I just bought - a month ago - 25,000 records some guy was keeping in an old barn...I kept about 4,500 of them the rest were trashed or not of interest to me they went to the dump...took me over 50 hours to clear out that goddamn freezing ass barn!...it was as long as a football field & all the records were in the VERY back...there was some REAL good stuff in there...including a mint copy of THIS record which I had never heard before in life. It's all I've been listening to for the last 2 days.
i love techno because it is the first genre with intelligent beats. beats that are hybrids of electro funk beats and chicago house beats. a great combination. and thanks to juan atkins for creating this kind of music.
I still do not know why was it called techno. It sounds very similar to chicago house, and it could perfectly be a subgenere of chicago house music. The drum fills, the sound of the rimshot, the clap,... etc, is very house. The real techno was born in Europe , and it was an evolution of kraftwerk and dark technopop sound. You can listen to tracks from 1984 (anne clark), 1986 (bit max-caravan, off-zak) and of course the german techno of robotiko rejekto, the belgian new beat
Good bit after the bass, works the acidy squelcheness.

Oh gosh been looking for this tune in my collection for ages!! This has made my day. Believe!
Now after saying that whilst listening to this wherever you be may it be at home or work do the following:
PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR I DONT CARE WHERE YOU ARE JUST DO IT NOW!
Bobby (Romford, Essex).

@joansanmiguel
This music was called Techno by its creators. There was no internet community to tell them that they were wrong.
What system are you proposing for the naming of music?
It's a brilliant track of course. Easily my favourite from a great genre.
bachgammon1 8 months ago 12
@bachgammon1 think you'll find Neil Rushton (Network Records) came up with the name techno if I remember correctly.
