  • even if daigo lost the final..he got taunts in and he made the top moment in evo history

  • ive never even played 3S and this amazes me.

  • Man I don't care how hardcore you are. I would have conceded right then and there to that amazing display :P

  • i can watch this vid 1000 times & not get tired of it

  • Daigo is always a step ahead in his mind of what he will do next at a fighting game. No matter what game whether it be SNK vs CAP 2, Sf2, Guilty Gear, Sf4, Daigo is a master at fighting games!

  • That comeback was EPIC.

I could never pull off something like that...

  • @TrunkJunky Nobody could :)

  • Many years have passed, and this STILL amazes me.

  • Both of these guys would obliterate me, no question.

But was it really the finals? I hear it was the semifinals.

  • losers bracket

  • No bullshit, J wong was at a guilty gear tourney I was in. We faced in th finals and he pwned me.I gave him the fight I could, but damn is he good.I never want him discredited for this here.

  • Nah, he just got cocky and probably didn't anticipate that he'd parry his super art. Still a very sweet fight though.

  • Would you? I mean it is a 17 hit super art. I barely parried it once in training. I've got almost 20 years experience gaming, and it's a chore. Especially on reaction. I've faced him. he is patient as hell, and waits for his openings.

  • Well from what I've seen Daigo is one if not the best player I've ever seen at this game. And he shouldn't have tried it. Especially from so far away. As parrying is work, it can still be mastered and he should have known he wouldn't let him just win like that. Especially when he started getting more aggressive.

  • Daigo is the best player. He was extended an invite to test out SF4, but I'm trying to say that it was an easy mistake, and he won't be making them again.

  • I don't like turtling Chun-Lis, but the fact is Justin Wong's strategy was correct. Even Umehara probably couldn't have parried that super all the time, and if he did, it was still a crapshoot that he could retaliate with one combo to do enough damage to win the match.

With the benefit of perfect hindsight an EX Spinning Bird Kick probably would have been safer, but given this situation, his strategy was correct.

  • I can agree with that. The chip damage would have been sufficient to take him out, and my chun-li isn't a turtler. I am still learning her though, as well as others i this game too. So I now know that the strategy was best for daigo's ken.

  • VERY amazing.
