For what purpose does any religion serve anyone anymore. Primitive people came of with the ideas of different gods causing all the various problems. At the time, thousands of years ago that helped those people coupe with earth quakes, famine, war etc and any other unexplainable stuff that happened to them. The priests and other people running the different religions saw these as big money makers. Over time the young are trained to believe all the stories so it is continued from generation.
Some people that have claimed to be christian just so happened to have been extremely crazy too. This makes christians look bad I know, but don't be so condenming of them. There are more good christians than bad. Christians are people too we make mistakes just like everyone else in this world. Don't let another persons belief make you so angry. In the end you make your own choices and decisions.
Looking at that Westboro Baptist Church with the "God hates you" and "God hates fags"...we have a few groups like them here in VA. Been going to church most of my life and read the bible through at least 3 times. Did these people forget about "Love the sinner, but hate the sin"? That was a law given to the faith by Jesus. God hates no one. He just hates the sin they're committing. These people are probably just like every other fanatic: they like to take one or two parts of the bible out
What these religious zealots don't know is Jesus does not want this shit. He wants us to all get along & love one another whether you are catholic, muslim, spritual, atheist, agnostic, & christian. As long as were not worshipping satan, or killing people. People who street preach, are religious fanatics are no different than kkk members. They are extremist, & also hypocritical. They say one thing, & do the other.
@slayer1613 What you see in these pictures, believe it or not ARE NOT MUSLIMS OR ARABS but they're acting on behalf some Zionist organizations in order to demonize Muslims & their faith .they are posing as Arabs and Muslims and rant about anything 2 creat rift between Muslims & Christians around the world.
Have you noticed the police is standing by when he should be arresting them 4 inciting the Christians
against the Muslims .Arab Men don't use headcover .they all carry the same type Banners.
@slayer1613 Jesus"PB UH" is well loved & respected in Islam & among Muslims and what you see in the pictures are faked arab Muslims who are posing as Muslims in order to inflame the Christian people around the world in order to creat rift between the two religions & you must always ASK ??? who's going 2 benefit from a war between Muslims & Christians ?? my friends,it's the oldest trick in the book to turn one group against the other in order to destroy both your enemies .don't let them GET YOU !
one law for all - definitely sounds like bible prophecy coming true once again- you will be hated among all nations for my names sake jesus said- watch as it all comes together exactly as the bible said and people will still be shaking their fist at God and living in sin. Trying to group all religions into one label - yet they all say different things and only one is right. People mine the scriptures to try to show God in the worst way possible - but their efforts will fail miserably.
@shess0501 extremism in any form is bad ----- and really --- WHY should anyone care what other people believe? Just worry about YOU and everything else will take care of itself --- what a concept :)
Well you see if you had actually read and studied the bible you would know that in fact everything in that video was in deed wrong and was "religion". It was not true faith in Christ, (true Christianity,) The bible states how to deal with someone or some thing that does not line up with biblical truths and refuses. Simply put it out of your home. And continue to live your life the God said, (Mathew 18:15 Luke 17:3) No where is it condoned to kill some one for their actions. Yes let faith lead
Beliving in a religon is fine, but when you use that religion as a justification for murder then it becomes a dangerous weapon. In my opinion, (which let me remind everyone is my right to have and express) religion has become nothing more then a tool people use for justifying murder and their own superiority , how many people look down on others because they don't have the same beliefs and in extreme cases kill them for it. Religion is dangerous, not to mention the greatest lie ever conceived.
However sad religious fanaticism is it doesn't begin to compare to the one hundred million people killed by Secular Humanism (Atheism and Agnosticism) in just the last 70 years. Atheism and agnosticism are the side effects of not being mentally sound. Please comment I'd love to have an earnest debate with you.
10seb101. Likewise, you have come to the right place, now then, lets begin shall we straight away, give me an example (make it good) of something that atheism has caused attrocities for in it's name. You might want to watch one of me debunking videos before getting started because you will have a difficult time with me when debating. If your gonna go an about starlin, hitler and po, your gonna lose in a flash. I look forward to this very much :) Bring it
Thanx man lol, yeah. Well non life to life is an oversimplified question designed to confuse, this is easy enough to a certain degree because we dont have all the answers in science and we admit that. Life is a set of chemical processes organised to make an enclosed ecosystem that needs its environment, chemical reactions had been happening long before life itself. If you were to fill the gaps with god, i could ask how you know god made life from non life exactly, you wouldnt know that either.
I am actually making a video atm and i live in Britain so our time is later, as i write this its already gone 8.30pm, i do plan to stay up late so please let me know when you are ready and hopefully im still on.
Yeah im on bud, very tired but you caught me just b4 i was about to go, would you like to respond to my comment about your first so we dont get confused, sorry man, you seem polite enough, i thought you might of been a sock account of someone ive been arguing with over the last few days, he was illiterate, your fine so im ok.
Alright. I'll be honest Christianity does not have all the answers either. I also agree that both sides are working towards what ever human on earth craves. Truth. I think we're on the same page here right?
It's alright lol, ill be making more mistakes in my writing tonight, im drinking lots of coke in order to stay awake lol. I hope i make sense when i write, just let me know if i confuse you.
In truth we have our mysteries but whats different is our approach and styles with which we explain the great mysteries. Yes life and the universe are mega questions. Sometimes people tell me they believe in god because science doesnt know why the universe got here, then i ask how did got here, they dont know, so i ask again, why say god did it, for us in science "god did it" is a statement and not an answer, we also like evidence, but bronze age books dont fall into that category lol.
I have heard random arguments here and there but i am very good at spotting contradictions, my RE teacher hated me at school years ago lol. I have been debating for a while and so have had the practise also, i mainly deal with people who are somewhat, well, different than you lol
Understandable. There are many people on both side that make earnest debating a name calling war that's hardly conducive to either side. But thats besides the point. The cosmological arguement is essentially trying to demonstrate how the concept of God without 'a priori' or independent of experience is able to prove God exists. Any questions before I elaborate?
I think i know how it goes, i dont believe in war over silly issues because one thinks they know the truth more than others. I think people should go with what the evidence tells us and thats what i follow. Do you have any training within science in higher education, mainly biology and genetics maybe. What your talking about is how god can come into existance to then create the universe?
