  • Man that boy preached this eulogy out.

  • CORRECTION to last statements:He says he knew God....the question is did God know him? (Depart from me I never knew you)John 17:3

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Did he have a relationship with the one who could save his soul from sin? If these false prophets continue lying to the people they will have hell to pay literally! Knowing God is not just a head knowledge it is a constant relationship with God through Jesus

  • He says he knew God....the question is did God know him? John 17:3

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. If these false prophets continue lying to the people they will have hell to pay literally! What do you say to the wife who knew her husband was sleeping around, and now it is public information, and it cost him his life. WHAT ABOUT HER SOUL?

  • Drop your stones.....

  • His theology is found wanting! It was sin...not a sickness! Unrepentant will keep you from having a relationship with God. Speaking on what this guy did is not casting a stone....casting a stone meant condemnation killing someone. If you speak the truth about a situation is not condemnation or killing....plus he is dead...all due respect! Jesus told his disciples to be perfect! Perfect means mature or complete not doing everything right! He just condoned the lifestyle of this man.

  • (part3) I believe he did what I'm talking about in his own way, but we must be careful that when the dead did a horrible act that played a role in their demise, that we don't seem like we are coming down on the world for having a reaction to sin. The same love and compassion used to speak of Mr. McNair and how to treat the situation should be the same compassion used to minister to the one's with the stones. Just my few cents and personal feelings doesn't mean they're the rule.

  • (Part2) Don't get me wrong, Im not condeming the preacher either. I just think his objective was 2help the family & as bad as some of our loved ones are we would be mad if a preacher got up & bashed them. At the same token if a lesson from the Good or the Bad in thier lives can be used, I would not want it looked over but given in a respectful way that does not uphold sin but rather points to the father and the need for us all to be able to love forgive and get our lives right w/God.

  • I would have liked 2hear & expected, as a Christian, the man of God to say I condemn or do not condone adultery or sin. I believe a eulogy is intended to bring healing to the hearts and minds of loved ones. Because of the controversy of his death, there are those who would have accepted the approach or at least a mention that sin is wrong yet don't condemn the MAN but rather "drop your stone" for we ALL are not without sin. I think it wouldve given more PEACE to Mechelle the Kids & America

  • To those who are inspired by the eulogy to "look to the hills," and to abstain from sin - I encourage you to do that. If someone sends you a negative comment about the pastor, either ignore that religious demon or cast it out in Jesus' name. Don't allow seeds of discord in your life & keep your mouth off pastors if you don't pray the anointing on their life...otherwise, it's just call preying. Have a great day everyone (I mean it).

  • Jesus said he come for the sick for they are the ones who need a doctor......For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.... beware of prosperity preachers ,new age churches make you feel good church.. well i have enjoyed this my bro. and sis. in CHRIST !!! good ole bible study

  • Not taking sides just speaking the truth. We dont have a heaven or a hell to put him in. There is no condemnation for any man that is in CHRIST JESUS. He will answer for those sins at judgement, like all of us. We are not to live in sin, nor practice in it. Some sins have built in judgements. God callin Steve may have been his. But i dont know i wanna try and play GOD for HIS thoughts or not my thoughts and HIS ways are not my ways. Yall know the rest you all seem to be bible scholars

  • I feel ya, doc. I was thinking - what if dude (Steve) was there telling the chic he's "sorry" & couldn't cheat anymore because of conviction & that he's responsible for his fam? It could've pushed her to crazy mode & been the reason Steve was killed. No one will ever know.....

  • *where

  • Once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, our sins have been FORGIVEN ! We have been redeemed. Our sin debt was paid in full. If it wasnt JESUS death was in vain. The point im making is if Steve "truely" accept Jesus as his personal saviour then he is saved...Yes we are suppose to repent of all your sins. Also die to our flesh daily.GODs' grace is sufficient and his mercy endures "forever" If not Jesus would have to keep dying on the cross.... We cant say we his soul is resting

  • For those who disrespect the bishop for "compromising," if God called YOU to preach the gospel, go to school, get training, get degree & open your church. Otherwise U just sound like a Pharisee or a "sad, you see." BTW, he had a duty to comfort & minister to the fam. Even the HOLY SPIRIT is a "perfect gentleman." Where is ur humility? Lord, have mercy on those filled with hate.

