Bostonian here - great montage! Did you know in the 60's the Charles River was so polluted that the college crews who rowed on the river required their teams to get shots in case they fell in the water? (True story.)
However, since about the 70's a real effort was made to clean the river and now it's much-much better! People swim in parts of it now.
Love this! Makes me homesick as hell. I got to get back there somehow.
