  • check out my channel please !

  • ...I hear a helicopter...

  • not that cool lol but i gues so whatever

  • really nice tutorial.well explained

  • amazing !!

  • nice feet :)

  • Your initial presentation is smooth -- it has the quality of a flourish, and the chicanery totally went past my trained eyes until about 10 viewings. The actual moves seemed too easy to work, though I needed nimble fingers to retain thumb break while swinging with the index. . Is this your own invention, and why "hexad"? I think a cut that can be done standing that retains top and bottom slugs is one worth knowing indeed-- now part of my repetoire! Thanks for generously sharing. Bravo.

  • Amazing tutorials! - by the way... what kind of Bicycle deck do you use?

  • @yaniktube I usually use the standard poker size ones. =)

  • khó quá

  • Thank you so much for your tutorials! You are so good at teaching!! I've learned so much from all of your tutorials! Again thank you (:

  • 1:25 that's what she said xD just kidding nice tutorial man :)

  • good but this cut will only let the top and bottom card(s) end up in the same place.. it'll mess up the middle part :S

  • @ElinaHuntOnPaks Yes, It's not a full deck retainment. Most of the time, top and bottom should be good enough. But of course, that depends on what trick you are doing too. :)

  • Nice tutorial man! I enjoy a lot of your videos. Great help for us just learning.

I also noticed that if one wanted to add a little flare to this.. The last packet is in a decent position to thumb fan, retracting it into the middle of the deck. Just a thought!

    Keep it up!

    Cheers!

  • Mmm・・・difficult!!

  • Just like that

  • THIS is the sort of false cut that should be used - give the slap/circle/swivle stuff a miss for something smooth and deceptive like this. "Cool cuts" seem to animate the minds of young magicians, who need to return to the Vernon principle. If it is unnecessarily complexified, drop it. If it doesn't look natural, forget it. In Albert's hands, this looks very fair, the magician has control, and the audience suspects nothing.

  • @winifredatwell those cuts you are referring to are called cardistry . It is a totally different genre of magic ...

  • @BelieveMagic101 Cardistry isn't magic. It's like a form of juggling. With cards.

  • @mofonofo Actually, "Cardistry" originally means "the magical artistry of playing cards", which means, it's the art of magic with playing cards.

Nowadays, we take it as "the artistry of playing cards". It means that Cardistry STILL INVOLVES in magic. It's just that many people use it as XCM - extreme card manipulation - which has nothing to go with magic and just simply manipulating playing cards.

Cardistry still involves in doing magic. Don't say it's not magic.

  • @winifredatwell It depends. If you're a Magician, and you're into magic, this cut would be perfect as a card control. However, IF you're not into magic, card flourish, or the old-fashion way, XCM is another thing.

XCM has nothing to do with magic. It's the art of manipulating cards by making it moving in very "cool" ways.and requiring a decent amount of dexterity, skill.

Just like what you would like to do with a pen. You can do magic with it, or, you can "spin" it.

    You do it your way.

  • this one can be used to control a bottom card to the top as well... simply get a thumb break under the bottom card and just do what you're suppose to... i can't believe you didn't even thought about this when i asked you, and you said this was your favorite cut too...

  • @CopyCat1995 I thought it was implied when I mentioned the double undercut :/ I meant it as any false cuts that could get the job done when I mentioned the double undercut because that is pretty much common sense for cardicians right? =)

  • @TricksterAP not if you don't know many false cuts... like i was...

  • @CopyCat1995 LMAO I apologize =D

Everyone starts out small. How long have you been doing magic for?

  • @TricksterAP only a year and a half, however, i do know( and can perform) lots of tricks, i simply don't know enough practical flourishes( like a false cut, i now know around 5 false cuts... 3 of which can only be used as false cuts). I've still got sooooo long to go *sigh*

  • @CopyCat1995 Hey, you only doing tricks for a year and a half is still pretty good at your level. You should actually be proud of yourself. Of course you have long ways to go since you just started xD Good luck!

  • @TricksterAP thanks a lot, you're one of the only guys who actually said that, the rest of them just say that i'm still very young and spit on me( well, metaphorically)

  • @CopyCat1995 Bleh! Screw those guys! What do they know right? =D

  • @TricksterAP technically, i think they know as much as you do... but sure, let's pretend they don't know anything :P

  • @CopyCat1995 LOL! That's the spirit xD

  • great false cut i learn it for 10mins

  • Great tutorial! This my favorite false cut that doesn't look like a flourish. Keep up the great work!

  • @MrRockmaster13 I've been at it for a total of around 5 years

  • you never dissapoint

  • I use a simpler varation in my performaces, a bit less flourishy (isn't flourishy at all but is my opinion) and works great. Thanks !!!

  • Nice!!

  • Very good, i added a little variation in my performances, i hope is not a problem, and in my future videos i will put credits to you :]

  • Love the cut.Like supremecardmonkey said, you can use it in a performance and it's not flourishy.Nice^^.

    Cris.

  • @BCardician Thanks =) I hope to see from you in the future as well. Your work got me excited xD

  • I like this because its less flourishy than other false cuts, so I could use it in magic performances ;)

  • I don't know if this is a bug, but I presses the 'like' button, and it disliked the vid, and then I pressed the 'dislike' button and it like the vid. That's wierd.

  • Great tutorial!! You could also control the card from the top to the bottom using this. As you break off the first packet and put it to the bottom, you push off the top card and get a pinky break under it so that you can get a thumb break below the card instead of above it. So the card would be on the bottom of the top pack instead of the top of the bottom pack, and you just go on from there.

  • @supremecardmonkey Yup, also works that way as well =)

  • @magiccardguy I'll see what I can do

  • @TricksterAP how long have u been doing magic for

    just curious

  • Thanks Man I knew you would help me. (:

  • @magiccardguy Yeah I do.

  • THX :D

  • @dannyhunter145 np =)
