  • Isnt there still slaves today...

  • Which recording of Wade in the Water is used in this video?

  • It never ended. Now we're ALL slaves.

  • GOD BLESS ALL THE SLAVES. WHAT A SAD TIME IN HISTORY. A CHANGE HAS COME. THANK YOU GOD.

  • Slavery : one of the most hateful time of the humanity. May god give the rest for all those men, women and children who died because of the bloody stupidity of other men.

  • what's the beginning piano song?

  • hey, I'm looking for African American rudimentary music. Drums, percussion and singing. Original instruments, etc. Just like in the Americas. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • anyone know which version of "wade in the water" is used in this video? thanks

  • Slavery is just as strong today as it was back then, especially in our your people. Look around, listen. The whips of 400+ years ago have been replaced with something much more painful.

  • Thank u Ab Lincoln ! RIP <3

  • Whats the first song???

  • enlightening video. Whats the difference between being treated as a slave and killing your own race?

  • shame on my white race...but its over 300 years ago.

  • Que precioso, Hija! La libertidad de uno es de todos. Thank you for this wonderful lesson.

  • minimum wage is slavery ...look around every working man is a slave ....some slave harder...some slave smarter....some slave alone ...some make there woman slave..open your eyes......

  • OMG why isn't anybody commenting on how clever this kid is ?

  • This is a very nice video and provided a lot of insight and information slavery. It is very interesting to know how songs enable them to escape.

  • i hate slavery its crul

  • I am baffled by the way people think our race should "Forget" or "Get over" how our fore-fathers were degraded beyond explaination and stablized what we know as "The Great Land of Freedom" while they reaped the benefits. Our ppl have had a hard time yet most only seem to see the bad. There was no money passed on though Black families to keep up a good living with education. People where I live still have in their minds that the entire African race is uneducated.. Guess that goes both ways.

  • slavery may have been used to build the romans statue and coloseum, but not the egyptian .check the accuracy of your source. R> B>

  • Great jobs young Lady

  • What I don't like about all this, is all you ever hear about is the Jewish holocaust in Germany. Somehow that's more important than this holocaust which went on or 400 years or more. And on top of that, the American Indian holocaust which also lasted hundreds of years. How come people don't make this point when discussing the Nazi era in 1920s , 30s Germany.?

  • Still going on today, just not as public and aggressive as it used to be.

  • Some of these videos make me wanna cry because of how sad it is.don't hate on us.plz :( the treatment and info which I read (I'm intreseted in history) almost makes ME DISGUSTED in what whites have done (and I'm white)it's wrong and disgusting.we aren't all bad :(

  • @sebbeas123 WELL DUH like lots including me there were white underground railroad conductors who risked there lives so there were plenty who thought it was wrong

  • Indians had it worse

  • I have seen comments by people who should be informed that Blacks were in North America before the white man started importing Africans as slaves. They were here trading with the Indians and intermarried into many tribes. These blacks were never slaves .A lot of them lived in Canada....Also please cut out rhe Egyptian myth that the media keeps feeding us, even to this day. Egypt is in AFRICA! Why doesn't the media just say East Africa?? And yes, it was/is the cradle of civilization!!

  • there is still slavery, and at some of the worst levels ever. the child sex trade is atrocious, and the internet has made it much worse.it devastatesthe kids for life. It's as bad as murder.

  • thanks for sharing,, check out slave blues by donald lee,, serious lyrics

  • Thank you very much for this video! This is history that the "history teachers" in both USA, UK or Africa NEVER show us. I feel educated today about the true history of my ancestors. Did u know that as slavery was taking place abroad, it was also taking place in Africa. In Zimbabwe, slavery by Rhodes involved SANCTIONS called "chibharo" & forced removals from own land & if they dared to refuse, they were beaten or killed & then forced into slavery on farms and mines. Families were destroyed

  • im not trying to be mean, she did a good job but one of my pet peeves is hearing someone blow into a microphone. im not hating but i wanted to watch this so bad i actually watched the whole video but i cringed everytime i heard that awful sound. but you did a good job and a good thing making this video(:

  • Has anyone noticed that when the subject of slavery comes up in this country, someone ALWAYS try to downplay it by mentioning slavery in other countries, including Africa? But, mention South African Apartheid or the Holocaust, those same people denounce those atrocities with a fervor. They will honor Mandela but won't honor King. So, when they try to change the subject about slavery in the USA, simply mention atrocities against Native Americans and watch how they shut up.

  • This little child has such a beautiful voice, Thank you for teaching our history to the young ones. And thank you for posting this video.

  • was there like any white persons who ever thought: wait isn't this very wrong?

