  • great job! and extra points for wearing a helmet!

  • Always feels good to Gallop Fast Bareback on a TB =)

  • I have a Mustang/Paso Fino/possibly arabian. he is 4. he has a nice canter and gallop. (or so says his trainer) do you think that he would be a good jumper?

  • @polkaspots202 i like your french lololololol! while this is a great argument, i do see your error, as you did point it out. a simple type mistake, thats all! everyone on here should not have trolled on and on because you simply posted a comment as to how you ride and they dont agree. Maybe they keep their heads straight with the horses neck, whilst you and I do not! I do not want my nose busted. so when i lean more into a jump, i do place my head to the side! As do you. Cheerio!

  • @codyisamazing202 thanks! I dont know why these youtube people want everyone to ride one way: their way! Some people ride different, and maybe we do or just learned this technique at a clinic or something. I learnedthis so i wont break my nose. thanks!

  • ur a gr8 rider

  • hes a gorgeous horse and your a good rider!! (:

  • what breed of horse is that?

  • @simongirl911 He's a TB

  • pay no attention to that idiot "polkaspots" (cant even get that right, its polkadots lol)

you always look and keep your head straight ahead to where youre going. Some people lol!

  • @no1horselover uhm no shit its polkadots.... its called a joke because spots are the same as dots so get over it and get a brain that can figure out stuff like that okay??

  • @polkaspots202 me get a brain! its you that thinks youre supposed to put youre head to one side when jumping a horse, and how is she supposed to use a martingale when riding bareback! If thats your knowledge about horses then youve got no right to be near one.

  • @no1horselover okay so i made a mistake which i already pointed out myself. leave me alone okay? i cleared up what i said so u can leave me alone. i never said to use a martin gale bareback, obviously you cant... i have plenty of right to be near horses, i train them. you dont put it to the side, you put it to the side of their neck so you dont fucking break your nose. im not dumb, i train lots of horses and do prelim/training. get an effin life.

  • @polkaspots202 made a mistake lol! you made more than one fucking mistake, more like 3 or 4. Like I said if thats your knowledge on horses you shouldnt be let near them. And going by the comments there are plenty out there who agree with me. Now fuck off loser.

  • @polkaspots202 sorry but you train horses ? i dont think they grant a trainers licience to children not in this country they dont or any country your either a very little child or not right in the head , appolgies if your not the full shilling but you shouldnt be on the computer talking shite what sort of a licence do you hold , what do you train im interested are you a permit holder , or do you hold a public licience , ?

  • @irishforfecksake yeah i do and im sorry to point this out, but im 29 XD. awkward. i hold LICENSE's (spell it right) for teaching lessons, owning and running a horse stable, and my trainers license.

  • @polkaspots202 You FRUIT LOL train frogs to hop maybe , licence spelt wrong awe didums get a life , teaching you need a certificate here your certifiable alright now quit trolling please , do me a favour and go away im fed up looking at your stupid childish comments in my inbox weeks later troll someone else ,i will not answer you so say what you like , have a nice life telling everyone how wonderful you are slainte mar amadan is shea tu

  • @no1horselover i never said to use a martingale when bareback! you cant! i simply suggested some and i never said to turn your head around. put it the side of their neck so that you dont a get a ficking busted nose.

  • @polkaspots202 Your a perfect CABBAGE will you piss of commenting on a comment i made months ago head on one side learn to ride ya mutt head on one side id love to put you on one of the horses we ride and put your big thick head out the side hopefully it would knock a bit of sense in ya , read a book and troll round the place nuisance go awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @irishforfecksake OMG would everyone just read what i meant to say, not what i did say? for godsake, get a brain and do more research before jumping on people. I apoligized like a thousand times and this has been solved between me and the uploader, no need to get involved. I MADE A MISTAKE, NO ONE IS PERFECT, GET A LIFE YOU PUDDING CUP, SNAK PAK, FRUIT CUP! (sorry thats waht i say....)

