  • Great but after convert i can't use subtitle!

  • I noticed this problem after I downloaded handbrake: When I upload my videos to youtube I noticed a gray image that covers my video while I'm talking for the first 10 seconds. After 10 seconds it goes back to normal. Therefore, I have to use a intro video from Windows live movie maker in front of my video n order to remove the grayness from my video. Also if my video is 3 mins the grayness will not show on my video. Have any1 experienced this and can help me? Thanks ;)

  • reading the comments made me think: mac users don't know shit about video and formats... thats typical from mac users.

  • how do i put it on imovie?

  • My download download's almost all the way and it stops at 35/36. I'm downloading talladega knights. PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Thanks

  • Thanks for the help man, i appreciate it

  • for some reason it say something about a vlc format...

  • Russel Peters huh!

you have a good taste of stand up comedy.

  • when i choose my file it doesn't show the destenation title!

  • Is it only a video converter or can you convert music files as well?

  • For some reason, whenever I download something, it comes out REALLY scrambled. Every time. I've left all the settings the same.

What could possibly be the cause of this? It's not the DVD, because I've tried multiple.

  • Transferring episodes of TV shows with 4 discs per series and 5 or 6 episodes on each disc. Sometimes in scan, it hits glitch and Handbrakes closes. Tonight, the episodes I wanted were first 5 "titles" and it scanned through them with no problem but got stuck on title 18 and closed down without finishing, so DVD can't be encoded. Any way around this? Like maybe delete the extra titles from the files in Video_TS queue or something? Any suggestions would be most welcome!

  • @Blogreader54 You need Vidcoder...it's Handbrake too but it's much easier. It will scan the files without the BS. I be converting movies in just over an hour...Goodfellas didn't take long at all.

  • No Sorce found???? trying to convert .VOB from my Camera ointo MP4 thankx

  • Why do i need to download the VLC ? i've downloaded and opened it 3 times and it still will not check the DVD

  • @jacsoccer46 u downloaded it in the wrong bit. if u did 64bit u need 32bit and visa versa

  • How would I go about doing this if I wanted the DVD to be ripped onto my PC in HQ?

  • gah no ones got Microsoft xp. >.<

  • it says that i need the vlc and i got the 64 bit vlc but it says that it cant find it or that its out of date why is that??

  • which but 64 or 32 mine says i need a vlc

  • we have the same background :)

  • Poor review, you really don't know much about the app and you are teaching on the edge of your knowledge

  • what is VLC?!?!? I have downloaded that application at least 30 times and hand brake keeps telling me it's need it?!?!

  • @ldw2j1124 Its a media player. It reads a whole bunch of video types. And it is a very great application.

  • can you put clips from the movie onto IMovie and edit it, etc. and than post it on Youtube?

  • cant u burn a dvd

  • Hey is that Russell Peters in your video file?

  • i dont know if i'm blind or this video in hd don't look pretty clear.

  • It's the bad video quality, not you. Fuzzy appearance.

  • can you tell me why when i convert a movie the chapters are not in order?

  • what happends if you press " Start" before your mac the ripper is done downloading...?

  • Good help brother!

  • Damn, man, I LOVE your southern drawl. <3

  • does it convert rar format to mp4 format

  • I have no idea but i use "unrar" to convert

    works great very simple too

    Matt

  • @rileyphillips88 .rar means that it's compressed. You'll need to use a extraction program (winrar for example) to extract it. Once you extract it, it should be in some format that handbrake will handle.

  • thanks dude this really helped

  • after it had stopped scanning it said 'no valid source' what does that mean

  • after i've ripped a dvd, how do i then burn it to a blank disc? what is the best way of doing this. i've tried mac the ripper, burn, and handbrake. all to no avail.

  • hey if you want i can make a video on how to do it.

  • Roxio Popcorn is by far the best for mac commercial dvd copying!

  • The quality of your demo is very blurry to see any of the commands on your monitor.

  • love you it worked

  • if i do this, will the actual dvd still work, for example, if i convert it, will i still be able to use the dvd?

  • yes the dvd will still work

    its only copying it

    Matt

  • how long does it roughly take to take a full movie ?

  • there a many factors that determine this. processor and size of movie mainly. if you can tell me this i can give u a rough estimate.

    Matt

  • I have a season dvd and I just want one episode. I'm confused with VTS files. I want to know which file it is

  • you can just covert the whole dvd. then edith it in imovie and keep the episode that you'd like and delete the rest.

  • I did that thanks, but it converts in an m4v format. that's what I want, but I convert it to an mp4. it doesn't recognize the m4v when I use imovie

  • Is there a way to select the widescreen option when you rip the dvd?

  • Does it work if the movie is copyrighted?

  • yes it does worck

  • yes, i just did the original live free or die hard

  • mine wont go onto itunes, it dosent say anything but when i try to open it nothing happens help me please!!!

  • mine says "i need a VLC" what ??

  • vlc is an optional file reader. you can just click force to scan and it will scan.

  • @ThisIsHow2

Just so you can open all kinds of film formats:) it's a necessarily it self

  • @ThisIsHow2 u download the wrong bit version. download the other one. ex. if u got 32bit u need 64bit. if u go 64bit u need 32bit.

  • When a dvd is sent out it is in audio_ts and video_ts formats.

I wanted to edit the dvd.

I was told to use the application "handbrake" to convert the file to m4v format.

iDVD will accept this format and it drops right in to new projects.

My problem is editing the DVD in iMovie, I movie apparently doesn't accept m4v formats.

Can I convert it to another format? If so what program should I use to convert, and to what format is best?

  • I know what im about to say is going completely against what i said to purerawfootage but you might want to try using some of the presets like quicktim, unnder the apple tab

television under the high profile tab or even xbox 360 under the game consoles tab

    Try these

    Matt

  • I would be great if you could zoom in on the tutorial. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • Yeah i know ill try to work on that.

    thanks

    Matt

  • Here's what I do,

Insert DVD, click source and click the DVD.

My my output to desktop. Slick my preset to iPod Touch. and encode.

Once its done, I click play, and it all fuzzy abd blurry and not working.

    Help?

  • I never use the presets

i always use the .m4v setting and it comes up clear all the time.

    Matt
