I always wondered why people seemed to love Ralph so much. Compared to Link, he is short sighted, jealous and overall not very heroic.

And that is why we love him. Ralph is five hundred times more human then Link is, he has his own personality. He's lovable because he isn't perfect, and at the end of the day, he finally matures enough to lay it all down for the good of the world.

Watching a flawed person mature into a hero is the definition of 'epic'.

He was one of my first ever favorite characters despite his minor role in the game, and though I have no idea how it happened I think it was mostly because of his appearance XD despite how most people think he's a wizard or weird loooking. I LOVE IT! I absolutely ADORE Ralph, ever sinceI put him in one of my fanfics. He's only in there at the end, but he actually plays a major role in the story once you find out what he did/does.