Yes I study microbiology as my degree actually and philosophy just a minor of mine. But no I'm not talking about how God came into existence. Nor will this arguement prove that the Christian God exist. It is merely an arguement of monotheism (one God). Would you like to hear it?
microbiology you lucky man lol. If a god exists then it is no ones god really and mankind would have completely the wrong idea, but i dont believe it exists whatsoever, but of course i am willing to listen to your side of the debate, the good thing is i aint biased lol so please tell me.
I like you it's so hard to debate people who don't listen to anything. Ok now. This arguement is six steps long and I'll stop at each step and explain it. It goes in the order of 'arguement' then 'justification' for each step. They can be hard to grasp sometimes. Lol
May i add a few points with each section, like with this one, you said its the general accepted definitiion of god, but if he is not conceivable then how could he be conceived in the first place.
Sort of it is logically coherent to be able to wrap your mind around something like omnipresent. Something like a square circle on the other hand is something not able to be coherently conceptualized. Understandable?
sort of lol, but my point would be that something that you admit to to actually existing in all worlds would have a physical effect n these worlds and our own laws of physics within this universe, ie he should be detectable.
Sorry but if its not for him to be conceived because of the fact he is present in all worlds then how does something like a human brain find the unconceivable that a machine cannot detect ? Sorry go on with you explanation
Thats really your philosophical side thats conceiving such an assumption. So by this, humans exist necessarily because we have a purpose, what happens to god if his work is done and his existance becomes unecessary.
So this wouldnt apply to the needy existance of a god in order to create a universe for reason. Im sorry, i answer alot of questions lol, but i go through things carefully as you can see lol.
And I commend you for thinking through these. But I'm not quite sure what your asking? If your asking if this argument proves the Christian God then no. This specific argument doesn't do that. I'm not sure thats what you asked?
No i wasnt asking about the christian god as such but applying the fact you told that step 3 does not apply to a god as such, usually when i hear this sort of argument, the next thing i would get is that the universe needs a reason to exist and poof there is god lol.
yeah lol, ill let you move and and ill readdress my point later if its needed anyway mate, but ill listen and comment on step 4 then i need to go because my eyes are burning staring at a 50 inch tv as a monitor in the early hours when ive been on it all day lol
That'll burn your eyes out. But I'll finish this debate with you tomorrow if you have some time. But if that doesn't work I'm free to talk all weekend.
yeah it does lol, will speak tomos, ill be here for sure. I sent you a friend invite because you are a rare theist to debate, one who knows how to write for a start as well as knowing more than counting past his fingers lol. Thanks again for the discussion, its one of the best and most interesting ive ever had.
because its entailed by step 3 does that mean this also doesnt apply to god or am i mistaken. I am confused by this one, not thats its just late for me lol but how it sounds for which i probably have the wrong assumption. That just because we canot conceive means it dont exist, well yeah in that case but because we cannot conceive an idea does not mean it exists by necessity.
Your a guy of science, microbiology you say, but we are on different parameters here lol, but you must understand the scientific method for testing and how peer reviews are established and processed. What would stand is evidence, saying god isnt detectable is what we call an opt out, a flinch from the responsibility of the claimer. I hope you can see this position i take and i think your smart enough to. I need to go but i will be back on tomorrow at the same time m8, thanks for the real debate.
the world has no room for weak mother fuckers u get brain washed by these freaks u die well great its called population control the children is what realy hurts they rely on their parents so sad
Obviously ignoring Matthew 4, this world is run by Satan and those in power do his work. The Waco was caused by the government. At least get your facts right. Instead of instilling propoganda to suit your own wayward agenda.
its funny because the murder rate is higher in the bible belt and middle eastern countries and in generally secular governed countries like norway, france, denmark, and sweden the murder and overall crime rate is lower
@HapPyDong746 that'd be a bit difficult, youcan't get rid of all the nutters.Better to keep educating the public with alternatives like freethinking ,develop the ability to see thru the rubbish sprouted. You only have a short existence on this planet, make the most of it.
good video at first. however, I don't like 5:26 because that is a sick mind control technique (if you didn't know). Also, the difference between fag-haters and islamic fundementalists is that the latter want to kill much more people (again, if you didn't know).
I was raised Buddhist but now I am more of a humanist. But a lot of the principles of the two line up anyway. Maybe religion was necessary to keep people in line during the dark ages with the fear of hell, but do we really need so much of it now? I doubt it.
You wake up. You don't know it IS, because you have never been dead. Unless you are a Buddhist, in which case you believe you have been dead many, many times. :D
You don't follow my religion and I probably don't follow yours. Let's leave it at that.
As I have learned, people can not be judged based on what their religion (or lack thereof) is. Some atheists are terrible people, some Muslims are fanatics, some Christians are ignorant, but some atheists are wonderful people, some Muslims are just like you and I, and some Christians are open minded and caring. Not all religious people act like Fred Phelps.
good vid man. thank everything sacred for our constitution to separate church and state. hopefully itll remain that way. otherwise id pack my shit and go to canada!
Religion is the opiate of the masses. Your video displays the symptoms of advanced stages of this addiction. Your video also illustrates that many people have died from overdoses of religion.
On his deathbed Muhammad urged his followers not to remain idle, and exhorted them to push on and continue their jihad to conquest. He told them he desired to conquer the world, but that since he could not longer do it, they should fulfill his dream....
For Muslims life is cheap, they have no conscience and all that matters is to win their quest for world domination.
It is a mistake to think of Islam as a religion. If Islam is a religion, then so was Nazism, so is communism, Satanism etc. Religion is supposed to unite and enlighten mankind which Islam completely fails to do. There is no moderate Muslim. All are subject to Jihad.
well, islam is a religion like it or not, and its a perfect example of religion, just as christianity (crusades) and judaism (occupation of palestine), all of them violent and based on desert barbaric laws and fairy tales, religion cannot "enlighten" people, instead it allows anyone to justify atrocities in the name of "god", slows scientific progress, confronts and divides live beings, you think that about muslims and they think the same about you, the fact is religion is just a delusion
That was powerfully moving...wow. Fanaticism of any kind should be considered should be considered maddness by all. There is no justifying the acts groups like these commit...it is unpardonable. thankfully most people fall within the moderate to apathetic range...not neccessarilly the best numbers but they will have to do. Peace.
For what purpose does any religion serve anyone anymore. Primitive people came of with the ideas of different gods causing all the various problems. Do we want religion to rule the world, although it controls a vast majority of our laws and ways, i mean, why else would the world be so screwed up.
I would love to see religion classed a mental illness that it is, but that would cause alot of mass religious madness and chaos.

