  • This is one of the most beautiful BUGs that I ever seen. Make driving video. Greetings from Croatia.

  • @MojTubeYouKanal Thank you sir!

  • Murray your crotch cooler it's still available??

  • @classicvwimport umm...its still in my possession, yes sir.

  • Gangsta, I just picked up a 55' Oval... keep an eye on my profile for videos and pictures!

  • @DrVdubbin54 will do DrVdub! I love early ovals. Matter of fact, thats what i was looking for when i came up on the split. I was looking for a 3 fold early oval with semis.

  • For sale?

  • @snakemanmike Sure! $23,000!!

  • what is a croch cooler?

  • @DYNO323 They are the vents located in the quarter panels aft of the front fenders. You can see them at 28 seconds into the video. They allow fresh air into the interior.

  • espetacular

  • @RaimundoCampeao Gracias

  • Crotch coolers were a feature of the '52s, however, it's possible they might have been on a few '51s as VW often made changes "on the fly"

  • @Shoknifeman Contrary to your statement, Crotchcoolers came to fruition in 1951. VW ran them for two years, ending them sometime in 52. And if my memory serves me right, they may have only been present on deluxe 51-52 models.

  • @Shoknifeman "April 13th or 15th, '51, to October 1st, '52." Thats the range of dates crotch coolers were ran. My car was built on April 16th, which makes it the earliest of the earliest!

  • Keep this car away from Jewish Americans, they will attack Ohaha..

  • @00thelastottoman00 ummm......okie doke!

  • Porsche 356 brakes? Quality!!! Most Porsche replicas don't have those!!

  • @boo66 NOPE! Everybody says that too. They may resemble 356 units, but are actually CB performance disc brakes at all four corners.

  • Why is it just sitting there?!! Lets fire up that old beast and take it for a spin!

  • @Ferreal92 I'll upload another video to show the motor now. Alot has changed, cosmetically, back there. Also, if you look on my channel, you'll find videos of me cruising around. They are entitled, "Sounds of the Sidewinder."

  • Resto-custom, love it!

  • @Dab11082 Thank you!

  • イーッネ!!

  • Sweet! Beetles are So cool!

  • @bwild61 Yes, they are!

  • Comment removed

  • Haven't seen WORKING VW semaphores in a very long time! My compliments.

I'd rather see any car being kept alive than see it crushed, and I really love to see a sleeper. Best regards.

  • @TheSonofmydad Thank you, Sir. I feel the same way.

  • hahaha 30 inch wheels donka lift that fucken bug is hard fuck these restored wannabee unless its original been keeped away for 60 70 years with the same dam parts when it came off the lot man i am going to try to save up for a split i have a 60 and its getting slamed where i take off asphalt if i can lol u no what i mean

  • @johnnyarpa Thanks. I respect the purists, but I have a thing for the resto customs. Thats what I like and thats the look Im going for with this car.

  • As that one guy said, it's a shame to ruin old classics if they r in perfect condition. But i like custom cars and if u can get your hands on a classic that's pretty much ready for the scrapyard, then i think it's great to just save it. U dont need to get all original part for those, just save an old classic from dying and do it with personality! Sweet bug there! :)

  • @Born2doU What "that one guy" failed to comprehend is the state of the car when I purchased it, or furthermore, the state of the car when it was rescued. Unbeknownst to him, this car has come an exceptionally long way and has essentially had an NOS resto. No more rust and year correct parts are essential to me. With a classic like this, I wouldnt do anything that isnt readily reversible. So again, to each his own. Furthermore, I agree with your statement as that is exactly what Ive done.

  • I'm sorry but I just cannot understand why having found an original car, you have to destroy it by fitting those ridiculous axles, wheels and the uprated engine. It's your car so you can do anything you like but, as my father owned a 1946 VW Sedan from 1956 until 1962 and we were involved with them from 1950 until 1994, I think it is rather a shame to ruin them.

I respect your work, interest and expertise but am sad to see your car in this modified form. Have fun with it though and good luck!

  • @HQBProductions Hmmm...Well I guess I won't tell you that I just finished installing the 30 inch wheels, donk lift, and skittles logo on the doors.....;-)

  • i would kill u to have this lol...

  • @bassyguitar lol...any vdub is worth rolling in!

  • @murray7010 haha no doubt, just dont like my 69 as much any more lol... shoullda done my homework first n gotta an older one...

  • im jealous

  • SWEET BEETLE !!!!

  • @mschiffel1 thanks!

  • why was the air cooled car concept abandoned? Did they over heat a lot.......you would think with the huge amount sold that wasn't the reason

  • @inkey2 Easy because the person who took over volkswagen in the 70's had a passion for fwd water cooled engines... so they dumped porsche's. Also it is cheaper to make so you don't get the revenue from selling extra parts..... Its all just a crock of shit if you ask me...

  • i love that kind of color that doesnt shine alot...... how its called that type of color.....????

  • @mellyvel1 The color is the OG black on the body. It doesnt shine because its old...lol. I think you may be thinking of the present day matte colors. Such as matte black, etc.

