My side camera is my D60 with my telephoto lens and I tried it with my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and I loved it! So crisp!!!! On my d700 with the FX it's super wide and awesome
@deadkennedys909 the sigma 30mm i think (correct me if i am wrong) also a full frame lens so that will be super sweet for full frame video in the future
Thank you for a great video. You've finally convinced me that high ISO isn't big problem! But what about low-light portraits, especially without flash? You need sharp details but with high ISO - noise reduction it's difficult.. Thank you for help!
@Shembroro dont get what you mean truly infinity? nothing is truly infinite if you take it literally...every lens has an infinity marking on it. just manually focus to that point and your stars will be sharper than knives. haha theres no need to overcomplicate.
@blackxthink Thank you. I might get the 35mm f1.8 if it's in my budget. I asked the froknowphotos guys their like Oh you should get one and it was 600 dollars more. They don't care about people who are budgets I guess. Not everyone in the world is rich and can afford 20,000 dollar lenses. I got do with what I got. In my own opinion, that makes better photographers.
ur last vids serious are great very informative ... i cant have enough of them .. love how you put photos to explain what you are saying ..
i always .. thought that i can't .. go more than 100 iso ..if i want to print ....could you tell me how you can get rid of the nosie in light room or photoshop ..?
@kauxkaux Tamron 28-75 or sigma 28-70 are both affordable lenses that have an aperture of f2.8-f22, thou for a wedding you need more than one lens as you'll be at different distances etc so a sigma 70-200 f2.8 is a nice pairing lens. You just can't do a wedding with one lens, if you tried, you'll miss to much and you only get one chance at a wedding,it's not like everyone will be posing for you at all times. Hope this helps?
when i search for bower flash,I hit on youre videos Dom...good extra hits for you....cheer's

How do you set the focus when doing sky/stars photography?
Shembroro 1 year ago
@Shembroro set your camera to manual focus. its either in the lens or on the camera body and then focus to infinity.
WiLmAn07 1 year ago
@WiLmAn07 But is it truly to infinity? Or does it depend on the lens?
Shembroro 1 year ago
@Shembroro the stars and the sky are kilometres away. it should be infinity for all lenses.

Dom, I'm getting the D7000, Also picking up the Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AF, have you used this lens before? If so, do you like it?
nerwin 1 year ago
@nerwin I'm getting the exact same thing!

@nerwin
i have the 50mm 1.8 and it's pretty sick.
but i think the 35mm would be better on a crop sensor..
On my d90 i would need a little bit more wide than 50mm ..

@nerwin there is also an old 35mm f2 which i think you can get for verycheap
Dombowerphoto 1 year ago
@nerwin well the body you dont need to spend $5200 for a d3s.
But you need good lens for the image quality and low light situation (since the low end cameras dont handle high iso very well)
But the fixed zoom with f1.8 are cheap and have a amazing quality
