If you have Bowser in battle, his minions will run away the moment it's their turn. I don't remember how it affects your xp/gold, but if it works like normal fleeing foes, it make a low level run easier.

You said that you don't need to raise defense and offense for Peach anymore because of the lazy shell. You don't need to raise her HP either, considering most attacks do only one damage on her anyway. I always focused on raising her magic attack since she's the main healer.

Bowser may be the weakest but i had no problem using him for the most of the game. Mallow was useless for me. After I got Bowser, Mallow never made it back into my party. My favorite party is Mario, Geno, and Bowser.

Actually, Bowser is really useful if you don't want to fight the enemies in his keep because they run away on their first turn if Bowser is in your active party.

w/o the lazy shell, peach can actually do pretty good damage with the war fan or the frying pan. it seems at the end of the game most people drop her as an attacker and focus on using her to heal, and i know u can use the star egg for 100 damage, but she can actually have stronger attack than mallow. couldnt it be good to give mallow the lazy shell armor and scrooge ring to use him for magic and let peach kick some butt? peach's healing moves only use 2 fp anyway, so its not a stretch

once you beat the axem rangers, make a run back over to molevile. talk to the toad with the weird item shop and buy for about 200 coins the metal plate. its toadstool's frying pan! her ultimate weapon! (i think it is anyway. dont remember if the super slap gloves are better or not, but its still worth checking out imo)
