that's right girl.. be who you are.. you have such a cool style.. you're unique in so many ways and some folks just simply cannot handle that.. but that's their own issue.. certainly not yours! :)
i love your videos and the details but it is very hard for me to see what you are doing bc of your distance..i realize this may be beyond your control and that is understandable but i just decided to point this out...or i could just need new glasses lol :)
I think that this hair style is very cute. I cant wait for my hair to get to a length where I can wear that also. Do you typically where your hair in a braid or multiply braids for the winter? Do you have a winter hair regimen? Its getting quite cold out and I have no idea what to do for winter styling. I have just been wearing it straight. Do you have any tips?
Even though, I don't believe your full intent was to be rude...you and others who have commented something similar need to learn tolerance, especially if you plan on traveling anywhere outside of your own country or State, even. Everyone isn't like you nor will they look like you. I don't know how old you are, but once you mature a little further you might be able to see my point. I used to judge people heavily in my teens and I am being sincere, not rude.
My stepmom used to do this to my hair in ponys! It looks beautiful. I think its hard to see the detail not because of the camera but because you have on a black vest against jet black hair so it blends together.
Gal you've got an amazing hair! Don't worry about the haters do your thing coz people like me really get encouraged by watching your vds. Keep them coming! Peace!
It's very difficult to see exactly how you are doing it. It's a bit confusing - looks like it would be cute though. Could you do a close up with more lighting. I'm not sure how you are passing each strand and exactly from upper or bottom. I hope you decide to do another tutorial on this.
OK... I don't want to impose on you... I don't know why it didn't dawn on me (until a few minutes after leaving the comment), that I could find the tutorial elsewhere... You're just one of my favs, so I was all excited to learn it here. No biggie, I know you're busy. Never heard of a fishtail braid until this vid - so thanks for posting. :)
Hey i dont want to bother you but could you redo this vid while wearing a white or light colored shirt so that we can see your hair better because ur hair blends in with your vest and its hard to see the braiding process.
If you didn't understand that's fine, but it's not fine to make something up. People read the comments and it will confuse people. you said:
"if you use heat twice a year how can u flat iron it most of the time"
I did say that I use heat 2x a yr and that was my error so I corrected it and apologize if that confused anyone who didn't know that I meant that I flatiron 2x a yr. I never stated that I flatironed "most of the time", so that is misinformation...
ladies if you're hair is longish but not as thick as LHDC2011 def try this braid instead of the regular three part braid. this braid makes the hair look thicker for some reason. i would do mine kinda loose with relaxed hair and really masked the thinness of my hair. i'll try this with my natural hair in the spring. i want to get to bsl first so i can have a long pretty braid.
very cute! I've always wondered what the technique was for fishbone braids/ figured my hair wasn't long enough so I'd never pay attention when friends did it lol but hopefully soon :)
Thanks for that video i've been tryin my hair for a long time...Q; i know that you flat iron it twice a year...can u tell me how long u wait imbetween flat ironin please...
hey! you're welcome. I usually FI in march or Nov..but it varies. The whole reason for waiting has to do with the temperature and whether it's a rain season or not. This maximized the length of time that I can actually keep the hair somewhat straight over a few weeks time.
I'm also natural and trying to follow in your footsteps as far as haircare. Your hair seems so well MOISTURIZED and I'm having soooo much trouble in this area. Any suggestions?
@Cakes512 I believe what she meant in the description box is that when her hair is styled or flat ironed, then most of the time she does this by herself...but if she doesnt style her hair herself, she will mention that someone else did it.
@Cakes512 In your info it says you "use heat 2x a year" AND it says you keep hair "straightened for 3-4 weeks". I don't think she was being nasty, she was just confused b/c your info does say these exact things.
I have edited the info to make things clearer for those who are genuinely confused, but at the same time; If I did use heat 2x a year, how is that "flatironing my hair most of the time", if I stated that I keep my hair straight 3-4 weeks out of the year when I do flatiron. One has nothing to do with the other. I don't think she was being nasty per se..nor do I find that I was being nasty.
I'm sure you have answered this question on some other video, but I just wanted to know how long it took you to grow your hair out to its current length. Thanks!!
There was a spot on bROADWAY BETWEEN 39TH AND 38TH..They gave really good cuts in there and their prices were decent but I believe they moved somewhere else or closed down. Maybe try a hair school where maybe the instructor can do the cut while the students watch, it's pretty inexpensive especially since it's just a bang shape up u need
@killakahl...I was gonna tell her something similar LOL LOL. @longhairdontcare2011...Yes, hair schools do good jobs and they are very inexpensive or free. The instructors may do your hair but from personal experience, the students usually do your hair for credit, while the instructor watches or is nearby to monitor. If the address quoted from Killakahl is in NYC, I was watching The View and they mentioned a place called Arrojo Beauty School that provides those services. Best wishes!! :)
