we watched this movie in school. did you recognize that the movie's almost like the jesus story? Grace = Jesus, her father = god.. btw. good movie even without the whole decor.
It's a very shallow parallell, especially considering that the moral and conclusions of the story are nothing like the "Jesus story". Whomever brought this up in your class should rewatch the dialogue in the ending, it is the key to understanding the whole plot.

Hmmm I don't really agree with the biblical analogy that's being used with Grace conveying Jesus. I just think that when Lars was making this film he was trying to show us the evil and greedy nature of humans. Like "dogs" we simply abide by our nature and adhere to immoral actions if it will result in personal gain.

Actually it is exactly this but somehow inversing the end... Instead of being sacrificed and forgiving the people for what they did to her she realizes that it's too selfish to forgive them and that she has to take revenge... An amazing movie!