  • true the tossing of the head is a bad habit but to me it just looks like he's excited! he's like "yea im gonna jump some jumps today and look like a total bad ass to impress that other horse." i thought it was cute :)

  • i luv horses

  • your horse is gorgeous (:

  • oh gosh i am sorry i worded the whole head to side thing. I mean if you dont wanna break your nose, as in decription (yes i read descriptions cause im a loser:)) and there is no matringale handy, or your bareback, instead of jumping how you should, put your head to side of his neck when you go forward into half seat. i am sorry i worded it wrong, but dont a brat and cause a dispute, i just apoligized for my mistake

  • @Vallie2266 Haha thank you---I'm not gutsy enought to jump big, I do the ameteur owner hunters at 3'6 and thats plenty big for me!

  • @1237horse yes absolutely!

  • aw, lucky you have a big area to ride your horse in... sadly i have a backyard big enough for three dogs (not long at all!)

  • omg, i can't even ride that well with a saddle, girth etc. on, and your bareback!! well maybe its because i ride a 4 year old who is learning to jump and is lazy :)

  • Pretty horse and amazing rider :) comment on my videos :)

  • you might wanna loosen up a little on his reins. he seems to be throwing his head a bit. Great Job tho!!

  • @neenee1997 he threw his head because he had ulcers...we treated them...if you read the description on the video you would've known that.

  • @stuckonrewind I was just trying to put in my opinion... : /

  • nice!

  • hey , i dont realy jump for show or anything , but erm how is jumping wothout a martingale dangerous? im sure it is i just need soemone to tell me why haha. and also are ulcers dangerous? like what could happen???

  • @XxRisingVelocityxX if the horse threw his head up over the jump or he got a long distance, the horses neck or even head could hit your nose and could break it.

  • @LoveCedar1 ouch! ok thanks for telling me!

  • This is really good. What should i do if I want to take up jumping, other than talk to my trainer? Would a 15.4 hands Quarter Horse work for Jumping? Or should I use my 19 year old Dresage Throughbred? I really think that your jumping looked good.

  • @hobbyhorsegirl jump them both with the guidance of a trainer and find out which one has a better aptitude for jumping

  • woah your such a good rider! look at you! your amazing! believe you me, if i rode like that, i wouldnt be able to count up the strides 'till the horse took off, woah. well done! so added to faves!!!

  • I always jump with a martingale, like you. My mum is a proffesional trainer, she used to compete about 1.40 m.

I totaly agree with you on the martingale thing :P

    Nice btw :)

  • awesome ridin n reali pwitty/cute horse

  • my horse can jump 5 foot and neva wears martingale and infact hes not even a horse but an 11.2 pont mnm so u dnt need a martingale to jump xx

  • i'd love to ride bareback, could you give me some tips? x

  • aww he's so pretty. You have a really good seat! I love it! And I'm glad everything was fixed with the Ulcers and the foot problem. You have great control and you are a great rider!!!

  • Your very good :). cheak out my videos. & also i know what you mean about the martingale, i don't ride without one either unless bareback. but yeah you look good (: x

  • Lookz Liike Fun! Im Such a chicken..Im scared to jump bareback cuz My horse Zee Is so Unpredictable! [how ever you spell it]...But Looks Like Great Fun! X]

  • Good job..! I look like crap when i ride bare back. hahah

I love your horse , he is cutee

  • Bareback Jumping!! i love that! its fun and Everything! I do bareback jumping alot on my Horse Abigail :P Good video Two thumbs up!

  • you look great!! I wish I could jump bareback...

  • omg my horse throws his head like that!!! have a look at my vid !!!

  • Never do an extended trot bareback! Ouch!!!!!!

  • He is a Beautiful Horse!! You make riding Bareback so easy

  • omg, my horse also only flip his head when i ride bareback d:

and i must say, i really am jealous of you, you must have a wonderful balance! (:

  • this is beautiful riding. i am glad you are a nice down to earth rider. i wish i could have a horse but i dont yet. if you hate stupid riders that are snobby and try and give you "critique" then thumbs up! they are just showing off to the internet they could be really bad riders that are clueless. haha they probs are if they are stupid enough to suggest a martingale for bareback. to all u snobs, GET OVER YOURSELF AND LEARN ABOUT RIDING BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING STUPID AND EMBARASS YOURSELF!

