  • How is it in bad weather. There's only one Guy in my town with one And he rides it all the time even in the snow. I'm really thinkng about getting one big wow factor

  • Totally lame. Two wheels or none.

  • @kosnow11 That's right! Two wheels or overcraft!!!

  • Dude your video should have been name, "My new Spyder" or something of that nature because we were expecting more than a weenie burnout.

  • Kinda liked them at first glance, because they're diff. But after 2 min. started to have a change of mind. Looks like a snow mobile with a tire conversion kit on it. Dont think youd stand much of a chance if had to take a quick swerve to get out of the way. But if you like it?

  • would someone please put on a snowy street with atv screws in the tires..i want one..but i need to know if they're good on a slippery road... maybe even an frozen pond? i plan on riding it year round..you know..a sled for the street...

  • bro i have one and im loving it!

  • @MIAMIHACKER I just recently found out about these. What's the intrigue?

  • my dad has one and it only requires a car drivers liscence and the purr of the rotax motor makes me fall asleep ;P i love it.

  • waste of money and your life when you hit a dumb driver because you almost got it around them but cliped them ......... they are a death trap thats why 3 wheelers were outlawed in the 80's

  • @extreeeeeemist

Then you have no knowledge of how drastically different a reverse trike is compared to a traditional 3 wheeler.

  • Just ride a bike! And take all the bloody plastic shit off it,looks like crap.

  • @GavinS1965 your mom looks like crap

  • @exslang02 Oh.Oh.You smell like poo!

  • looked rather wired.... should be easier to handle than a 2 wheels bike though..

what they should really did add one more wheel enlarge it and build with carbon fiber frame maybe, that would be a super bike-car like the ktm x-bow which is a pretty awsome thing.

  • ''excellent''

  • looks like a snow mobile on wheels. im not sure what to think of these i see them occasionally on the road

  • VERY NICE TOY!!! ENJOY!!!

  • the nissan GTR of motorcycles

  • no.

  • I own one... there cool not as cool as my habusa but still pretty damn cool.

  • time for me to pick up chix with this hotrod

  • LOL ,What a load of crap, looks pathetic, but could be usefull for OAP´S who have lost their balance, i´ll stick to my 2 wheels thanks, in and out of the traffic, i can imagine this piece of shit stuck in a traffic jam on the m25 whilst its pouring with rain LOL.

  • does anyone know the gas milage on this?

  • @MANGOMAN9999

32 to 38 MPG depending on how big a windshield, rider, etc. Plus 6th gear is really reverse so that hurts the MPG. Add in the 3rd wheel, and larger frontal area and you can see where the MPG's go.

  • u know what it kinda looks like.... a snowmobile its gay hahaha well it dose a snowmoblie with wheels

  • I only saw a few driving down the road. I always thought they were cool. GOTTA GET ONE...

  • Thats awesome, speed of a motorcycle with the stability of a car!

  • lol omg ride a bike or a quad but that?!?!

its for poeple that can drive a 2wheel bike xD

  • It looks like a motorcycle ran into a huyndai.

  • I think these are cute. I saw a pink one at a bike shop. It was pink. I would totally get one. If they weren't so pricey lol.

  • Cool Tricycle !!!

  • mother...

  • Price???

  • wow its nice how much is this sucka

  • 17,00

  • $20,000 for a semi-auto

    about $19,000 for manual

  • $15,000 for the 2008 Spyder (manual)

  • some one should make an off road one

  • Stupid looking fucking things, bet they flip over when they turn a corner at 15mph.

    Prefer Rollerblades any day

  • @leithboy7

I have one. I run tail of the Dragon with it. Funny thing.... no tipping.

  • Well You know whats weird i went to daytona super speed way for the supercross and they were only selling them for 15,000

  • oh and also to the person who said "T-rex is better"

yea well, what would YOU RATHER PAY?

    30,000.

    OOOR

    15-17 Gs????

  • The T-Rex is actually $48,000 in the US

  • haha, just ONE MORE REASON why im gettin the Spyder over the T-Rex For Now..

even though, they're a Rush to Drive!!!

  • that silver one is absolutely GORGEOUS!

im getting one,but one thing is stopping me..

I CANNOT FIND A DEALER FOR THE LIFE OF ME!

    GOD DAMNET!

    LOL.

have fun with those sweet rides!

  • These things are a disgrace to the words "Can-Am"

  • i wouldnt be able to handle that solid metal handlebar triple clamp, to bland and ugly.

like the rest of the bike though to bad there so wide not to mention expensive

  • beeeaaaauuuutyfull

  • t-rex is way better

  • 1:08

    Ski-doo on wheels!

  • Great vehicle. Do they make any engine mods for it. That thing with a small turbo and around 200hp would be a blast! You would probably need to put one big racing slick on the back though. Haha.

  • To comment on some of the people wanting to get this for "gas saving mileage." It's a 7 gallon tank I believe, and merits about 27-31 realistic miles per the gallon. If you want to get something for mileage, this really isn't the bike for you, not to mention the lack of "splitting lanes" If your state allows it. You should buy a bike like this... because it has a cool aesthetic factor to it, and is unlike a lot of vehicles in the US right now.

