That's true, the first iPhone didn't have many apps, but if we're comparing this first tablet from RIM with the 2007 iPhone then RIM is is trouble. Right now you have $560 in your pocket and you have to take a decision, not between the Playbook and iPhone 1st generation, but between Playbook and iPad2 with all its apps.

What a waste of engineering resources. Who in their right mind will by that? If it were $99 I still wouldn't buy it.

Of course the PlayBook has holes. It's not even released yet. The first iPhone wasn't loaded either.