  • That is one super clean, nice '51. No matter what the tards say. Don't change a thing!

  • @gmltw Thanks buddy. Didnt plan on it.....:-)

  • awesome car

  • @vwomar Thank you!

  • Love your bug. Way different than my 73.

  • @woodlandcammo27 Thanks. Late models are awesome as well!

  • @murray7010 They are fun because you can customize the hell out of them and not worry about keeping them so original. I am buying a 67 Bug this weekend for $1,400 if all goes well. It needs a new paint job but the rest is all in great original condition and has a few custom things that I may change. I wanted a metal dash with the square gas guage.

  • is that a kdf (strength trough joy) or a beetle from after the war

  • @yorrickwi No sir, just a beetle from after the war. That would be cool if it was a KDF beetle though...

  • @murray7010 its stll verry nice though it does look like it has been lowered and i dont like that

  • @yorrickwi Thanks, But its MY CAR....and I LIKE IT....;-)

  • @murray7010 yeah i dont say its a partcular bad thing but in my taste its not so nice soo yeah now that we have that out of the way it looks like its deperate for a paint job does it in present have one already or is it still in the same state in just curius if you get tired of me and my questions than just say it i'l stop

  • @yorrickwi No worries my friend, everyone is entitled to their own. There's alot of stuff out there that I don't like that people do with their VWs as well. Anyways, still same appearance. The body is actually original 60 year old paint. So desperate or not, it's not getting painted anytime soon as there aren't many 50's era cars still sporting original paint still. For 60 years, I guess its held up okay, lol.

  • @murray7010 well maybe you can try to restore the paint

  • @yorrickwi Maybe Not

  • @murray7010 ok im really gonna stop now i know ik can be kind of an ask alot thanks for your time :D

  • @yorrickwi no problem!! Likewise

  • split windows are so sweet

  • @jdswiney Yes indeed!!

  • At 0:06 on the pillar you have a gap where something goes

what is supposed to go there?

  • @TheScrewable I assume you are referring to the B pillar. If so, you can see at 1:20, that the semaphore turn signal indicators are housed there.

  • @murray7010 Thank you i just didn't know what they called them

  • That dashboard is a thing of beauty. It's so much more stylish compared to the 1978 one I have. :[

  • When I see that semophore signal actuate, I think 'Heil Hitler...Heil Hitler!'

  • awesome car!

  • so it is a "modernized original"?

  • @102Help I guess you could say that. :-)

  • mate!!

  • What is the vent thingy at 0:30?

  • @jdswiney They are called "Crotch Coolers." They allow fresh air in through the quarter panels into the cab. VW ran crotch coolers for two years only. 1951 and 1952.

  • what discs are you running?

  • @igorgosmash CB Performance wide 5 setup at all 4 wheels

  • @murray7010 hey bro nice bug im ajs friend here in redlands california i probly watched ur video a hundred times!! i just got my first rag top its a sixty two nothing like urs but its still kool lol keep up the good work bro!!

  • @eddie72bug Hey Eddie, thanks man! Me and AJ go way back, he's good people. My first dub was a 61 beetle. Ask AJ about it. Keep in touch!

  • Hitler owned a black beetle. Legend has it he got away by smugleing himself past the alliance in the trunk of his beetle. who knew?

  • @laneatlileden lol...never heard that one, but okay!

  • @laneatlileden the beetle isnt hitlers FACT! porsche designed it hitler only approved it big woop. And the British Army made sure the beetle carried on. So its more allied than you think.

This Bug is incredible will you sell it?? Massive thanks for the upload

  • @laneatlileden Hitlers Bug was a Cabriolet ;o)

  • Someone went "Ratrod" with this one. Cool

  • Just checking to see if you had a chance to speak to your wife. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks

  • Ok, thanks for the reply. I have a 1965 21 window. I have serval offers but I dont want to let it go unless I can buy your car. I look forward to hearing from you after you talk with your wife. Thanks

  • That is one jawdroppin nice bug.

  • @mellotrongirl thank you very much

  • How can I contact you to talk more. Thanks

  • @albertvw1966 May have to get back to you on that one. in order for me to sell, I need the wifes approval and a replacement aircooled ride equal to that of an awesome splitwindow!!

  • Is 18k your price

  • @albertvw1966 yeeup.

  • @albertvw1966 yeeup.

  • Nice Bug bro, wish i could find me one!!!

  • Very nice split, I like of the engine.

  • dude thats looks badass nice

  • JUAREZ GARAGE........ HOW IS YOUR VW SPLIT? YOU'VE DONE SOMETHING NEW?

  • @JUAREZGARAGE Split is good! Yes. Done some stuff here and there. Upgraded the ignition system to Full MSD, motor now sports a 36 hp engine tin setup, and got rid of the hex bar linkage. It now has the twist style CSP linkage. Changed the door panels as well. Coming soon: Wheels, Braided/Finished fuel and oil lines in the engine compartment. Repaint of all engine tin in black. Alternator will be black, and so will manifolds. Also getting rid of the air cleaners for black velocity stacks.
