@DGrabowski100 Sometimes handgaurds just are so there really isn't that much you can do to correct it short of sticking something in around them to shim them together. Depending on the rifle, if it has a two piece barrel you can try loosening the set screws which hold the barrel in place and push the barrel in a little further to make the handguards fit tighter.
I have an m16 and it is an a1 but I don't think that will matter.
On the front of the gun the pin that you put in to make sure the barrel and top of the gun and rail doesn't slide off, will easily pop out when fired and even held

@pantolamon try redoing your process many blowback aeg's are based upon a pneumatic blowbacksystem which uses forced air. Im guessing that when you put the top reciever back onto the bottom the charging handle popped out of place, also your top recieve is most likely been put on wrong, thus preventing your bolt to slide forward.

@presidentdoobie If I remember correctly that rifle is not TM spec and does not come apart the same way. I'm pretty sure the body is held together with screws so you would not be able to field strip it. Sorry, we don't carry that rifle so I really can't but of much help.

its the motor height, take a flat head screw driver and adjust the motor height be turning the screw below your motor grip until your m4 makes the correct sound.
I took mine apart and cleaned it out and now it wont even fire with a fully charged battery and a full magazine...it doesnt even make a noise when I pull the trigger...Can someone please help I just bought this gun and I can't return it...thanks

@ch606 yes but I solved the problem the fuse box got didsconted and its fine now but it still shoots a little left when I fire semi auto and when I fire fully auto it shoots perfectly straight...any one no why?

@thewulf7 If you just hear the jolt of the gears trying to move but can't, plus it smells like the wires are heating up, you probably have a short somewhere in the wiring. In which case you'd probably want to take it someplace to have it checked out because trying to locate a short can be a bit of a pain most of the time.

@mrecholizard No. A rifle with a one piece hop-up does not fold open. The upper receiver slides forwards off lower half after removing the forward body pin. Since your rifle is front wired, you would have to disconnect the wiring harness first and carefully fish the wires through the hole as you pull the upper receiver off.
I'm planning to get myself an M16A4 '09 Version by JG. But since there were many complaints about a wobbling barrel after some time, Im still hesitating to buy it.
So my question is wether i can use this principal to tighten the barrel by using the skrewdriver and the hammer to fixe the wobbling on the JG M16A4 aswell?
@Fuzzygamesproduction I believe those might be the CA design where the upper and lower receviers slide apart instead of folding open like the TM design. We've never carried those so I really can't say for sure.

@tiger7191 The rifle used in the video has an ABS body although a lot of the other parts are metal such as the barrel, sight and buffer tube. The ECHO 1 rifles are all really nice guns for the price.
If you have an M4A1 that has the battery in the stock, you need to shine a flashlight down the buffer tube to locate the screw. Mine needed a normal star-head, and my gun is all repaired. Thanks shortyusa!

@0mgwtfbbq21 The G&P models use a different body design and do not hing in the middle. They slide apart like a Classic Army. You would need to take out the front pin and then slowly slide the upper receiver forward. If your rifle is wired to the front you will have to disconnect the wiring harness. After the upper receiver has moved forward an inch or so you will probably need to lift up on the charging handle to clear the bump on the top of the gearbox.

@halofanaticboy The full stock allows you to use larger batteries. If you changed it to have an M4 type retractable stock you would have to modify the wiring harness and use a special small battery which goes in the buffer tube.

@tacosRme Well ICS model hop up's are easily accessible (pull back the charging handle, hop up wheel revealed), and should only take you three or four minutes to adjust the hop up to your requirements.

Well, without the flashhider, with an Reflex Red Dot sight (14 dollars, yay, works well) Larger magazine and battery, better stock (Lighter, looks cooler, metallic.) vertical combat grip, flashlight and a lasersight. So thanks, now my M4 looks even cooler.
Hi Shorty USA, I am cleaning my first Airsoft AEG. So I take my lube, and spray a little bit into my gun through the mag well to clean the Hop-up. I then take a Coat Hanger, (I have lost my rod and read that this will work also), and put some cloth on the coat hanger, oiled the cloth, and pushed it up and down the barrel a couple times. (It was kind of a tight fit) It is done, I shoot it, and it jams two times. Is this just the oil settling, and is this regular, or did I do something wrong?

@thegalacticfilms Hmm, well a coat hanger isn't exactly what you should be using. It probably isn't perfectly straight and the ends can be sharp so it could damage the inside of the barrel / hop-up. You could try backing the hop-up all of the way down and running a mag or two through it to see if it straightens out but if not it sounds like you might have ripped your bucking.
@shortyusa Ya, I started shooting a couple hundred of BB's and after a few more jams, it seems to run smoothly. It was weird though, I looked inside the barrel and it was so clean I could see only see reflections inside the barrel. Maybe it was just a bit to much oil, and it clogged up for a bit. Thanks.