  • @KatVanilly hahah thank you! I don't think I'm amazing but I have a trainer to improve my riding I don't need youtubers who are not professionals to do that! ahha I'm glad you agree!

  • I love your info bit, so true. I hate people who 'crit' on videos, when all you want to do is share what we all share, a passion for horses, I don't understand people, there is no need to be bitchy, or judgemental, that's what gives us 'horse riders' this 'stuck up' stereotype, when we're not. You're an amazing rider, and seem to know what you are doing! Keep at it! x

  • @polkaspots202 Placing your head on the side is considered a bad habit to some people. So before going off telling someone else what they should do with their riding, please think about it. Going to the side can throw your horse off balance.

  • @polkaspots202 I don't really understand what you mean about putting your head off to the side...I've always heard youre supposed to look where youre going lol. When you look where youre going you shift your weight to where you want your horse to go so that you get to the right place at the right time. I do hunters and equitation...you can't use a running martingale in the overfences classes of the hunters. You're kind of ignorant.

  • @stuckonrewind omg everyone! i already cleared up what i said, so stop writing the same thing! i said that wrong, i was saying that when you ride with a saddle, you lean into the jump more and if you keep you head exactly centereed, you will break your nose! put it to the side of your horse neck!!!

  • Good job! :)

  • haha nice vid. i like what you said about you pay someone for their opinion about your horse. sooooo true!

  • Your a pretty good jumper

  • i just learned to canter and now im working on jumping atm im jumping 40 cm its soo fun but i cant ride chookems bare back cause he has a bony back but yer thats cool i want to learn how to do that

  • I think you did great. I LOVE jumping bareback. its so much fun. Your horse is really pretty too.

  • great job!!

  • really good xx i subbed sub back maybe x

  • That was so beautiful! Nice riding, your horse is gorgeous! You guys make a great pair.

  • it could be more thrilling if she di it bridleless. it rilly fun and supper thrilling

  • wow! you're really good!

  • i think martingals are only for some horses its not dangerous but a standing martingal is very dangerous to jump with

  • he is so cute! your a good rider!

  • i would think you were good if you did something more exsreme.

  • @lizlawson1 wow wat have u done more extreme than that!?

  • omg your great!!! just dont listen to anyone that says you should use a martingale because , your right , were ar you gonna attach it to????

  • Usually, not all the time, when they are tossing their head like that, you might be holding the reins to tight or you might need a martingale. lol my pony did that for a while, but we cut his habit. nice riding tho!

  • Awesome job!! =) My horse is amazing jumper with a saddle on her back...bareback is a whole different story...Haha. I have the exact same martingale problem with her too. I dont jump without it its my favourite piece of tack and the most useful lol =)

  • Thats like such a beautiful place to ride! I wish I lived there. :)

  • u r a very good barback rider

  • ha i just realized EVERY riding vid on youtube has some people who are like "u cant ride u suck" and some people like "whoo hoo u tell 'um!" lol i think ur an awesome rider

  • wow! some of you guys posting the comments are so stupid. how would she even use a martingale while riding bareback!

  • @thehorseduo i agree xD

  • its true you do have a pretty farm good job

  • great!

  • wow!

    ur amzing abreback!

  • beautiful horse and great job riding him/her and beautiful horse too!

  • haha i just said beautiful horse twice, lol im stupid! XD =D

  • i think some of the advice given was actually very valid. but like you said, this video is very old and you solved the problem. plus, you know your horse better than anyone else does. keep going girl!

  • WOW! your a good jumper, the last time i tryed to jump bareback, my horse tryed to buck, but that was only with a halter, i will try with a bridle next time lol. she will listen to me more.

nice farm! i wish i could live on a property like that. but i can only dream, i hav to agist :'(

  • at least u have a horse

  • wow great job i could never jump bareback..it looks so scary.luv ur farm its beautiful:D

  • Pretty jumping:]

  • awesome horse great rider cool farm lol u can say somethin bad

  • wow! you'r great! and i have never seen such a beautiful farm before!