  • But that's besides the point. Most of the apostles did not do that, so what is your point? The word says, study to show yourselves approved a worker needing not to be ashamed, but RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. This jackleg did not do that. He purposely compromised because he did not want to go down in history as being unpopular. Plan and simple! I am humble, but turning a blind eye does not equate to being humble or meek, it's called NEGLIGENCE...

  • u look like aretha franklin. im sure u have gotten that compliment b4

  • lol. Naw, I haven't gotten Aretha Franklin, but I have gotten, Gladys Knight, Keisha Shanien Williams (Laura Winslow from Family Matters), and Dawn Lewis. Oh yeah, someone actually told me I favor Sanna Lathan, lol. I have always been told I look like a celebrity.

Thank you for the compliment. It would be nice to have Aretha's voice! lol.

  • im sorry, but u do not look like aretha, i seen her on tmz yesterday, and she need a major breast reduction asap, and she look like she goin thru some thangs. my apologies

  • It's all good. It's the thought that counts. I will say, I have always been fond of her eyes. I still think she has pretty eyes. The way they are shaped.

    Peace

  • u got to remember, its hard to do sumones memorial especially when they died tha way mcnair did. and tha preacher has to do a eulogy. its very hard. let me see one of u bloggers do a eulogy. like tha bishop said he is stuck in between a place and a hard rock on wat to talk about. be more considerate and once again. DROP YOUR STONE

  • It was not about the preacher, it was about McNair and the reality is McNair needed to repent. It was also about encouraging those who survied McNair. What better way to encourage someone in a grieveous situation like that than to share the good news that salvation awaits those who are dead in their sins. Hope is over for McNair, but not those who still live today, but are dead in their sins. As long as you are breathing, their is still hope, but once you die, that's it.

  • da hood love me like Grape Kool-aid

  • lol, cute.

  • Behold, 2day is the day of salvation. Believe, repent (i.e. turn away from sin), and be saved.

  • You have to really know understand how & why preachers like this say what they say. Listen to the words & body movement the display. Compromise makes many feel comfortable in what they do. If he compromises the gospel of Christ & gets the listeners to compromise. Everyone is satisfied. He keeps a pack church & offering plates filled. While many continue to live a life of sin without consequences. The reality is hell is not for everyone but is for someone. Don't let it be you! Flee falsehood.

  • This "Bishop" is a failure to the church & sinners abroad. The reality is Steve McNair no matter how much the athlete, philantropist, father he was in time. Sadly he is on his way to a burning hell. He died a unrepented sinner killed in his sleep. If the serial adulteror, lier, thief, hater, homosexual etc can make it in to heaven. Bishop WHY DO YOU PREACH? We might as well as close all the church doors live a life of total depravity & debauchery. Most preachers are a cancer in the church today.

  • for those who can't stand "sell-out preachers," please start the video at 2:22. The pastor clearly reminds us of the woman caught in adultery just like McNair. WHAT did Jesus say to the adulterer & what did he say to the accusers? (Please remember that before you judge this pastor or McNair)

  • If you listen to his entire message, "Bishop" Walker clearly condones sin. Period! Walker is a disgrace to my hometown and to the PURE GOSPEL. A better message would have been to preach Jesus and Him crucified on the Cross for the sins of His children. One cannot escape the Bible, which clearly states that adulterers will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. I guess people tear that portion of the scriptures out of their Bibles. When will the true Church wake up? Jesus Christ is coming back!!!

  • well i have read both sides of the arguement and both sides have good points made. Its seems 2 me as Children of GOD correct each other out of brotherly luv. If its not done out of luv it causes divisions in the Body. Thats 1 of the things Paul was writing about. Thats why we have so many different denominations now. That is one of satan tactics is 2 keep the body of Christ, from being on one accord. While we sitting up here arguing .ppl are steady dying an we the CHURCH will be held accoutable

  • everyone is with out any faults, and so holy.. ok what ever!

