Haendel's Sarabande was originally written for Hapsichord Suite ( not crchestrated )--it was orchestrated , at Stanley Kubrick 's instigation, for his film 'Barry Lyndon' (1975 ) and was performed for the film by City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra'--the verson in 'Pride & Prejudice', albeit same arrangement, was performed by London Symphony Orchestra. Hope this clarifies everything!

this version of the "Pride and Prejudice" in not even in a half as good as the older one from 1995 (I think)... But the music - masterpiece...

Pride and Prejudice was one long assed movie, or at least it felt like one. Apparently imdb.com said it was only 2 hours long, but I swear I was sitting there for 4 hours. I'm very gratified that this video condenses it down to only 4 minutes.

this music-Handel's Sarabande is so moving it not only touches your heart but redefines soul and transforms even the banal into a source of wonderment! Incidentally, this music was also used in Kubrick's Barry Lyndon (1975) and most recently in BBC documentary 'Auschwitz'. Sarabande is a slow Spanish dance which is used in a very sombre occasion-played when a child dies...