  • Ok. I didnt mean to sound disrespectful... I apoligize. I was meening to be as nice as I could...

  • You should loosen up on your raghns just a LITTLE bit! He/she was flaring his head a lot... But your really good! :D

  • No disrespect but if you'd read my video info it says why his flipping his head...and if my reins were any longer i wouldn't have any control...i tend to ride with my reins too long not too short.

  • i wouldnt say ur reins were too short at all... compared to me you do ride relatively long... but everybody rides different and nobody is perfect... lovely horse!!! keep it up!! x

  • @unbreakablesins

    You mean Reins"?

  • nice riding i subbed please sub back!

  • Dont listen to the martingle comment , becouse if you are bare back you cant wear them lol , i think you did really well :)

  • ure AMAZING at jumping bareback :) how old is ur horse he/shes Stunning

  • Is ur horse a standardbred,he looks like one of mine

  • He's actually a tb, but he is built a little up hill

  • i agree, try a breast collar. of course, then you have to ride with more artificial aids and have less control of the horse

  • it either stops the horse from rearing or it stops it from throwing its head up

  • your a awesome rider!! you should come and check out my eq. contest!!

  • BEAUTIFUL horse! but it's not dangerous to jump with out a martingale over two six, i jump four four without one

  • AWESOME! :D

That was great! You are really good!:)

And bareback is sooo much fun!

    :) Loved the video!

  • Awesome job!! i remember when I would jump "2'3"-"2'6" bareback!! Bareback is always really fun!

  • wow! your realy good =)

i done this 4 the first time ever 2 days ago :) a vid of t's on my page, i fell of 4 times :L:L:L 2 of em r caught on thee video lol :L

  • your good

  • i can not jummp bareback at all .but i can canter and jump.your ausome

  • i dont get why you say it can be dangerous to jump without a martingale. Why do you need one? I jump my horse all the time, i have had her for not quite a year (she is my first horse too) and i dont have a martingale. We have jumped up to 1m at the moment (3ft2in) see my vids, although i dont have one of us jumping 1m yet, might do that soon.

  • because if your horse gets into a bad distance they balance with their head and neck and they could jerk it up and hit you in the nose over higher jumps. Thats what I was always taught.

  • by into a bad distance you mean like when they are out of stride to the jump? If that happens to bubbles she usually jumps from a stride away from the jump but she hasn't seemed to need to re-balance her self yet for jumps. btw, i have never been taught, i dont have a trainer or anything so yea as you can tell i dont know a lot in this aspect.

hmm, might look into getting a martingale soon though

  • @stuckonrewind i thought a martingale was used to stop us yanking on there mouths meh i dnt no haha iv never used one so far but i hav only jumped 3ft3 so far and will get one for my own horse when i get one :)

  • @Horseloverkooder definately wouldn't keep you from pulling on them. A standing martingale hooks from the nose band to the girth...it has nothing to do with the bit or your reins.

  • @stuckonrewind so your saying that you should have one on cause you could get hit in the nose when your horse is trying to balance... so you hold his/her haed down so they cant hit you but they could become off balance and fall... id think that would cause a few more problems then a possible broken nose.

your a good rider though and i love your horse

  • @cutie231291 a martingale used properly would not cause a horse to fall....I think thats what you're trying to say and that is definately incorrect. Normally i use a martingale on this horse to gentle correct where he holds his head and its better for him not to hold it so high and better for me when I'm jumping bigger so I don't get whacked in the face by his neck

  • @stuckonrewind what I was saying wasn't to be mean about your riding or w/e i just saw somewhere something about fixed martingales and I just meant that they are not good for showjumping cause i have seen some really bad fall from the horses head being held down by them and when the horse was wrong into the jump it couldn't correct itself.