  • This is a straight up inclusions, "seeker sensitive message. Anytime someone attempts to omit the reality that sin is present in the life of the unredeemed, which according to McNair's actions asserts the fact that he was not redeemed, the Gospel ceases to be the gospel.

This message is saturated with a bunch of church clichés. People betta recognize, clichés are sending millions of people to hell in a hand basket...

  • People, whether they wear a clerical collar or not, who accuse those of us who R redeemed, living righteously, and therefore denounce sin in our lives as well as the practice of sin, as hypocrites, they R nothing more than revilers of righteousness. Yes, there is such a thing as the sanctimonious person who sin like Satan and then tries to check someone else, but what does that have to do with Mr. McNair? Steve McNair died in his sins. Period! I can't stand jelly-back sell-out preachers...

  • I can't stand them either. Good remarks!

  • Thank you!

  • he didnt omit tha sin, if u were u listening, sickness doesnt disqualify us from making it to heaven, steve mcnairs sickness was clearly adultery, but God still loves him and all of us. DROP YOUR STONE

  • Sickness and sin are two different things. Sickness will not keep you from getting to heaven. However the Bible clearly states that SIN separates us from God. Romans 6:23.

  • I listened very clearly. Using the word, "sickness" as a euphemism for sin, is NOT a good thing. Why? A sickness can't send you to hell, but sin can. The wages of sin is death. Helloooo, adultery is not a sickness, it is a sin. See, what this idiot preacher is doing is no different from what the pharmaceutical companies and mental health experts are doing in telling people not to deal with their problems, but to medicate them.

  • They blame deviant behaviors on hormonal imbalances rather than holding the patient accountable. Now McNair was no patient, but was a sinner for sure who died in his sin because of his sin—the wages of sin is death. No preacher should skirt around that in order to stay popular. The mental health experts and pharmacist play the misplace blame game in order to make money; this pastor did it for fame and fortune— utterly repugnant!

  • In addition, Lilbam19,

    UTYPED: "DROP YOUR STONE

Since when does telling the truth mean hypocrisy? WHY ARE YOU SO CALLED CHRISTIANS SO HOSTILE TOWARDS THOSE WHO TELL THE TRUTH AND STAND FOR HOLINESS AND TRUTH? After all, those ARE attributes of Christ 9holiness and truth).

  • once again im not denying tha sin, mcnair was clearly wrong. but it doesnt diqualify him. now God did punish by taking him away from his family. but he is still a child of God. im from nashville. i was there at tha church and steve mcnair did so much in our community, more than any other athlete in tha world. changed so many lives, people were guna get evicted from homes and steve let his checkbook do tha talking. he helped Gods people, and steve will be takin care. R.I.P STEVE

  • The Lord's justice is not the same as man's justice. We are incapable of making righteous sanctified judgments apart from Christ. God does not function on a brownie points system. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Jesus said except a man be born again can he enter heaven. We have to be sanctified; this is not about whose good enough to go to heaven, but about righteousness.

  • Only Christ can sanctify the sinner and change him from sinner to saint. Contrary to popular belief, the word saint does not mean perfect, but it means one who has been sanctified. To be sanctified is to be reconciled with God (thru the Holy Spirit) and therefore made clean. Unfortunately for McNair, he was not sanctified at the time of his death and has painful as it is to come to terms with, his soul is in hell because he did not believe on the son.

  • i wanna kno are u righteous, and are u sanctified. u talk very candidly about the Lord. and i kno steve died in his sin, but how are u so sure that he is in hell

  • According to the work of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I am count as one who is righteous and sanctified. However, the righteousness I now have is not my own, but the Lord's. It's been imputed to me. It's as though Christ took my place on the cross because I was born a sinner and justly, I should have been put to death for the sin that was in my heart even from birth, but the death Christ died, He died to sin on my behalf. I know McNair went to hell because he was not redeemed, sad, but true.

  • Lilbam19,

    one last thing,

To believe in Christ is to live for him not ones self and certainly not sin

  • Quthentic76 I hate to name call but you are an idiot.... This preacher gave a beautfiul sermon... We are all sinners including you my friend.... You can preach from many different angles regaurding the bible.. and for the particular situation The bishop was right on... Mcnair did a lot of good.... yes he was imperfect but arent we all...... you shoud ask the lord for forgiveness for being such an judgemental idiot!

