first the pc's aren't powerful identical pc's

second 5400 rpm vs 7200 rpm you choose which is faster

2 gigs vs 1.5gigs

2.0 vs 2.1ghz, now i admit processor speed now contribute to boot up but it only contributes for like15%

ram 30%

graphics doesn't really matter

The vista boot screen is so boring, and the Windows 7 startup sound is idiotic. ever since XP, microsoft's screwed up on the startup. They really should change Windows 7's startup sound (as vista's already released and 7 can still be changed)

No- I meant that XP was good and all, but vista's startup screen was boring (just a bar showing it loadint vs. XP's which had a logo at least) and i was basing 7's startup sound off of Beta Build 7000. The RC (build 7100) has a much better startup sound.

that may be the max the operating system supports, however macs do have hardware limitations on ram, like the mac mini only supports around 3 1/2 GB of ram.

As for limitations, well mostly is the fact you cannot upgrade the hardware on most macs unless you send it to apple, and still there is things they cannot upgrade like the graphics card.

So if you are a gamer then get a PC, as it is good for gaming and average tasks.

But if you want to do more artistic tasks then get a mac.

i think XP and Vista wasnt ready to come out. because xp had all the new look and brought color to windows desktop, but it slowed the computer down allot, vista has the speed wich can handle the desktop which i think they put too much into but there are also allot of flaws. so i believe the past two windows opporating systems were not ready to come out.
