In the middle of winter when the weather, salt/grit and dark nights mean your lucky to get out once a month, this video makes me feel summer is just around the corner and those scottish roads wil see us again hopefully I'll get to grips with my camera and post some stuff on this year. Great video and music - used this one to tempt others to come along with us in May roll on better weather
this road is only a couple of miles from where i live near Helmsdale in Sutherland. Single track most of the way, killer for meeting people flying in the opposite direction had many a close shave on this road.
@MotorCycle129 Well its like americans speak the english language but with their own slant on it, lets talk about the ride, nice hey, weather and scenary's great too
If anything these guys need to learn how to take a corner , every corner they enter there on the white line, this is lazy steering and not very safe , as for hanging of this is to keep the bike more upright threw the corner allowing you to get on the gas earlier not needed for road riding!!!!
its not about riding like rossi , its about road craft, and these guys have none there lines sre rotton , its a shame as its a good vid , iam dreaming of going back to scotland and riding it , just wish i could find a vid of equal quality with some decent riders
thats a single track road with plenty forward vision.
theres no need to analyse 99% of those corners, due to the fact that they can see where the road is going.
sticking to the left on a right hander works on your typical A road with traffic approaching, but that's the north of scotland with plenty vision ahead.
there's no need for that kindof hanging off like a monkey on the road.
infact it can be a definite pointer towards steering clear of a fellow rider on the road if they have to hang off at those kindof speeds.
been on a few rideouts where there's a rider hanging off on bends where there's clearly no need, and when the pace has been upped slightly they've disappeared into the distance in my rearview mirror.
Non the less... In rather large turns you really should have your feet tip-toeing on the pegs. If he leant over further he'd have his boot trapped between the bike and the road, beleive me - i know .... I've done it
excellent video steve, im still trying to figure out the route? maybe u could help.? Hey impressive..i didnt realise the SV650 had such a good tank range.. thanx
i think it was the A836 north, then the A838 west. We were heading for Smoo Cave on the North west coast that day.I get anywhere from 90 to 120 miles out of a tankfull depending on how im riding.

bad cornering...agreed!!
But, looks like a nice quiet days riding at cruising speed so theres no need for wanabe rossi's with knee on the deck and arse on the pegs

@ 0:54, just a pet peeve of mine
But the guy infront would have been better off with his tip toe on the peg as he took that corner and have one arse cheek hanging off.
I'm over analytical
