I understand that budgets were tight at the time but did they have to restort to splicing in footage of real cockroachs for the aliens true forms, was it too much to ask that they try to make them look more like insect-like aliens, I mean the orginal Star Trek series had more convincing aliens, because they looked like they were from another planet

godzilla419 when i was 5-7 i was always scared of ghidorah's red eyes this is now one of my favorite films.

@godzilla419 I wouldn't say that they're not "bad"... Considering how the series went on to take a more mature and realistic tone (especially with 2000), I think the writers must have reflected on the poor approach of previous efforts...

they were playing to the audiance of the time. in the 60's and 70's everyone was high, and they were trying to appeal to kids as well.

This is another very fun Godzilla movie especially for the city destruction and the monster battles. The blood scenes were awesome and plus Angurius gets plenty of screen time same with King Ghidorah. I also like the lines that come from Kubota's mouth. "Shima no sabotage" then Shima replies you can't get away with this" Then Kubota says I think we can were just holding you here for a while". I'll admit it was a cheesy movie but still a lot of fun.

the cheese factor is what made this part of the series so great when i was little. toho knew how to appeal to kids.

seriously, when i realized that 2 of the main heros were hippies, i lost alot of respect for this movie.

oh, and in my next review i have a fun opener planned that is ripped from an episode of south park.
