Thanks for making this, it makes me think maybe I can deal with some of the things I am embarrassed about with some of the grace you showed when faced with the type of stuff nobody can avoid getting judged for, like getting locked up or losing custody of kids.
Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness and chronic fatigue syndrome is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.
The other side of this is being told you are crazy for telling the truth until the stress makes you crazy and it becomes the self fulfilling prophecy. The problem is that what 'crazy' means to some (psycho spiritual distess) is NOT what it means to the system now. ( a chemiistry/genetics problem without relationship to anyone's actual life problems, traumas or dysfunctional relationships.
Thank you for your comment.I agree with all your perspectives and definitions of crazy. The system is far more focused on the physiological aspects that they can treat with medication. My perspective is holistic. My recovery and those of my clients is based on bringing balance and meaning and satisfaction back into our lives. As I say in this video clip, I had to recover not only from the trauma of a dysfunctional family but trauma inflicted on me by the system.
