@TheMetalblade actuly mine work fine. the only thing is when i instal vista on it with bootcamp it started flicking. so i unstall it and waiting for a solution
Hum, for $2200 dollars spend, you get to take part in Apple's 1st gen 27" experiment. Or, build yourself a stable Core2Duo Hackintosh for half as much.
@matg41192200 BSOD was added mainly so that over-clocking (you can look up what that means later if you use a Mac) will not damage hardware due to heat or power consumption.
@kiashadowwave There are several reasons why a windows computer would receive a BSOD - Overclocking is not the only cause. I remember several of my teachers with 'new' hardware experiencing BSODs during powerpoint presentations. Several HP laptops cannot get into SATA mode, and receive BSODs as users try to load Windows XP onto it.
flickier flicker flicker. Ja da flickert er endlich wieder der jute alde macundtosch.Und sag mal hatt es sich den gelohnt für das geflickere 2000€ auszugeben?
The iMacs ATI video card is literally cooking inside a poorly ventilated case and screen flicker is the result. ATI video cards notoriously run hot even in a well ventilated case. To say ATI's need extra ventilation is an understatement.
ive had mine 2 weeks and it started doing this, not that consistant, maybe once everytime im on it. ill wait a few weeks till they actually fix the problem to send it in.
Well, got a phone call today from Domayne, who said they spoke to their Apple rep. Bad news they tell me. No delivery until mid January 2010!!
The reason??
Apple is having major hardware problems with the graphics card of this model and are not shipping any more until the problem is resolved. So they have actually admitted to a problem!
Domayne tell me even their display model plays up all day with the screen flickering and blacking out.
wow thats weird! thats why u shouldnt trust such stock monitors from apple or other pc manufacturers. try asus monitors, should work well on macs though.
Mine has flickered three times in the last 6 days, all minor like at 0:18 but it's going back for a REFUND regardless. Apple has NOT fixed this issue yet so an exchange is pointless.
Yeah mine flickers constantly and also the screen blacks out completely for a split second whilst i'm using it! Really annoying! At first I thought it was a problem connected to the wireless mouse system, but obviously not?! My screen is flickering so much, watching your video, that I can't work out if i'm seeing your flickers or mine!!!!

the video card is not powerful enough to render that many pixels. That's the reality.
ImperialArmour 10 months ago
@ImperialArmour That's why most of the same iMacs render it without any problem.

Fix for this problem: Don't get a mac.

@otyroo2 *Points to BSOD* There is a reason that Microsoft includes the blue screen of death in every operating system which they provide :)

They fixed the error with a software update, I though it was a hardware problem.
IMPMAC 2 years ago
@IMPMAC the update does nothing..the problem supposedly is with a cable connection

Cable connection? So hitting it might fix it

Yeah. But idk. At least all these replacements will force them to respond and fix this issue. So far, they're quite as hell.

Same problem with my new (3 day old) 27" quad-core iMac. Problem did not occur yesterday when I worked on it most of day.

jake302010431 2 years ago
No doubt. You should contact Apple and get that replaced. It doesn't look like a software issue where an update down the line will help you out.

Yes, I have the Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540)
