Why should I pay more, so many who don't work get a check. If you want to make it equal then it should be equal for everyone, a percentage of my wages and income is much higher in dollars already than you at 50k. At 50k you get most of your tax dollars back, I write a big fat check already, that is why I am against a success tax.
I already pay my staff more, they will suffer because I will have to pay others that don't work for me. All the prices will increase and you will not have any more money than you do today, because the cost of breaking even just went up. I WILL continue to make the same as I do today, I will charge more to the consumer to cover the redistribution.
It is a bad plan, you lose, my employees lose and I will lose because it will cost more than currently to expand my company.

In my business model, I will have to charge you 28 cents per egg to stay in the same margins. So you will make more, I will charge more and in the long run you will lose. In this example it is a wash, but for the hassle I am going to charge 30 cents per egg and you will show a net loss of 2 cents per egg.

One other point, if you think that the democrats are going to stop taxing the 250k+ earners, they will raise taxes on everyone by raising capital gains, real estate, death, 401k and any other tax they can come up with. You will be paying $10 per gallon in gas because they will not allow any new production of gas or construction of power plants. The Democrats of 2008 are bad for America's freedom and future. Socialization is not the answer.

How about if the government stays out of my wallet and I choose how to spend my money. I reward my good employees and they are happy and love working for me. here is a thought people, If i make a millon in profit a year and I pay 5% in taxes and my employees pay 5% also in taxes. My employees arent making the money i make so they cant afford to do things as well as I do them. So if i make more then i dont mind being taxed a lil more because if i am at 10% and they are at 5% then guess what THEY KEEP more money in their pocket thus making my workforce stronger and more reliable. If business pay more in taxes then all the products and services will cost more, simple economics, if a widget that used to cost 10 cents now costs 12 cents, you will not pay 15 cents you will pay 30 cents. So by taxing the businesses more you still won't be able to live like a king because living in the middle will cost a lot more.
Glad you brought that up... So GAS went up and we all had to pay for the rise in it but did you hear of any of the low man on the totem poles getting a leg up because of this?? All goods and services in this econmy has risen due to economic strain and not once have you seen a rise in wages but you have seen a rise in UNEMPLOYMENT ( money that is not getting used to fuel the economy). So once again why wouldnt 250K earners taxes go up again??

TW36AZ let me ask you this. If I worked for you and my taxes looked the same as your taxes in terms of percent, would i be a happy worker because we are being taxed equal BUT NOT PAID EQUAL??? You say when has anyone gotten a job from a poor guy but when has anyone ever been happy with a job when they are still pooer than the rich guy. There has to be an equality in the playing field of how wealthy is distributed.

So by taxing the businesses more you still won't be able to live like a king because living in the middle will cost a lot more.