  • Do you need your motorcycle license to drive one of these bad boys?

  • Yeah.

  • I thought your didnt need a motorcycle license for one of these??

  • It's considered a motorcycle because North America doesn't have any specific laws for 3-wheeled vehicles.

  • San Diego House of Motorcycles currently stands by the notion that it is considered a C class vehicle. Therefore, you do not need an M class license to drive it. HOWEVER according to their insurance policies, and policies of other bike places, you will not be able to test drive it without posting both a C and M class verified license.

  • its a state to state thing. California calls it a class C vehicle

  • @Supernerd98 no, you need just your driver license :D that's sick about it :P:D maybe i'm gettin' one soon lol

  • is this a music video.seems like a lot of people that post videos on youtube like to add there own music.

  • I have NO experience on bikes, 4 wheelers or snowmobiles at all... So im a beginner and im considering getting one of the things... what do u guys think?? also do they make them in auto? is it easy to learn how to shift gears?

  • I'd love one of these toys with the price of gas right now. I've had about 2 years experience riding quads and dirt bikes. I'd recommend you learn how they feel before tossing yourself on the road with one of these things. It's a lot of money to invest for someone that's never had the experience. Shifting gears is easy if you know how to drive a manual car. The clutch is a lever on the left and twist or thumb throttle on the right. The shifter is foot lever on the left. Takes some coordination.

  • They offer an electrnoic shifting which seems very easy

  • i love this machine ...

  • How much does it cost?

  • Papers I read said $15,000

  • Thank you!

  • lol heres the proof that canada can make things better than anyone when they want :P

  • whats the gas mileage on that thing?

  • According to the Motorweek episode I just watched, it only gets 31 mpg.

  • thats like a honda civic and ten times faster

  • Anyone comparing this to a traditional motorcycle doesn't get it. This thing is infinitely more stable - good thing. Easier to ride - good thing. Probably safer - its bigger and can be seen easier - good thing. It gives you all the wind in your hair thrills you need WITHOUT the worry of laying a bike down and getting road rashed and embarrassed.

  • Looks cool, but it doesn't seem to handle too well in the turns compared to a 2-wheel motorcycle.

  • not 200 mph. factory says it maxes at 110 mph. I bet you could get it higher, but if your looking for speed, why not just go with the better choice (in my opinion) and buy two wheels. That way you could slide up between cars as well. Well at least here in california. :)

  • they should make it look old school that would be cool

  • yes you do need a regular motorcycle endoresment on your drivers liscense, test drove one at a demo a couple of weeks ago, handles more like four wheeler than motorcycle, more for people who fear having to balance a two wheel motorcycle but want the feel of the open road. also seemed easier for me to carry passenger their moving was less noticable

  • awesome different and new

  • ever feel the need to jet-ski in the desert?

well this is the bike for you.....

  • Haha i agree

  • 200mph

  • whats the top speed of those?

  • actually its only about 110mph

  • these better then trexs?

  • i doubt it the trex looks way cooler anyway

  • the T-Rex is about 3 times more expensive, it's a different product.

  • this company is huge. they make quads, snowmobiles, watercraft, outboard motors, airplanes, and high speed electric trains. they are incredibly profitable.

  • Thanks to Canadian tax payers and their subsidizes.

  • Lol... it's the biggest recreational company in the world. Plus it leads the Regional airline industry with the CRJ and the bought DeHavilland which has Dash8.

  • Umm honda makes all that except for trains plus they make vehicles and generators and are wayyy more advanced in technology.

  • Honda doesn't make anything close to this, POP! There goes your bubble. There generators are nice, though pricey. I will give you that.

  • @shalinhustad best quads undeniably in the world

  • @WilderProjects a quad has four wheels.

  • Lol it sounds like my brothers quad

  • haha the only difference is that this has a V-twin engine

  • thats really cool man, I want one.

  • wheres can am from?

  • it's the division of bombardier that makes quads and trikes.

  • the Spyder is built in Valcourt, Quebec, like SeaDoos and SkiDoos from BRP

I was in the factory today and was very impressed, they were making 2009 snowmobiles and other Spyders.

  • how fast do they go

  • up to 120mph

  • @brunodi only 120??? damn.. i want this but my freinds cruise at 160 lol.. maybe ill swap in a hayabusa engine :)

  • Needs a real engine.

  • it's fascinating !

i think it's around $15000 worth.. ain't sure yet ! but this is what i've heard!

    i'm sooooo gonna buy one ! but i don't know where to put it :P since i don't have a garage =D

  • How much gas does it take...Like 30 dollars worth or what...I want one...

  • looks like skidoo with wheels.

  • They look great in person.

  • I saw one on my road. Since it was a dirt road with lot's of pot holes and stuff, he was walking it. The bike was too low to the ground. Anyway, he and his wife (his wife was with him), told me and my family about it. IT WAS AWESOME IN PERSON!!!

