The longer barreled revolvers will have less recoil due to the heavier weight, as well as better accuracy/velocity because of the longer barrel. I personally haven't shot the longer ones but that's normally how it works. You can shoot .44 specials through a .44 magnum such as a S&W Model 29, but not through the .500 as the caliber is different. They do make .500 specials but I have never tried any myself. The load I used for this video were 300g HSM, light compared to Hornady or other hot loads
I know nothing about guns so I was just wondering, what grain bullet you were using and do the shorter barrelled 500mags have less kick/recoil compared to say the 6.5" or 8-3/8" versions. I am very interested in getting my RPal and this is the gun I would want to purchase, or the 6.5". Also I thought I read somewhere that you can you shoot .44 special rounds in this thing, is that true?
Check out the comment by bigredss396, this is his piece. Long barreled revolvers are in my experience for accuracy and possible less felt recoil due to the weight being more towards the front of the weapon. I am not familiar with RPal and if this is your first firearm I do not recommend it. If you want somethimg with power in a revolver I would go with a .357 or .44 mag.
