Um... this is really old news to me. I've had asthma attacks from third-hand smoke. If you enter the place where someone smokes a lot, that terrible smell is full of those chemicals in cigarette smoke. In high enough doses, it's just like second-hand smoke. And it harms.

actually I do suffer a bad reaction to 3rd hand smoke so you are not speaking to the right people if you don't believe in it, you should ask those who are affected! My mum smoked around me as a child and it caused an extreme allergy to it
Yes of course I do react terribly to 2nd hand smoke, really hurts my chest and I can't breathe if I am near anyone smoking, but I also react to the poisons in 3rd hand smoke, which is the residue on a smoker's clothes, eg when I'm sat by someone on the bus who has just been smoking. It gives me a headache and nausea.
I never said that! I move away if I start to get affected by someone's third hand smoke. I think I have every right to try to raise awareness of it as a real problem for some of us (although 2nd hand is worse)
Why can't other politicians actually read the studies and see the distortion of scientific method that is taking place? Anti-tobacco advocates are nothing more than zealots - they have a "belief", they have a "faith." Their perversion of the scientific method will have implications in years to come and is more akin to the Nazi's measuring of Jews' skulls than genuine investigation. Then again, when most anti-tobacco science has its roots in the work of SS "Doctors", what do you expect?

You can't take science matters with belief or blind faith, therefore you must conduct research with fair tests to come to a more honest and fair conclusion.