I'll be back in a few hours. At six tonight if you want to debate. I look forward to talking with you. You seem intelligent enough.
10seb101 2 years ago
Thanx man lol, yeah. Well non life to life is an oversimplified question designed to confuse, this is easy enough to a certain degree because we dont have all the answers in science and we admit that. Life is a set of chemical processes organised to make an enclosed ecosystem that needs its environment, chemical reactions had been happening long before life itself. If you were to fill the gaps with god, i could ask how you know god made life from non life exactly, you wouldnt know that either.

10seb101 2 years ago
no worries, fire away m8
01101100d 2 years ago
This is the first step:
"Argument"
1. God is that which nothing greater can be conceived.
"Justification"
Generally accepted definition of God.
10seb101 2 years ago
May i add a few points with each section, like with this one, you said its the general accepted definitiion of god, but if he is not conceivable then how could he be conceived in the first place.
01101100d 2 years ago
Thats the next step so I'll go onto that. Good eyes. Lol
10seb101 2 years ago
oh cool ok lol
01101100d 2 years ago
Step 2:
"Argument"
It is possible to conceive of a being who exists necessarily-that is, who exists in all possible worlds.
"Justification"
Any coherent conceptualization is possible.
10seb101 2 years ago
so basically by being omnipresent, just making sure i understand your points :)
01101100d 2 years ago
Sort of it is logically coherent to be able to wrap your mind around something like omnipresent. Something like a square circle on the other hand is something not able to be coherently conceptualized. Understandable?
10seb101 2 years ago
sort of lol, but my point would be that something that you admit to to actually existing in all worlds would have a physical effect n these worlds and our own laws of physics within this universe, ie he should be detectable.
01101100d 2 years ago
It is not necessary for him to be detected because he is what nothing greater can be conceived. Perhaps the next step will help.
10seb101 2 years ago
Sorry but if its not for him to be conceived because of the fact he is present in all worlds then how does something like a human brain find the unconceivable that a machine cannot detect ? Sorry go on with you explanation
01101100d 2 years ago
Step 3:
"Argument"
A being who exists necessarily is superior to a being that does not exist necessarily.
"Justification"
Necessary existence is a maximal excellence; it is superior to contingent existence.
10seb101 2 years ago
Thats really your philosophical side thats conceiving such an assumption. So by this, humans exist necessarily because we have a purpose, what happens to god if his work is done and his existance becomes unecessary.
01101100d 2 years ago
There was nothing about God in that step. It simply states that necessary existence is superior to contingent existence.
10seb101 2 years ago
So this wouldnt apply to the needy existance of a god in order to create a universe for reason. Im sorry, i answer alot of questions lol, but i go through things carefully as you can see lol.
01101100d 2 years ago
And I commend you for thinking through these. But I'm not quite sure what your asking? If your asking if this argument proves the Christian God then no. This specific argument doesn't do that. I'm not sure thats what you asked?
10seb101 2 years ago
No i wasnt asking about the christian god as such but applying the fact you told that step 3 does not apply to a god as such, usually when i hear this sort of argument, the next thing i would get is that the universe needs a reason to exist and poof there is god lol.
01101100d 2 years ago
No this argument is very specific just to prove the existence of God. But I'll move on and I'll give step 4.
10seb101 2 years ago
yeah lol, ill let you move and and ill readdress my point later if its needed anyway mate, but ill listen and comment on step 4 then i need to go because my eyes are burning staring at a 50 inch tv as a monitor in the early hours when ive been on it all day lol