  • The red letters are always the best, lol.

  • I dare people to start reading their Bible. You'd be surprised that your favorite pastor, teacher, or bishop is teaching that which does not align with the Word of God.

I'm not here to judge anyone, that position belongs to God and Him alone. (Leviticus 19:15) However, God declares that His true Children have wisdom, judge with righteous judgment (John 7:24), and discernment for the truth. No true believer in Jesus Christ would be listening to Walker. He is a disgrace to the REAL GOSPEL!!!

  • Yup, if this preacher knew his bible then he would preach the words of peter, 1Peter 4:15-17

15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

  • Ok Rev. Walker, then how about the next time a man rapes a child or robs a bank, then we should "drop our stones" right? This preacher is preaching out of his neck. It saddens me that a supposed minister neglects the reality of the moment so he can tickle some ears. This is a classic case of preaching the Word deceitfully. There should be a lesson learned from this tragedy. We should take heed for we must give an account one day before Him.

  • A wicked world says you can live any way you want to and God is okay with that. Gal. 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap". But the bible says that "they shall turn from believing the truth, and shall be turned to fables." what he should have told those in attendance: REPEANT, BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME FOR THE REMISSION OF SIN AND YE SHALL RECEIVED THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST (Acts 2:38) Jesus is the WAY, TRUTH and the life. Choose JESUS.

  • The bible says that in the last days, people will want their ears tickled. Meaning they'll want to hear what's going to make them feel good instead of the truth. No one is w/o sin, but we have the Word of God that points us to the way of redemption through Christ. He washes aways our sins but he doesn't condone them.

  • amen!!

  • Thank you. Jesus told people about their sins and offered salvation. He told the woman taken in adultery to, "go and sin no more." He wasn't out to gloss over sin. He cared about their souls instead of trying to make people feel good.

  • No. People wanna hide their heads in the sand probably because they are guilty of it themselve. We live in a society that when you call evil by its name, people wanna get all indignate and call you judgemental. Some people like iluvmytt don't get it. They wanna defend evil and not call it out. If you love someone, you will be honest with them.

  • Janissi42, you are 100% right. People are reluctant to stand up against sin unless you are "killing dogs". This is the hypocrisy of it all though. They say that we shouldn't judge, because no one is perfect, yet when Mike Vick was convicted of dog fighting, people DID judge!! The problem is that we pick and choose what sins are acceptable and are not. And because of that, most of the general public aren't as tolerant as they claim to be.

  • Authentic76, you're so right. people judge all the time. They pick and choose which sins they decide to overlook, especially if the party is a celebrity or athlete. Imagine a world without law and order.

  • krigby18,

You are right. The "Bishop" should have been speaking the truth...the truth about a Jesus who can save our souls from damnation. Some people choose to only listen to what they desire to listen to. Let each of us who has ears hear the true Word of God, which is able to save our very souls from sin and its affect on our souls.

I pray for the so-called professing Christians today and the state of the Americanized church. Jesus is coming back very soon for His True Church...

  • I bear witness that you speak the truth. I can't see how a person who is diligently studying the scriptures, would embrace such words from this preacher considering the circumstances. Surely, God is a God of mercy and patience, but He shall not be mocked. And professing believers should know better than this mess.

  • authentic76,

This "bishop" got what he wanted...his 2 hours of fame and tv exposure. The Apostle Paul said it best in Galatians 1:9 "As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED."

To stand up in front of this man's wife and declare that Steve McNair "knew God" based on a phone call is a complete joke. The Bible states that we will know them (God's true Children) by their FRUIT. Matt 7:16-20; John 15:2-8.

  • Good Job, Bishop!!! The people on here that is talking negatively is missing the whole message. I dont think a message could have been done better in this time. I hope the individuals that are judging are perfect.. Because it maybe you, or your child, one day, that will need people to drop their stones for them!!! Thank you for the word and the message..

