Love to all of you - Mamma D "^_^"

The Venus Project is COMMUNISM 2.0.
No? Let's review. TVP calls for:
1) The elimination of private property.
2) The elimination of money.
3) Centralized control of everything.
4) Global sharing of everything.
5) The promise that all of life's problems will magically disappear.
Gee, where have I heard all of this before? PJ's final solution to all our problems is nothing more than a repackaged version of COMMUNISM.
So, if you support TVP, then you support COMMUNISM. Admit it. OWN IT.

@BRYAN351 1. Something being rendered obsolete isnt the same as eliminating it.
2.This is going to happen anyway, the fact is money is incapable of helping everyone and is only working for fewer and fewer people as time goes on.

If your belief is that of nature, then you are no atheist.
blackyblackblack505 4 months ago 3
@blackyblackblack505 How does believing in gravity and that people need food as nourishment to survive effect whether you believe in god or not?
Aldridge517 4 months ago
@Aldridge517 It is well known that in the field of philosophy, in order for something to exist it needs a beginning and an ending, the "God" has neither, therefore it doesn't exist.
Gravity keeps us leveled and the rest of nature gives us food, shelter and overall life. God gives us life? No, nature does.
blackyblackblack505 4 months ago 3
@blackyblackblack505 That doesn't answer my question. What you said (summarized) is that if you believe in nature than you are not an atheist (someone who doesn't believe in god). What your original post is saying is that if you believe in nature, than you believe in god. I asked you what nature had to do with someones beliefs in god and you went on to explain why god couldn't exist which is a contradiction to your original post.
Aldridge517 4 months ago
@Aldridge517 I guess faith is an abstract term in your mental dictionary. No one really knows anything, we only know what we're told. Empirical information can be made to look like anything, hence today's faith lies in one god instead of many. Whose to say that in 100 years from now it'll be different? Chances are you are human, a woman and a man created you and nature nurtures you.
blackyblackblack505 4 months ago 2
@blackyblackblack505 Ok, so now you're just rambling and avoiding the question all together. First you said if you believe in nature you're not an atheist, then you said god doesn't exist, now you're rambling about faith using fallible and ambiguous statements. I'm done talking to you because I can see this is going nowhere. For future reference stop trying to use big words and learn how to have a coherent conversation. Straight talk > Ambiguity
Aldridge517 4 months ago
@Aldridge517 Don't hate on my big words, o.k.? >Is that simple enough for you?

Atheism is a dangerous delusion. Know yourself. Your nature is always a duality; logical part and non logical part. Remember that, one always manifest itself in two.
Don't use smart phones or wireless internet. You are the smart one! All wireless devices are highly dangerous.
Science in the way its being conducted is not helping mankind at all, in fact is being orchestrated to enslave you.
Zeitgeist/Singularity, is the most dangerous state of mind that mankind has ever faced.

Nick Clegg was once against nuclear power, since being in government, he has drawn closer and closer to the idea.
This isn't because he's a lying politician like the rest, nuclear power is the only source of energy that isn't natural finite fuel AND is profitable.
SzlampStudios 4 months ago
@SzlampStudios I did not know that. Do you have any respectable articles I can read to understand how that "infinite" source of energy works(nuclear)?
I thought that we only had the sun as the "infinite"(better termed: extremely vast) energy source.

The best tool to talk with trolls is exaggerate their claims, confess everything that they say and make that in ironical fashion. Using such method, trolls lose their violence based weapons.
Use this method and you see how much is effective this method.

How about we start making the transition addressing the local issues and migrating the control to bigger systems?
omolivera 4 months ago

FikTixious 4 months ago
@FikTixious Its technical and the technicians are going to plan the most effective way to distribute resources thoughout the world. No ones in charge and this is the whole point. We need to start working together, this separateness (political ideals) has lead us to where we are right now. Materialistic life style will been seen as trivial childish nonsense so that will be less but the standard of living will increase drastically for everyone.
brightviolence 4 months ago

Get your facts straight.
zassounotsukushi 4 months ago
@zassounotsukushi Actually Monbiot moved into support for nuclear, citing reasons that there was a "lack of safe alternatives". An entirely astonishing thing to say considering the coming wave of cancer death and suppression of Geiger data. Also, I repeatedly call his work "important" and him "well read" - so I don't thing "Bad-talking" would be a correct assessment. I was focusing on his frame of reference for energy policy, being as it is, entirely not based on life-systems. Cheers - Ben
hypernation2007 4 months ago
@hypernation2007 16:53 I don't understand what you're saying. You say:
- The media are paid to uphold the status quo
- Nuclear is the status quo
And you highlight Monbiot for advocating nuclear. Look, I love what he writes. But you are bad talking him indirectly. You're suggesting that he advocates nuclear based on money, unless he is a notable exception in the media, which you never gave any indication of.
zassounotsukushi 4 months ago
@zassounotsukushi I see what's happening - the edit above has my point that journalists are informed by the current norms right next to my statement that some being paid directly for their supportive opinions. The statement Monbiot makes that there are no safe alternatives is drawn from the basic assumption that the world could never work together to solve the energy problem with the abundant (and increasingly cheaper kilowatt hours than oil/nuclear etc) alternatives. It is "unthinkable"
hypernation2007 4 months ago
@hypernation2007 Two claims:
1 There are safe alternatives
2 Any rate of nuclear accidents is unsustainable
The video claims #2. The conclusion only works accepting #1 and #2, but let's look at what Monbiot said. Monbiot claimed #1 is false. I had taken a claim of the video to be that Monbiot was swayed by monied interests in claiming that. I think I am being corrected on that point. If you're calling him illogical, then do you mean to imply something? I thought he was well-read!

Great brief explanation of a RBE. I am an activist for TVP and a member of TZM. I am for anyone who is for a RBE. I live in Florida, and have met Jacque and Roxanne.
