I have a question, if i plug a 1000rpm fan to this Scythe KASE Q-8 8 channel fan controller, and turn the knob to 100% is the fan gonna go to its normal 1000rpm or is gonna try 2 go to 9900rpm?
@fantasmaofdoom That is a shame. I wish they would have included one with the controller. You should be able to get one for just a couple of dollars off of Ebay.
Thank you so much for the review, it was very straight forward, and assured me that I could use it in my case! My controller should be coming in the mail soon! :)
Nice review bro, Dose the spec show how many watts per channel?
Also, after reading some of the other comments ......you can pick up silver coils for a few bucks...I personally use a combination PT Nuke, which also is just a few bucks and silver coils........never use bleach.
@WestCoastMods Thank you very much LazyMan. I couldn't find a answer on their website so I looked up the conversion for it online. Here is what I came up with.
Converting Watts to Amps
The conversion of Watts to Amps is governed by the equation Amps = Watts/Volts
For example 12 watts/12 volts = 1 amp
Or to make it simpler times the volts by amp and it would give you 12 watts.
@SylentCommando Distilled water. I had coolant in there and it left a bunch of residue all over everything so I had to take it all apart and clean it. So I wont ever use coolant again. Besides distilled water is only about $1.00 a gallon much cheaper then coolant.
@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties I kinda figured that one out, but people shouldn't have to guess, this kinda info has to be placed on the cover or the site description, IMHO. Most fan producers put rated Volts and Watts on the cover, Amps usually listed on some high-amp fans, like Delta's, Panasonic's, etc.
@zver711 I agree. I sure was wondering myself. I add a note to the video for others to help them out. I think when I contact Scythe I will make a mention of it and see if they can change the package or at least update their website about it.
hey fuzzy, nice review as always. Did this just come out from scythe, or has it been out a while. I just picked up 2 vertex 3 60 gb ssd yesterday to run in a raid 0 setup, since ocz refused to send me one.
isn't this kaze?

you can add pure silver coil or PT Nuke additive stops growth and algy in your loop.
SylentCommando 7 months ago
@SylentCommando I imagine pure silver is expensive. I will have to look into the PT Nuke. Thank you for the heads up on it.
FUzzyBUnnyBOoties 7 months ago
yep, what do you use as a additive to stop groth in the loop.
SylentCommando 7 months ago
@SylentCommando I haven't adding anything yet but I was thinking about adding a spoonful of bleach to it.
FUzzyBUnnyBOoties 7 months ago
nice, hey what do you use in your water cooling loop, distilled water, or coolant?

yep. someone has to.how old is the fan controller did scythe just come out with it?
SylentCommando 7 months ago
@SylentCommando Yes they did they also make a 5 1/4 " one that I think controls 12 fans if you want some thing bigger.
FUzzyBUnnyBOoties 7 months ago
Its weird that they give the info on amperage, but not wattage per channel. That's peculiar.
zver711 7 months ago
@zver711 Now that you mention it that is strange. I guess I didn't think about it. I will see if I can find the wattage on it for you.
FUzzyBUnnyBOoties 7 months ago
@zver711 I figures it out it is volts times amps = watts so it would be 12 volts x 1 amp =12 watts per channel