  • The sickness that he is talking about is sin.. Dummy!!!1

  • LOL@"If you find the perfect church, please don't join it because you gonna mess it up"

Steve McNair was a great football player, but he was a mortal man with flaws like the rest of us. It is not my place to judge him, nor is it any other person's place. It is God's place.

I feel bad for his wife and kids and the loss they've been dealt at the same time they've been dealt a huge humiliation.

  • so what that dude wasnt wrong? come on it is what it is...

  • Michelle and the children need our prayers.

  • Actually, the church is suppose to be a place where people hear sound doctrine, not something that will only tickle their ears and make them feel good. The Americanized Church is in bad shape because of so-called bishops and preachers who choose not to preach sound doctrine. Instead of the church being Christ-LIKE, it is Christ-LIGHT.

  • THANK YOU!!!! You know what? I just said the same thing in response to one of your posts. Hallejulah, someone's speaking the truth up in here.

  • Bishop Walker, it's not called a "sickness". It's called SIN.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Sin SEPARATES us from God.

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

No one is throwing any stones here...just speaking the truth, which is what God calls us all to do (Ephesians 4:15). When will the church wake up?

  • so true.. we must call sin what it is.

  • Are you serious..? In the bible , God talks about how we should not judge but that is all you do.. He is using sickness in the context of hospital.. DUH. Did you not get it... Listen again if not. This is a man of God that is drawing people near to Christ..

  • iluvmytt,

John 7:24: Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment

Galatians 5:16 - "Walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh"

Listen, I didn't write the Bible, so don't say that I'm here along with others judging this man because we are not. Stop being blind and open your eyes. I'm sick of religious people who have no knowledge of scripture, use scripture out of context. It is up to us to READ the Word of God for ourselves, lest we fall into sin.

  • PREACH!!!

  • Thank you for explaining this. People misquote this scripture all the time. If a person was beating their child and they knew about it, wouldn't they call them a bad parent or wrong for beating their child? Is that judging? If someone is a murderer, rapist, or liar. and you call them wrong, is that judging? I get so sick and tired of people who also say, "don't judge." They have no clue what it even means.

  • America needs to hear that adultery is WRONG and that a man is to "love his wife like Christ loved the church and gave himself for it." Mistake? I think not. A mistake is running over my child's bike with my car. If Mr. McNair wasn't a baller or, I'm sure a hefty contributor to the churches tithing fund, everyone wouldn't be preaching that, "drop the stone" mess. That's right, drop what stone? I wager ti bet that the amen choir are coming from MEN.

    Now THAT is real talk.

  • Excuse me. The bible talks about how there is no sin that is greater than another sin. You judging him is a sin.. And in God's eye just as bad as what McNair did. God Bless you McNair.. Only God is judging you now.. !!!

  • No excuse me. How am I judging him? Please do tell. Calling a spade a spade is not judging. Is it not ADULTERY? If you knew your Bible, you would know that the Bible states that there are sins that there sins that are an ABOMNATION to the Lord, so please spare me with the "no sin greater than the next." Sorry I don't hold your king to such high standards, and I wager to bet if he wasn't a well-loved and reveared athlete, you'd be calling him an adulterer too. Tell that to his wife and kids.

  • Excuse the typos.

  • America needs to hear this Eulogy! Drop Your Stone!

  • DROP IT! Preach, Bishop...R.I.P. Steve. Thank you for your contribution to football, the Gulf Coast and so many other causes. You are loved and missed.

  • DROP YOUR STONE!!! REAL TALK!!!

  • well....weEL...WELL!

  • 3:00 - I understand what you're saying, Bishop. However, you forgot the rest of the account, where Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, "Go and sin no more".

Unfortunately, it's may have been to late for Steve to heed that message. God only knows, of course...

  • Comment removed

  • Drop your stone, NYTNinAmerica --

  • What "stone"?

  • True, however the context of the scripture that he was refurring to was the mass of people that showed up to see what Jesus would say. So it was His response to the people that he is demonstrating, not the woman.

  • wat do u mean

  • Amen brother Bishop! Amen! Thanks you for indicting all those would be stone throwers and reminding us all to judge not because none of us are without sin!

  • wow.

  • He tore that eulogy up......PREACHHHHH.

    Drop Ya STONE!!!!!!!!!