  • i myself ride vintage can am dirt bikes.

we have two of them in our family, and i challenge anyone out there to show me a better motor than a rotax...case and point, they have barely changed for over 40 years.

id throw my leg over this thing long before id touch a harley or any sport bike out there for that matter. i think it is tremendous for can am to get back out there after (1987) 20 years of dormancy.

cant wait to see if they will do a dirt bike in the near future...

  • is this considered a motorcycle?

  • Yes

  • but you can ride it with a car lisence

  • You can't. It has motorcycle license plates on it. You need a motorcycle license to drive it.

  • In Britain and Canada it's considered a roadster and you can drive with a regular license. In North America it's a motorcycle. They are really fun to drive and handle great.

  • Canada is in North America.

  • pointless

  • They are interesting to look at, very quick to ride. They had them at the open house I went to today. Not my style though. I 'll stick with 2 wheels.

  • someone know how much is this machine ?

  • $16,999

  • It is one of the strangest but coolest things that i have ever seen!!!

  • I love it somewhere to put the groceries in the front how lovely.Owen Australia

  • It looks like a skidoo snowmobile with wheels.

Looks like a blast to ride.

  • or its great if your disabled and cant ride a 2 wheeler like cool people like yourself... douche.

  • Andrew go humo a hamster you faggot

  • its about time change comes Canadien bike trike or watever skidoo with weels or land seadoo its new and a great idea again from an inovater bombardier i hope they call one Armand bombardier and they make all the clothing line and that every canadian forget about Davidson made in japan .

  • whats the name of this song??? and who sings it ?

  • School's Out - Alice Cooper

  • School's Out - Alice Cooper

  • Unimpressed.... hum. Mine runs 0-60 in 4.3 sec and I can smoke the back tire for 60 yards. I drop my friends on most stock ( Spyder is stock ) sport bike under 700 cc and can stay with 90% in the twisties. (Did you know all the prototypes had speed and power governers on them )? They also had GPS. They made that clear to all the riders... maybe you missed that part.

This is a great, fast, safe roadster, park it next to a row of sport bikes and choppers, everyone is looking at the Spyder.

  • i rode one of these around a test track during az bike week in scottsdale, az and i was unimpressed with the performance. the power wasnt down low where it needed to be. the brakes are awesome though!!! i slammed on them and the abs didnt even get to kick in. its comfortable to ride but hard to convert from a motorcycle because of the way it rides. very different, you have to try it for yourself and see!!!

  • nice touch with the A C...Schools Out!

  • After becoming paralyzed on a motorcycle and losing the use of my legs this thing is like a wet dream come true! Hand shifting and the stability is exactly what i need.

  • looks like a snowmobile lol

  • A seadoo with wheels!

  • Bullshit

  • looks like a bit of fun. Looks like your very limited in alot of ways compared to a bike. Never the less it looks like fun to ride/drive.

The guy looked to be running wide on that corner even though there was a standard car in front of him so he couldnt have been doing any significant speed.

990cc Vtwin? Meh. 1000cc 4 cylinder making 175 hp would have been better.

  • it's actually a 998 rotax and it man handles bikes on the road and on the canyon.

I have no problem holding off sport bikes.

and if the canyon has any dust or sand on it. I have far more traction.

even in traffic, i can keep up with a bike.

it makes very tight passes. can't split lanes, but it does just fine.

  • I find that hard to believe. It makes less HP than modern day 600's. Its twice as heavy as modern day 600's. That without going into the litre bikes. Rotax I think is the brand cause its definately a Vtwin.

Having said that I still reckon it would be a fair wack of fun. Being able to dump the clutch without the front wheels comming up would be a bizzare change. Also 110 mph speed limited? Wtf? Thats the end of 3rd gear 4 me.

  • you can make four wheelers street legal in some states by making it into a reverse three wheeler, i seen a raptor with one wheel in the back in a dirt wheels mag once and it was street legal

  • Makes no sense. If you make your quad less stable its street legal... You should be able to toss on 4 street tires and pass a DOT inspection for brakes, lights, speed etc. and legally drive it on road with a motorcycle license. I bomb the Raptor down back roads anyway!

  • I got mine 3 days ago. People just stared at me as I rode by

  • hey 1000 made?

what are the chance a teenager will get one?

  • in a good way or bad way?>

  • all i wanna know and see, is a wheely on that thing. lol

  • impossible Uncle Tom

  • Wow way to spell amazing.

  • it looks stupid,im not paying 15k for that thing, id rather get a yamaha sportbike for half that, and faster

  • sounds like a 4 wheeler...

  • What kinda licence do you need? lol cuz its not a bike and its not a car

  • In some states you can drive the Spyder with a normal car-driving license, and in others states, like in Québec, you need a motorcycle-driving license.

  • Nice, my uncle is getting one of these.

  • I want a yellow one!!!!!

  • how much is tht? isn't like 15,000?

  • 16k

  • 14.999 US$, and 18.499 CND$.

...wich is wrong and stupid. We pay far too much for our vehicules here in Canada.

  • currency is less in canada, so its actually about the same

  • when was the last time you checked the exhange rate, its like the same...

  • actually the canadian dollar was worth more when you typed that jimtube84. lol.

  • I want one! I like the silver too
