  • can any of you dumb fucks tell me how this is illegal?

what would the charges be in a court room?

  • Go, Pierce!!!

  • Ohh and btw, if Iceland kills whales it is a crime ? Then what is the Usa killing of Iraqi civilians called ?

  • @ibbi30 Egskriva sona so teir nota ikki gúgltransleitt. Eggert verad svarra, bra dröllerar. egaetlaad þumlatá nitur og sjiá vidbrogdteirra ;)

  • @PanzerBlitz43 Please, take your shit elsewhere. I am 16, I can't even vote now, 3 years after the crash, and when the government that deregulated the economy and caused great damage to the highlands, I was what ? I was probably around 8 years old or something.

Polar bears did not use to have Iceland as their home ! They were never able to adapt to Iceland ice less nature in the summer. They came over and over and always died.

Beside the fact we are not selfish criminals. I thing are a racist.

  • If you dint know Mr.Pierce Brosnan US are killing way more whales than Iceland So get your facts straight you dumb fuck....

  • Wtf its not fucking illegal you stupid fucking shithead and why is it wrong to kill whale because its better than other animals?!?! The species we hunt arent endangered so please just shut the fuck up

  • Get your facts straight Mr. Bond...

  • How about you idiot Americans stop the three wars you're in, abolish the death penalty and stop supporting Israel before you attack a nation of 320 000-ish for being "barbaric". And maybe considering not whaling yourselves you morons.

  • Btw, the character limit hindered me from stating that I am an environmentalist. I am just not against hunting, as long as the hunters are careful and not endangering the species they hunt.

The environmental issue in Iceland in my opinion is a of Icelandic and American causes. The right wing parties in Iceland wanted Alcoa to build aluminium smelting plants in Iceland and sell them energy. In order to do that they had to sink and destroy great natural treasurers.

    Watch the movie Draumalandið !

  • OK. Like others have stated, the whales we hunt are not endangered. Do you really believe that Iceland is going to exterminate a species that she hunts ? We live in a rather cold land, but we have one of the most productive fishing zones in the world, we, a nation of 300 000, fish over 1 % of all fish in the world. Fishing is really important !

Besides, I and most Icelanders don't wan't species extinct, even if we hunt.

This video has open my eyes to the fact how easy it is to trick people.

  • Well mr. Bond, seems like you've been cought lying.

  • We should be proud that we still have some of these beautiful magnificent animals on this planet. All of us should do everything to ensure their existence for the future.

To hunt these social high-developed creatures is a crime against civilisation and future generations. Think how many more things threatens these animals, pollution, radioactivity (japan), oil, islands of plastic that threatens all Maritime life etc. Think beyond today and protect them for now and the future!

  • DROWN THE WHALERS....REMEMBER THE ESSEX

  • Fuck you Brosnan hypocrite why don´t think about your own country that you life in America where they are whaleling.

  • The GoldenEye is fixated upon your house Mr. Bond

  • @Rebound321 The Fin whale is endangered worldwide. The Fin whale is listed on both Appendix I and Appendix II of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.

When will everyone understand that there are only so many whales left in the oceans.

  • @candyman1031 When will you and others realize it's not endangered

  • @PanzerBlitz43 There's not a big enough volcano here, anyways, dont have time for trolls

  • @PanzerBlitz43 The earthquakes on the pacific plate are the biggest in the world, they should have known of the danger. The volcano's in Iceland simply arent big enough to have that kinds of damage, it's just not possible. The biggest volcano's are in the southern outback of Iceland where no one lives. Crimes?, out whaling actually is legal, we are within boundaries.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 As i said before, our whalings are legal and we are within boundaries.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 blablabla, i dont have time for trolls, im going to stand by my words now, i have now stopped answering your nonsense.

  • Comment removed

  • @dingoprairie2 old fart?, im younger than you!. You and PanzerBlitz43 might be the same person, i could be wrong. (Rebound321: 1, dingoprairie2: 0) :)

  • @Rebound321 actually.. I'm actually 17 and i'm not panzerblitz, but I totally agree with what he said.. your younger than me? you stupid old fart liar (dingopriarie2, Reboundshit 0) :)

  • @dingoprairie2 Your profile says you are 23, so you're the liar. I'll be 21 in 3 weeks. (Rebound321: 2 ; dingoprairie: 0). Lol so you are 17, i dont expect you to know much about whaling.

  • @Rebound321 Iceland is a terrorist state.. there's absolutely no question about that now. The question is is what should the civilized world do about it? I say gear up NATO and bomb Rekjavik and any Iceland whaling towns to ash. Iceland is trying to destroy our world's ecosystems and its future, the worst crime possible.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 lol, terrorist state? stop trolling man.. . "Iceland is trying to destroy our world's ecosystem and its future, the wost crime possible" i sense your sarcasm. If your going to try and take shots, atleast try to get them right. Iceland is a part of NATO, NATO doesnt attack their own members.

