I think that this hair style is very cute. I cant wait for my hair to get to a length where I can wear that also. Do you typically where your hair in a braid or multiply braids for the winter? Do you have a winter hair regimen? Its getting quite cold out and I have no idea what to do for winter styling. I have just been wearing it straight. Do you have any tips?

Even though, I don't believe your full intent was to be rude...you and others who have commented something similar need to learn tolerance, especially if you plan on traveling anywhere outside of your own country or State, even. Everyone isn't like you nor will they look like you. I don't know how old you are, but once you mature a little further you might be able to see my point. My stepmom used to do this to my hair in ponys! It looks beautiful. I think its hard to see the detail not because of the camera but because you have on a black vest against jet black hair so it blends together.

It's very difficult to see exactly how you are doing it. It's a bit confusing - looks like it would be cute though. Could you do a close up with more lighting. I'm not sure how you are passing each strand and exactly from upper or bottom. I hope you decide to do another tutorial on this.

I did say that I use heat 2x a yr and that was my error so I corrected it and apologize if that confused anyone who didn't know that I meant that I flatiron 2x a yr. I never stated that I flatironed "most of the time", so that is misinformation...

During your journey to long hair, did you do all your braids the whole time or did you have someone do your braids for you?

ladies if you're hair is longish but not as thick as LHDC2011 def try this braid instead of the regular three part braid. this braid makes the hair look thicker for some reason. i would do mine kinda loose with relaxed hair and really masked the thinness of my hair. i'll try this with my natural hair in the spring. i want to get to bsl first so i can have a long pretty braid.

hey! you're welcome. I usually FI in march or Nov..but it varies. The whole reason for waiting has to do with the temperature and whether it's a rain season or not. This maximized the length of time that I can actually keep the hair somewhat straight over a few weeks time.

I have edited the info to make things clearer for those who are genuinely confused, but at the same time; If I did use heat 2x a year, how is that "flatironing my hair most of the time", if I stated that I keep my hair straight 3-4 weeks out of the year when I do flatiron. One has nothing to do with the other. I don't think she was being nasty per se..nor do I find that I was being nasty.

There was a spot on bROADWAY BETWEEN 39TH AND 38TH..They gave really good cuts in there and their prices were decent but I believe they moved somewhere else or closed down. Maybe try a hair school where maybe the instructor can do the cut while the students watch, it's pretty inexpensive especially since it's just a bang shape up u need

@killakahl...I was gonna tell her something similar LOL LOL. @longhairdontcare2011...Yes, hair schools do good jobs and they are very inexpensive or free. The instructors may do your hair but from personal experience, the students usually do your hair for credit, while the instructor watches or is nearby to monitor. If the address quoted from Killakahl is in NYC, I was watching The View and they mentioned a place called Arrojo Beauty School that provides those services. Best wishes!! :)
