  • ya man, outstanding, thanks = )

  • want his decks now! lol

  • he was at out school today :D

he lives in my hometown :)

  • bury this video in a time capsal... and in 2000 years the lifeforms watching it will wonder how to reach this skill level.... wow... AMAZING

  • Висш пилотаж

    High fly operating

  • ya dark woods...

  • Dj Woody, one of the best turntablists in the world, a genius and such a nice genuine lad! S S S s s s sssssssweeeeet!!!

  • I want the Controller One. NOW.

  • first off all its a showcase not a battle and he is doing a lot more than you think he is right now

  • I use mp3's, and I would still smack you around in a battle using tapes.

  • cool. i can play mp3s too.

  • I agree with Namkooc, during competition, only real vinyl should be used... When using serato/ tracktor, there' s a relative mode that allows for skipless scratching, which obviously isn't the case... There should be a separate competition for DVS DJ's and don't lump them in with the ol' skool turntablists that are vinyl purists. Turntablism and controllerism are two totally different things...

  • fucking mp3s use real vinyls

  • Fcukkin nice 1 Woodster, always, unique, tight as hell and very technical. 10/10 yet again. loved u'r triple deck wizard routine's. SICK, good work, kp it up */|:-)=[

  • Which turntables is he using here??

  • @MoanM Both tables are from Vestax. The first one he uses looks (to me) like a simple Vestax. The other however, is something else! It's the Vestax Controller One, and for some reason I'm not allowed to put a link to the Vestaxsite in my post.. So you need to Google it yourself.

    Grtz Truxal

  • pas mal the doors a la fin =)

  • geil!

  • Simply amazing!

  • fresh!

  • i saw this do a set in my ends in guernsey and it was siiiiiick

  • Wow... i saw woody perform in LA at the vestax extravaganza 2001 and he has just gone to a whole different level... what a way to use the tables as a musical instrument and remixing on the fly...

  • fukin great

even better if u get 2 see him live (Y)

  • Who won this tournament? Woody is perfect and elegant!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah but you still can't do it sweepee!!!;)

    Word to the Wood

  • From 4:00, straight up the tightest beat juggle I've ever seen.

  • damn,Jimi Hendrix on turntables ! haha...i dig it- dj mysterio ( the man born 40 years early )

  • you're dj mysterio from the old dmc tapes?

  • same as ITF 2003

  • Any complete sets of him out there?

  • @trabifant yeah there's a few available, there's more details and links on his Myspace if you want to check them out.

  • You probably have to like the modern day version of DJ's in order to appreciate the merits of playing with turntables in this manner.

  • he the exact same thing in 2003 at the ITF..

maybe it's time to do something different??!!

  • He looks like the actor from Jarhead

  • That flute jam is so musical, it really presses all the right buttons melodically, but the J5 samba kinda sours some of the magic, it looks good and is really effective but it's like he takes turntablism forward 20 years with his opening gambit then takes it back two five years ago.

Then of course the Light My Fire refrain tears the whole thing to fucking pieces, I like Woody a lot, he's a true pioneer, he's the like the Brubeck of turntablism.

And he's from the North of England! Fuck yeah!

  • You're speakin' the truth there, and you know of the Brubeck drum machine, lol..Peace

  • DJDHAGOMIX : Vestax

  • I enjoyed some of it. But I really found it funny that he looks like the jake gyllenhaal of the scratch world.

  • what kind of turntable is it?

    great job!!!!

  • vestax controller one, woody helped design it

  • dudes really good and I read some where that DJ Qubert thinks he's pretty good too.
