I love Manchester's symbolism..

The beginning, he is a free bird, and then he feels caged up, and breaks loose.

He then tries to run away from everything(the horses), but realizes he cant, so, he goes back to the start(Back to bird.

All of his emotions are bottled up, and feels trapped(The bottle scene), but he breaks loose, and goes back home.

He is with his family, and there is energy(Lightbulb comes on).

The paper burning symbolizes the new beginning :D

This band is godly.

I personally met Andy after their show here in Columbia, SC and you know what he told me? He said that all his lyrics come from God and that his faith is the biggest part of who he is. I'm not a christian, just a die hard fan and I always wondered where he stood on the subject, so I asked him.

@teleman811 He went to a christian school and felt he didn't fit in. also another lyric he states is that he's the son of a pastor, i dunno if its true but seems believable and would accredit his mentioning of christian-themed lines in his songs. Also, for as much "proof" that he's a christian, he also seems to hold a lot of contempt for "the lord" in certain songs and the way he sings about it.

Manchester Orchestra is simply amazing. Their sound is kind of like other bands but their videos are sure poetry. Like mowburnt said, it's nice to see that some groups still care about the art behind music, not just making sound for money.

Wow. What a completely underwhelming song and a completely terrible video that had no relation to the song at all. There would be one line of lyrics sung by some whiny pre-teen sounding male and then a symbol crash and shitty one string guitar melody being repeated every single time time he opens his mouth to sing these "DEEP" lyrics. Holy shit what a terrible song. It's like this band wasn't even trying. The video style is overused and it isnt even done well.

Personally, I love this song, it doesn't need to have a deeper meaning, it tells a story. But, I respect that you don't like it. You should respect that other people like it.