Thanks again for the discussion, its one of the best and most interesting ive ever had.
01101100d 2 years ago
You here?
10seb101 2 years ago
Step 4:
"Argument"
That which nothing greater can be conceived must exist necessarily.
"Justification"
Entailed by step 3.
10seb101 2 years ago
because its entailed by step 3 does that mean this also doesnt apply to god or am i mistaken. Obviously ignoring Matthew 4, this world is run by Satan and those in power do his work. The Waco was caused by the government. At least get your facts right. Instead of instilling propoganda to suit your own wayward agenda.

I think any religious fanatic in position of power should be politically assassinated for the good of the world

its funny because the murder rate is higher in the bible belt and middle eastern countries and in generally secular governed countries like norway, france, denmark, and sweden the murder and overall crime rate is lower

I doubt it.

how do you know hell is not real? wake up
TURNTOCHRIST 2 years ago
You wake up. You don't know it IS, because you have never been dead. Unless you are a Buddhist, in which case you believe you have been dead many, many times. :D
You don't follow my religion and I probably don't follow yours. Let's leave it at that.

we're in hell right now

As I have learned, people can not be judged based on what their religion (or lack thereof) is. Some atheists are terrible people, some Muslims are fanatics, some Christians are ignorant, but some atheists are wonderful people, some Muslims are just like you and I, and some Christians are open minded and caring. Not all religious people act like Fred Phelps.

All are subject to Jihad.
rockchickhoney 3 years ago
well, islam is a religion like it or not, and its a perfect example of religion, just as christianity (crusades) and judaism (occupation of palestine), all of them violent and based on desert barbaric laws and fairy tales, religion cannot "enlighten" people, instead it allows anyone to justify atrocities in the name of "god", slows scientific progress, confronts and divides live beings, you think that about muslims and they think the same about you, the fact is religion is just a delusion

Peace.
