This was the match that made me finally realize that Bret was my hero and not Hulk Hogan. It is to the shame that Bret never got the match against his predecessor, which was something he deserved more than anyone. Had Bret Hart had the torched passed down through a match with Hogan, that would've been something Shawn Michaels could never have even dreamed of touching. The problem was that Bret was always fighting a heel, and his only face vs face matches were when he was already a legend.

I think it's really unfair to call this the worst Wrestlemania of all time. There was some good matches, and the event itself was strong. Although, I didn't like Hogan winning the title. Hitman is one of my favourites but I would have preferred him just losing to Yokozuna and Yoko holding the title.

that was never a plan. hogan was caught up in the steriod trials and was not around at the time. yokozuna was built up to be the mega heal and bret hart was set to be the hero to take him down. they had to throw hogan in the mix to satisfy the contract. there was never a plan for hogan vs hart. it had nothing to do with hogan not doing a job. if there was ever an issue about diong a job why would hogan chose to lose to the mega heel of the time?
