That's the best response I've gotten on this video ever. Nice to know our world is a bit smaller due to the internet that the CoC of a WRC event would comment on this. Its one of my favorite rallies especially due to the "buying a house comment". I watched the recent Asia/Pacific running of the event. It still looks as mean as it did. Good luck in trying to get it back to a WRC Rally, I'd like to see it back on the calendar.

You are so foolish enough to tell that the 1997 Rally of Indonesia is the only Rally of Indonesia in the WRC so far. 1996 was the other year it was held.

i thought i was all alone in thinking the wrc has gone sour nowadays. yeah it's too bad terrorism and financial crisis has eliminated that round.
i wish i was in a lot of rallies when i was younger too to see a piece of history. going to see rallies now is dull and boring.

Hmmm, in 1996 too, 1998 was canceled, but, in 2010, my country have plan to bring WRC back (hopefully success) in Makassar, Sulawesi island ...

In 1998 had Indonesia political problems with president Soeharto(revolution). Also now for the safety for Western people.Moslim attacks, see Bali.
