    Customer Reviews:

The Gretsch Jet Baritone is a long scale solid body electric guitar that comes setup as a bassVI out of the box which while interesting isn't nearly as cool as a true baritone electric guitar. BassVI? Baritone? What's the difference you may ask? A bassVI is essentially a six string electric ...

  • Gotta Say ...You sold me on this Guitar.I am going out and Getting one!! Today!!!!! lol

I have a Baritone Hodad...Which is Pretty Cool....But it does not have the whammy....and It does sound as good as that Bad Boy....Also....Gotta say Your Playing is Great!!..Very cool Robe also....Is that your Tune?

  • @billy2129

Many thanks, it was an improvisation with my drum machine.

Remember to dial up and moderate amount of tremolo and a generous amount of reverb for this sound.

  • @transtremm

Yeah...I have it on back order from Guitar Center...It will take 3 weeks to get...lol

Can hardly wait...Again Thanks...I like your playing!!!!!

    Have a Great Weekend Man!!!!!

  • Did you by any chance do anything else in this vein? I enjoyed the composition, and while I was originally opposed to these guys (under the false assumption that they were cheaply made), your playing and excellent reviews I've seen have me sold. I just REALLY have to save up for one quickly; baris seem to be discontinued so often, so readily!

  • Os the fretboard wider on that compared to a guitar.

  • @numanuma20 Most baritones I've played have had bigger necks. It's not a huge difference, but it can make some more difficult chords problematic. I myself don't have any proper experience with these Gretsches yet though.

  • this is my new favorite youtube video ever.

i want that guitar so freakin bad.

    and that robe ;D

  • This video got me interested in the boss ME-70. I now have one, it's a great pedal.

P.S. This is so awesome I took the audio from this video and put it on my mp3 player.

  • I don't know which is sexier, the finish on that guitar or your bath robe lol. Awesome video!

  • What is the backing track ?

  • Nice. I'm considering purchasing one of these. Would it be possible for you to post a review

  • geiles Hemd! :D

  • Great playing!! great sound!! what string gauge/set up do you use?

  • @overdrive302

Thanks! The set up and strings are straight from the factory, the action is perfect right out of the box. It is strung with a standard Fender Bass VI set of strings, the gauges are: .025, .035, .045, .055, .075, .095. This string set is made by Fender, each string tapers at the end so the string can be inserted into the tuning posts.

  • @transtremm Man, What a great sound!! I dig your style!

    Ala "Sandals", "Chantays" "Pipeline!"

Im a jazz player, but really dig this stuff! Getting one of these soon

for jazz, but you have inspired me to try to play this stuff!!

    Joe.

  • would you reccommend this guitar for someone who would put baritone strings on it? Does it stay in tune good?

  • how do thoe mini humbuckers compare to the regular size humbuckers?

  • amazing

  • Aside from the guitar, what all do you have going into this to get your sound?

  • Nice sound

  • @Deere55

I'm running through a Boss ME-70 with Reverb (hall) at 10; a tremolo effect; and I'm using the equalizer. The Boss ME-70 has a 4 band parametric EQ with the following setting: high, low-mid, high-mid, and low. I use the following EQ setting: high=5, low-mid=5, high-mid=9, and low=5.

The equalizer on the ME-70 is VERY POWERFUL!

  • @transtremm im reeally stuck here....can i tune a varitone guitar to e standard ?? like a normal guitar or will the neck snap or something ?

  • @AlexM1175

This guitar comes from the factory tuned as follows (low to high): E, A, D, G, B, E. Just like a normal guitar tuning, however all the strings are an octave lower.
