You may be experiencing it over again but you only lived it once. This is time, heaven is eternity. From the physical we cannot see the Eternal. The spiritual kingdom operates at a much higher frequency. What we see now as time passing, will be standing still when viewed from eternity or heaven.
Our being in time and God's being in eternity... He sees everything at once. Failure to appreciate this is at the root of so many Christian theological tiffs. Salvation is a choice (Acts 13:46) but God knows who are His sanctified (Rom 8:29-30, Heb 10:14).
Please carefully read Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 & 3:14-15. It tells us that it has already happened but we just cannot remember it. It says nothing is new. Nothing. If it were simply a repetition of history there could be changes, but it clearly states that nothing can be added or taken away, i.e. nothing can be changed.

Are you saying there's an eternal recurrence of the same, that everything endlessly repeats exactly as before, even our thoughts & volitions, so that everything is fated? But wouldn't that require the eternity of the world, contrary to what Genesis says, or at least the eternity of the same world succeeding same world at the end of each world period? Might Solomon have meant only to say that the same SORT of things are repeated like the "times & seasons" of 3:1-8, not EXACTLY the SAME things?
Not necessarily an eternal recurrence, just existence. Apparent recurrence would only be as we are conscious of passing through time. Like an old movie film, beginning and end are there simultaneously. Light shining through the rolling film focuses it through the lens determining the time sequence. As we pass through this life we have light and focus, so to speak. What determines when we are here or when we are in the next realm, I do not yet know. But we will only be where the light is.
It doesn't repeat, it all exists at once. In the sequence from start to finish, wherever your consciousness is, that is what you experience. If you could keep jumping back in time you would experience the same things over and over, but you would probably never realize it because nothing changes. We must do our best to do what is right, and only hope we can do it.

It doesn't repeat, it all exists at once. In the sequence from start to finish, wherever your consciousness is, that is what you experience. If you could keep jumping back in time you would experience the same things over and over, but you would probably never realize it because nothing changes. We must do our best to do what is right, and only hope we can do it.