  • @hothorseridagalholly

i think it depends on the horse.

my horses never put their heads up like this. but i know a horse whic broke his riders nose..

    and: sorry im austrian ;)

  • i was gonna ask about the head thing but then i read your thingo lol

    it was well said :)

    gorgeous place!

  • Great job! your an amazing jumper! much better than me lol.

  • thats awsome riding whenever i ride bareback i fall off lol great job

  • I can barely canter over a pole bareback! Great! 5 STARS :)

  • o wow ur an amazing rider. I can ride bareback but my horse gets a little hard to handle so its hard to ride bareback on him. great job riding :)

  • wow you are one good rider:) well done

  • good job great farm wow

  • beautiful horse, and farm. you are one lucky rider, i would do anything to ride my horse whenever i wanted, unfortunately i live about 20 minz from my horse ):

    great riding (: xo

  • well, you realize whoever said the martingale- you dont have to have one on when you jump, i lease a thoroughbred, who is perfectly fine when jumping without a martingale- gosh peopl can be dumb, and by the way- I thought you looked great! (:

  • how can i get my horse to stop refusing jumps???

  • just start small and keep you leg on, once he/she can jump the small ones without refusing take it up gradually and soon he'll be fine.

  • Try doing some free-jumping, you need strong legs and a soft hand, try lunging as much as possible. Get a trainer to assist you if you aren't expirienced.

  • nice course, lead change, control, etc. hes a really well trained horse

  • WOW your farm is GORGEOUS,

so is your horse!!!!! youre so lucky : ) : )

    great job

  • Hahaa, i didnt even see the comment when dsomeone said to wear a martingale..but tbh if they think thatt theree abit stupidd coz like the other person said your not wearin a saddle :L somee silly peoplee lol, beauiful horse :D and your a really good rider :D

  • nice job nice seat n the head fliping does not seem to bother u or throw u off

  • uhmmm not every horse wheres a martingale over 2'6 fences xD... it all depends on the horse and its tack, or does every jumper at spruce medows and other upper level shows have martingales ? some even ride with hackamores (sp is wrong i know lol)

  • Once again idc what you and your horse do, or what your trainer tells you. Thats FINE but I really couldn't care less. I know not EVERY horse wears one---all of mine do. That's that. Idc about your barn, your horse, your trainer, or your tack.

  • Ok i dont want to sound stupid cause ive been raised around horses all my life but has never really jumped more than small things, but whats a martingale?

  • a piece of equipment that goes around their neck and then attached from the nose band to the girth (a standing martingale, different types attach differently). It keeps them from raising their head up really high, but if worn correctly, generally isnt very restrictive.

  • wow! I just leanred so much XD and Whoo ever said u need to wear a martingal is dumb, did they not relize your bareback? haha Graeat riding! Awesome horse too!=D What kind is he/ she?

  • He's a TB--and thnx!

  • Hes so Perty! I would love to jump a horse like that! lol And no problem!=D

  • Well I was just always taught to use one because I know people who have gotten their noses broken via horse neck into face.

  • Great job :] Beautiful horsey. :D I just can't get over how pretty your farm is...I miss summer hehe.

  • beautiful horse. :)

  • I don't really want people critiquing who don't know me, my horse, or our physical limitations, which we both have ^__^

  • I really have them posted for the purpose of posting them on other websites for my friends to see, and to send to trainers so they can see how I ride, because I'm going off to college and looking for barns and possibly joining an intercollegiate team...I never posted them for anyones critique or opinion, I know my horse, I know our limitations, I know how I ride, and I have a trainer to critique me and tell me what to improve on.

  • Thnx!

  • I told my friend about our stupid arguement and she said ur name should be stuckonstupid, not stuckonrewind.

  • Its sad that you have nothing better to talk about than youtube arguements with someone you don't even know. Please stop commenting my videos or I'll block you, and that would be unfortunate.

  • martingales arnt that important

  • hats a gorgeous place!

Can use this video for my "youtubes bareback riders" collab video. Its ok if you dont want me to , just message me

    thanks :)