when you described how to clean your inner barrel, can that work to access the gearbox and spring as well? I've been looking into swapping out my spring for a more powerful one.
@PivotStudiosXE No, in order to work on the gearbox you have to take the gun mostly apart which isn't nearly as easy as taking the barrel out. However, ICS brand M4's have a split level gearbox which allows you to slide out the cylinder/piston assembly just like the barrel so you can swap out springs easier.
My barrel twists side to side quite a bit and if you look down the magwell you can see the hop up twist with it. Will following the directions in the video fix this problem?
my guns fuse and motor connections are fine but when i fire, nothing comes out and it makes a high pitched sqealing noise or no sound at all. I've tried adjusting the motor height but can't get it to the right sound. Any help?
how would you recommend fixing the barrel if i can twist it at about 90 degrees left and right? I checked both the delta ring and the screws for the barrel inside the hand guard, but there were no screws like you showed at 1:50 in the video, but it looked like it was welded to the outer barrel. Oh yes, my outer barrel can be completely detached from the area that you showed has screws. Any recommendation?
hey my gun has a minor problem it's a classic army m15a4 ris and the handguards are supposed to easily slide on but on one side of the rail the handguard falls off... it's not the handguard it's the rail
I think you might be thinking of the plastic rail cover which slides over the mounting rail. At one end of the cover you will see a metal clip. Flip the cover over and on the underside bend in the two ends of the clip only slightly. That should keep it locked in place.

i have a kwa m4a1. i cant seem to tighten my barrel like you do here. there is a chrome bar under my hand gaurds that doesn't enable me to tighten the nut. is there a special way to tighten the kwa's external barrel?
hey shorty well i got my jg m4 s-system a long time ago and i wanted to clean my barrel, so then i took the lower and upper reciever aprt and i took out those two pins u were toalkin about, well now i cant get my pins to get in the lower reciever what should i do?(im a noob to airsoft)
If you took out both of the body pins you'll want to put the front one back in first. You just have to make sure you are holding the two halves so that the holes line up. Then push push it through. Once the front one is in the rear holes will line up too.
Thanks its not that bad just wondering if there was a way to tighten it. Nothing really noticable

Why are my battery wires in the stock? And I have a JG SR16-M4, so it is an M16 stock. Can I still fit the battery with an M4 Retractable Stock?

@halofanaticboy The full stock allows you to use larger batteries. If you changed it to have an M4 type retractable stock you would have to modify the wiring harness and use a special small battery which goes in the buffer tube.

@tacosRme Well ICS model hop up's are easily accessible (pull back the charging handle, hop up wheel revealed), and should only take you three or four minutes to adjust the hop up to your requirements.

I have the same gun. Did this, and thank you! Also watched how to remove the flash hider. Thanks for that too! And i hired this dude, on the shop, to paint a Winter Camo for 20 euros. Well, without the flashhider, with an Reflex Red Dot sight (14 dollars, yay, works well) Larger magazine and battery, better stock (Lighter, looks cooler, metallic.) vertical combat grip, flashlight and a lasersight. So thanks, now my M4 looks even cooler.

Hi Shorty USA, I am cleaning my first Airsoft AEG. So I take my lube, and spray a little bit into my gun through the mag well to clean the Hop-up. I then take a Coat Hanger, (I have lost my rod and read that this will work also), and put some cloth on the coat hanger, oiled the cloth, and pushed it up and down the barrel a couple times. (It was kind of a tight fit) It is done, I shoot it, and it jams two times. Is this just the oil settling, and is this regular, or did I do something wrong?

@thegalacticfilms Hmm, well a coat hanger isn't exactly what you should be using. It probably isn't perfectly straight and the ends can be sharp so it could damage the inside of the barrel / hop-up. You could try backing the hop-up all of the way down and running a mag or two through it to see if it straightens out but if not it sounds like you might have ripped your bucking.

@shortyusa Ya, I started shooting a couple hundred of BB's and after a few more jams, it seems to run smoothly. It was weird though, I looked inside the barrel and it was so clean I could see only see reflections inside the barrel. Maybe it was just a bit to much oil, and it clogged up for a bit. Thanks.

when you described how to clean your inner barrel, can that work to access the gearbox and spring as well? I've been looking into swapping out my spring for a more powerful one.

@PivotStudiosXE No, in order to work on the gearbox you have to take the gun mostly apart which isn't nearly as easy as taking the barrel out. However, ICS brand M4's have a split level gearbox which allows you to slide out the cylinder/piston assembly just like the barrel so you can swap out springs easier.

My barrel twists side to side quite a bit and if you look down the magwell you can see the hop up twist with it. Will following the directions in the video fix this problem?

@JasonChan2008 If the barrel twists side to side (rotates) then you probably need to tighten the hex screws at the base of the barrel.

my guns fuse and motor connections are fine but when i fire, nothing comes out and it makes a high pitched sqealing noise or no sound at all. I've tried adjusting the motor height but can't get it to the right sound. Any help?

how would you recommend fixing the barrel if i can twist it at about 90 degrees left and right? I checked both the delta ring and the screws for the barrel inside the hand guard, but there were no screws like you showed at 1:50 in the video, but it looked like it was welded to the outer barrel. Oh yes, my outer barrel can be completely detached from the area that you showed has screws. Any recommendation?

hey my gun has a minor problem it's a classic army m15a4 ris and the handguards are supposed to easily slide on but on one side of the rail the handguard falls off... it's not the handguard it's the rail

I think you might be thinking of the plastic rail cover which slides over the mounting rail. At one end of the cover you will see a metal clip. Flip the cover over and on the underside bend in the two ends of the clip only slightly. That should keep it locked in place.

If you took out both of the body pins you'll want to put the front one back in first. You just have to make sure you are holding the two halves so that the holes line up. Then push push it through. Once the front one is in the rear holes will line up too.