    -

Yeah, they must bomb them because of a few whales #sarcasm

  • @Rebound321 NATO can be infiltrated and joined by many countries. Doesn't mean those countries are obligated to join in the activities of NATO. For example Turkey is a member of NATO but objected strongly to NATO's bombing of Libya. Now instead of something like bombing Libya which was wrong, NATO can do a good thing, save whale populations and the future of the earth by bombing the crap out of iceland.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 You're funny, you should do stand up

  • Comment removed

  • @Rebound321 And you should kill yourself Iceland idiot. you are worth nothing and are a disease on th earth. Unfortunately it's not "standup" how criminal, corrupt and rotten your country is. Icelanders like you need to be isolated for the criminals they are.

  • @PanzerBlitz43 lol, that's great! trollolol

  • Fuck off mr. Bond, I fucking love whale meat.. Excuse me now, I'm going to the kitchen to make me some delicious whale steak!

  • the US kills more whales in alaska then iceland

  • oh cry me a river. save the whales save the whales. The little we're hunting of the already large stock isn't enough to endanger it. The Icelandic Marine Research Institute advises on the quotas for the season which are usually rather conservative, also the fin whale quota is rarely fulfilled anyways. it's not like we go out there and kill everything indiscriminately. Unlike the EU we have been getting better at managing the quotas so the fish stocks don't crash like has happened in the EU.

  • pigs, can play computer games, should´nt everyone stop eating bacon?

we kill tons more of pigs than whales and they are at least as smart as the whales we hunt.

  • Get your facts straight. Fin whales aren´t endangered in the N-Atlantic you halfwit, they´re only threatened around Antarctica (you can´t just take that local fact and make that a global fact). The fin whale population around Iceland is estimated being as big as the time before whaling started around the country.

  • GO GO WHALING!!!!!

  • There is no point this is just useless and horrific!! There is no justification for this!

  • @MasterJediV wtf useless and horrific?! You apparently have no idea how delicious whale meat is ._.

  • Comment removed

  • Whale steaks are awesome.

  • Iceland´s sinking financially & MORALLY !

  • @Hemulen40 Yes. How evil of us to kill animals instead of humans like the US, Uk and many other nations.

  • Comment removed

  • Many thanks to Pierce Brosnan, NRDC and all involved in making this video.

  • and when they're all gone, how good is whale meat?

they're on the endangered species list for a reason. it's isn't anti-business, it's protecting a precious resource that can barely sustain itself.

oh well, maybe we can save a few for the zoo's so the whalers from iceland can go see what one looks like.

    say hi to future generations.

  • In one year, the USA hunt 50 Bowhead whales (in Alaska) from a group of 10.500; that's 0,4% of that specie. For an example, Iceland hunt 39 fin whales in a year from a group of 103.000; that's 0,03%... while a fin whale is aprox 14 tons, the bowhead is 80, that's 4 times more. In the end, Iceland hunts 540 tons yearly while USA hunt 4.000 tons.. that's seven-times more. i'm not saying it is or isn't ok to hunt them and i don't know how it is in Norway or Japan, but fight you own demons first

  • @hoticecup ~ the fin whale is an endangered species. the iwc has issued a moratorium on hunting these animals. obviously if an animal is on an endangered species list it has sustainability issues, i wouldn't take this issue up with the nrdc, or point a finger at the u.s., the only bow hunting in alaska is by indigenous peoples, and the bow whales numbers are increasing since a 1966 ban on commercial hunting.

they both should be protected. this is not a state v. state issue.

  • @tomitstube well the numbers don't lie and i'm not taking any sides, but the argument of the indigenous people are only hunting the bow they are still hunting the species that is much less in numbers even if it's icreasing in numbers, the hunt of fins is carried out by a very good scientific overview of the species and each catch is studied for scientific purpose as well as for consuming so the animal won't go to waste.

  • @hoticecup ~ except that "scientific overview" you speak of says the fin is endangered. a study by the international whaling commission led to a world wide ban on fin hunting. the only countries to defy this ban are iceland and japan, and japan only hunted one in the last couple of years. aboriginal greenlanders are allowed, but their impact is negligible.

i'm not against iceland or icelanders, i'm just going by an international concern about fin sustainability. what is your source?

  • so.. they eat them or what

  • This is gross, honestly the evils man inflicts on other species, let alone man. It's a bore I know but please help if you care. Boycott Icelandic products; they are wilfully breaking International law anyway.

  • Send this video to everyone you know and get this going viral!

  • i signed the petition to save the beautiful whales from being killed. how can anyone even do that?

  • @simca15 i dont know but they do.! they gotta stop this!!
