  • I would so want to have such a lightsaber duel with someone.

  • I love Star Wars 4ever.episode 4-6 be make at the time my dad was 18 born year 1959.episode 1 im 10year old until 16..i'ii be missed it..now im 21 year.time running fast..

    STAR WARS THE LEGEND SI-FIC!

  • I went there in oregon

  • now what we need to make is a darth vader type suit , one that let's you breathe when you are near death however if you take it , you cannot take it off or you die, however this therapy would only allow if you had both arms and 1 leg burned due to lava because you were too dumbass to know that you should not attack an enemy that has higher ground and not know that betraying your friends is not the best way to get lifesaving powers

  • the science of starwars:jeanne cauelos

    isbn13:9780312263874

  • Almsot none of the technology from Star Wars will ever be real.Take whatever "real life version of something" , compare it to movie version and you see that the only thing that connects them is few elements. For instance , there will be a battle robots in real life. But none of these robots will never-ever look , function even close to the movie versions.Eventually the only connection is that both are robots.Same goes to the rest of Star Wars technology.

  • You're missing the point big time. So what if things don't look the same. The simple fact is that people get inspired to try to make things that work like things in the movies that's the main thing with both Star Wars & Star Trek, inspiration to come up with something. The only thing that really could never be built is a lightsabre ... light doesn't work that way but, things inspired by the props of the movies is a very real thing ... very poor comment you have here.

  • Most of the technology wont be the same as in the movies , there force its not the same technology. There force you cant call really "real star wars this or that".You can look at spacecraft like Apollo 11 and compare it to X-Wings or what ever , but they have very different functionality , very different capabilities and very different function.Same goes to the rest of the technology. The difference is as big as in WW1 tanks and modern Abraham tanks.

  • You still don't get it and it's obvious that you don't have the brain capacity to actually give anybody else credit for telling you you're wrong ... don't reply ... I don't have time to waste on a moron like you ... go bug someone else with your dribble

  • So you say that star wars will be reality one day ? Bullshit!

  • For instance , many prominent scientist say that there will never be an AI capable of reasoning and feelings. It is also almost certain that there will be no energy shields or hyperjump - not a single discovery wont promise them. The wormholes and stuff are too unstable and take the energy of a million suns to "jump" a ship to somewhere and god knows where it ends up.I also heard that wormholes would rip the ship appart anyway. Also there will be no blaster weaponry , probably.

  • Dude we don't even know if those things even exist ... wormholes and the like ... using that kind of crap is just trying to cover over a lack of understanding of the subject matter ... BTW ... don't tell the military that "blaster weaponry" will never happen ... they already have it. Yes, it isn't a gun you carry around on your hip ... yet ... but laser tech is growing by leaps and bounds.

  • As about laser technology , star wars characters DO NOT use laser technology. They use a blaster technology , which is an energetically charged bolts or "something".Its not a light.

  • True AI ... possible but not likely. Until we can, in modern day terms, create a memory system the size of the moon and take it down to a pin head ... AI won't happen because in basic terms AI has never really meant "alive" ... it means knowing everything there is to know ... not possible with modern day devices.

  • Now I know what your problem is ... you can't read ... I never said any of that would be "reality" ... it's the inspiration that comes from the movies not the designs.

  • My point is that only the details from Star Wars will be ever reality , just a small details. But Star Wars is largely just hollywood. If you would go into the future , the world woulnt be even remotely similar to the star wars.

  • Ummm ... isn't that the same thing I've been saying? As for all the other stuff ... our tech is at a stand still right now waiting for the next grand discovery, don't ask me what it will be because I don't know but my money goes on Fusion ... if we ever learn how to do that then there will be no limits on what we can do with a power source like that.

  • Just to close the AI thing ... have you ever seen the Terminator movies ... yeah I know, no where near real but it does show the basic problem. When we see through the eyes of a terminator you see that they use real numbers not integer numbers ... if we could use real numbers in tech stuff like that then AI would be here sooner than you think ... but we can't yet so I guess there are no worries ... yet anyways.

  • I would say that robots are perfect at aiming and hitting the targets , but they suck at emotions. These star wars droids are in fact very human , they seems to have feelings , fears and desires. The terminator in this case is more realistic , it has as much emotions as land mines and in reality it would be as deadly accurate as call of duty player using an aimbot :P And differently from star wars droids , the real robots woulnt have a sense of self preservation.

  • As for the laser thing, yes the hand blaster and such are not based on light ... however ... the "big guns" are laser based. Capital Ships have turbolasers ... the Death Stars had super lasers.

  • I dobt that we cab blow up planets by pointing laser based weapons on it :P But then again these "turbolasers" and so on might be just a names given to a weapons you know :P Tiger tank for instance has nothing to do with the real tigers you know.

  • I don't know, keep a laser pointed at a planet for say a billion or so years and it might cause some damage ... lol ... in SW blasters do use light but combined with tibana gas, whatever the hell that is. With the different types of lasers they depend on the amount of reflection before being discharged. The "Tech Journals" of SW actually do try to explain things but it's usually just BS made to sound good & of course the laws of physics are different there ... lol ...

  • there both good.

  • George Lucas is a genius and a revolucionary filmmaker.

  • awesome! i love star wars!

  • I cant wait to see this

  • I'm seeing this in Sydney on Saturday :)

  • AWESOME! I'm going in the holdiays to go to this!

  • An exhibition? Where can I found and visit it?

  • Hello!! maybe you already know, but this exhibition will be at the power museum in Sydney, Australia from this December till april 2009... :D

    hope you will enjoy it

  • This is by far the most awesomest thing I have ever heard of but what do you know, it just so happens that it isn't going to be in Adelaide, South Australia. Damn, South Australia hardly ever has anything awesome. We don't even get any Star Wars conventions on the 25th of May, all we get is some minor party made up of the few fans that know of this crappy little get-togethers exsitence (which is around 30 people), and most of them aren't even Star Wars fans, most are just general Sci-Fi fans!

  • coolio

  • i wish i could go there and meet him

  • well, he doesn't blow like you.....

  • quit talking about what you do in your spare time, were trying to watch the video

  • He's got some GREAT hair.

  • YOU BLOW, you small dick

  • check out a 4 year old storm trooper dj scratch the star wars song. its video responce by stecker

  • George Lucas has been and always will be my all time Idle! Always wanted to meet him!

  • I saw this exhibit in Fort Worth. I will be honest- it was the only time I was truly happy during the latter part of last year. I honestly felt like I was coming home to the mothership.

  • it really is a cool exhibit!

i was it in Edinburgh before attack of the clones

  • Sounds very interesting. Though I'd rather see some footage from Lucas' next project. :)

  • everything that sci-fi films proposed and inspired became true...that's a fact!!!!

  • Don't be an idealistic fool. Think about what you posted for the world to see.

  • Owned. Yes, I must agree though, not EVERYTHING. Many ideas and proposals from the past have become true... but they also hypothesized that we would be eating inflatable food tablets and pilled water as well, 100 years ago at the end of the 1800's.

I apologize for our comments being intellectual. After all, this is YouTube.

(Keep it stupid, ignorant, and insensitive!)

    you fckuer u stupid
