  • Maybe you could help me understand something. I've looked at both Flowmaster American thunder exhaust system and Borla Loudmouths and in my opinion, the American Thunder sounds so much more like and Aggressive tone whereas the loudmouth is just incredibly loud. But it seems everyone prefers putting the loudmouth on their Trans Am. Is there any specific reason for that? Help me out here. :S

  • @Unleeshd I liked both systems. My first Trans Am (2000 WS6) had a Flowmaster system on it and my current one did have the Borla on it when I shot these videos. I have since put a Magnaflow Cat-Back on it with a Dynomax Bullet right before the axle just to tone it done a little. On the Dyno I've heard the Borla puts better numbers than the Flowmaster, but i didn't like how loud it was. I'm Air Force and I have to leave for work sometimes at 4am. My neighbors HATED it.

  • @2000TA this is america, and that is your car! keep what you like if thats what makes YOU happy.

  • @2000TA this is america, and that is your car, keep what you like if thats what makes YOU happy. my neighbors hate my cobra but its my car, and my hobby, they cant take that from me.

  • @laptoph4x Thank you!! It's good to hear that i'm not the only one that thinks that way. I don't say anything to them about their hobbies or their foreign piles of junk, so leave my baby alone!

  • @2000TA I bet haha.

  • Numbers!!!

  • @halston665 No numbers yet. I don't trust the stock rearend on a dyno. According to Texas Speed, guys with the same set up I have turn between 440-460rwhp.

  • Sick car man. Love the MS3 and MS4 cam.

  • Will this cam work with the 7.400 pushrods?

  • @2jzsupra1 No, they told me to use the 7.375's. I got them from Texas Speed for pretty cheap and they work great. I ordered the 7.400's by mistake and had to return them.

  • Hey man, im doing almost the same cam, the tsunami TSP, .647 int .609 exh 237/242 .050 with the stage 2.5 heads. only thing i see different on your build is the GOLD dual springs, what is the comression rate on them? i have the dual titaniums and they are rated to .650 and its worrying me. i read that golds were the same though.

also streetability, i want to DD it but if it gets less than 10mpg in the city then it might hurt.

any suggestions since you have done your build?

  • @02TransAmKid09 I don't remember what they are rated at, but they are the ones that Texas Speed told me to run. I've had them on my car for over a year now and it's a daily driver, no problems. I don't get the best milage but i knew it wasn't the going to be the best when i built it.

  • @2000TA can be a good cam with the right heads...cam is to big for a daily driver..to eacb his own though...22mpg ouch got 27mpg with the si5, nice car and 5stars for using nice wheels that arnt tt2s lol

  • is it a very choppy cam? Sorry to ask but sometimes it sounds different when your in person. my car on video sounds kinda choppy but in reality i dont think it is. thanks

  • @albert12able Yes, it is a pretty choppy cam. It's a 649 lift @ 111 LSA.

  • @2000TA Nice car, sounds great! When someone mentions choppyness of a cam, give the the duration and lsa because lift has very little to do with choppyness. No offense, It just bugs me a bit when someone describes the chop of their cam by it's lift and not duration and LSA. I'm sure you know the difference though.

  • @The1ns1ght Sorry, it's a .050

  • @The1ns1ght All they would need is LSA then.

  • Oh nice, I'm liking the shaved side mouldings too.

  • whats the 1/4 time on this car.how much hp? Im trying to decide between the ms4 cam and the v3 but leaning more toward the ms4. hows the rearend holding up if u still have the stock 1

  • @3dcustoms1

I haven't had it down the track yet due to the fact that it's my daily driver and can't afford to have something break on it at the track. I also haven't dyno'd it yet, but everyone at Texas Speed i talked to said that with my set-up, it should be between 440-460 rwhp. It sure does feel like it!! I do have the original rearend in it and it has 110,000 miles on it. In the next couple weeks i'm tearing the rear apart to do new bearings and seals, but it's holding up pretty good.

  • @2000TA whats the lsa of your cam?

  • @TheSScobalt06 The cam specs are 239/242 .649/.609 @ 111lsa. It's a great cam!!! Anyone that says that it's not a good street cam is wrong. I've driven this from DC to St Louis a couple times and once from DC to Nashville while still getting 22mpg. I love it!!!!

  • Hey man you think you will be selling this this summer? Pm me. I really like it. And im in illinois too

  • @A4Eaton

No, I'm not planning on selling it at all. I actually have plans for an F-1R Procharged motor for it. But thanks for the comment!!!

  • @2000TA oh damn! I'm thinkin about doing that to my t/a too. I have about 550 right now i think :)

  • What the back spacing on those 17x11 rims

  • @WarriorLakota

I'm not really sure. I ordered them from Group-A wheels in Arizona a few years ago when i was stationed there and they did all the measuring. I lost my receipt for them in a move which pisses my off, sorry!! I can find out if you need me too. FYI, Simmons wheels are no longer sold in the US according to Group-A. They sais that the company didn't want to deal with US dealers anymore, so now you have to buy them direcly from the company which is located in Australia.
