@MarshallRoberts Hmm... Look for the cheapest hi-gain tube amplifier. They have a lot of gain for metal and if you play around with the bass and mid EQ you'll get a sweet ass stoner sound. Or then get a cheap tube amp and buy an overdrive/distortion pedal seperate.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have one of these babys and it sounds ace. It's deffinatly suitable for your classic rock AC/DC stuff. I play alternative rock and punk rock with it and it sounds great.

All footswitches are the same, so there is no problem in using a fender switch for an orange amp, etc.

dude nice playing!!! im looking at getting an orange tube amp. i make original classic rock music(60's and 70's kind of stuff) and play zeppelin a lot i was wondering if u could get some good zeppelin tones out of this amp?and other bands like cream?

OH YEAH! You name it! Zeppelin, Sabbath, Cream, The Sex Pistols, BB King, psychedelic and the list goes on! Metal is something you can't play on this though. This IS what the amp was built for in the first place, so YES! I was just giving out an example for a rare genre :D

What do you like better, this amp or your brother's Rockerverb 50? I have the unique problem of having to choose between them both.

I like mine more since it has more overdrive to it. My brother's Rockerverb 100 has more of a distorted tone to it. Metal is something you CAN play with a rockerverb but not on my one. Mine is 100% overdrive. Distortion pedals will work but I'm not a distortion kinda guy. I use fuzz pedals if I wanna crank up even more drive.

I like mine better... Which is funny because the rockerverb has more variety. Mine just has overdrive and a clean tone you could doodle up with the knobs. My one handles fuzz A LOT better than a Rockerverb.

Marshall is way more popular but I can't say which is better. Marshall has a bigger variety of amps so technically they're better. I haven't tried too many Marshalls yet. About 5 so far. Fender makes some of the best too, but that depends. If it's a proper tube Fender, it'll sound AMAZING.

because it's in the capital and It is way to far and not safe to take it (Mexico, beautiful country... horrible insecurity!) and because it's powerfull and she is living in an allowance/pension of nuns and you cannot make much noise so they cannot pray Dx

i have this same setup and it is great amp. i use channel one for overdrive/distortion and channel 2 for clean. its a very warm amp. i love it. has a lot of balls for an EL84 amp

Oh awesome! I'll be using channel two for clean too. In fact I like this more than the Rockerverb since this has a proper overdrive and this one doesn't let you do that metal palm muting shit.
