I think it happens a lot to children/young people that become famous because they are thrown into a very adult world, without any/much preparation and oftentimes without a proper support system. Drugs are rife in the entertainment industry. A kid without proper guidance can fall headlong into a bottomless pit. Some make it out. Some don't.

When you're lost in the swirl of drug addiction/abuse, you don't see that you're killing yourself. You just need that next fix so u can get right.