  • @sebbeas123 abolitionists wanted slavery to end and abraham lincoln too :D

  • @sebbeas123 Abolitionists..God bless them

  • @sebbeas123 not many people questioned slavery becouse it was a thousand years old tradition of mankind for a rich man to have slaves, but when europeans started raping america, they took the slaves mainly from africa, before that slaves were also poor whites.

  • @sebbeas123 of corse there were manyso called whites who did not condone slavery. a famous one was william wilberforce. even though they sanctioned to end it, ther were still higher powers that seek to keep the industry to benefit themselves. but as you know the motion was to stop channel slavery which whites did stop. and eventually they campaigned to end slavery period. again white folks. blacks could not campaign to end their own slavery there had to be some help from the whites.

  • @sebbeas123 im sure there were but they were probably afraid to speak out

  • @sebbeas123 Yes, many.

  • @sebbeas123 yes, there were many white abolitionists.

  • @sebbeas123

of course there would've been people who rejected this idea and moved forward to neglect the situation. every white person is not guitly of this! Even if they have incestors that were part of it... some of us do try to change the things that happened.. and we still cannot do it alone. There is alot white surpremist that exist and carry that hate. I'm from New Zealand.. and i am myself mixed.. so what???

  • @sebbeas123 Of course there were. The Underground Railroad had to be white people, as all black people would have been suspected of being partial. You do know that John Brown and his sons were white, right?I don't know about all over, but In Tennessee 20% of white families before the civil war had at least one slave. There's always good people. The problem is, the bad ones have the power because they LOVE power.

  • @sebbeas123 Yeah. That's why Canadians let you into our country to escape slavery and also why America erupted in civil war to free the slaves.

  • @sebbeas123 yea but that doesnt change anything. you may think that police brutality is wrong. good luck stopping it..ya dig?

  • @sebbeas123 yes thats why the civil war happened. i agree they should have realized it much earlier..

  • @sebbeas123 agreed!

  • yes

  • @sebbeas123 people in the south just thought it a part of life and im not sure how they could get there minds to think what they did was right. oh and naive americas had slaves too so...

  • @sebbeas123

    Yes, the abolitionist.

  • I HATE Slavery! My greatgrandmother was an Italian woman Anna Cucci who was a slave bride for a rich plantation owner in

Louisiana who couldn't have children of his own and wanted a wife with children who could cook. He used the female children, including my grandmother for house slaves and the male children for field slaves. when he died he left them all penniless leaving everything to his brother. Not all slaves were black. But all are worth our rememberance!

  • @BeckeyGirard That is interesting. It is important to know these things. What a fascinating story of your family. Have you dont a genealogical search on your family tree?

  • We are not africans, africans are the seed of Ham, we are the seed of Shem, Hams brother, please people read your bible, it tells of our decent into slavery. Deuteronomy 28:15-68. Please read this in the Hebrew Text (bible). Latinos you are our brothers.

  • @PhedXMan7 Thanks brother.

  • @PhedXMan7 you, sir, are a dying breed...

  • @PhedXMan7 Hate to break it to you, but hispanic means "hail from spain" - which is a white european country.

The latino's you are referring to are technically caucasian - only the ones who bred with native mexicans are mixed. And those people are called Mexican.

  • 2 day is july 11 and im black and i live in GA so i guess that is me running away

  • Good job.

  • Every race has had slaves throughout history. But IMO nobody's been worse than the white race. In particular america. Our government has basically committed genocide twice. What we did over 5 centuries to native americans was GENOCIDE. Indians were systematically targeted because of ethnicity and wiped out. Unforgivable. And now white america is so anti-immigration? WE ARE IMMIGRANTS. We killed all the natives and took it as our own. Fucking ridiculous. Slavery is almost as bad.

  • @PeyotePaul all that shit came from England and European colonies :(

  • @PeyotePaul Makes one wonder if it would have mattered if the Indians had papers and palaces to hold and certify their government bodies. I don't think so. That's how the white race has always been, barbaric and greedy.

  • @PeyotePaul

    so agree

  • @PeyotePaul actually arab were maybe the greatest salve traders of all times. they captures africans and sold them to white people. you know, the arab word for a black person is ABID which LITERALY translates to SLAVE.

    you should know history.

  • @PeyotePaul who remembers the massacre of the picts by the anglo-saxons? every race has slaughtered others in migration, its history.

  • @PeyotePaul

    Egypt was waaaay worse!

  • @PeyotePaul indians Wiped out? you know how offensive that is to all of us of american indian descend?

  • @PeyotePaul Yeah Americans were far worse all those pyrimds were a cake walk picking cotton was much harder and the Roman collesium that was so easy slaves were just singin havin great fun thank God they didnt have to suffer through tobacco fields.

Come on man slaves in america were treated like kings compared to slaves in Egypt and Anchient Rome.

In the US they word as farm hands in Egypt they carried 100 ton blocks up steep hills everyday.

  • R.I.P. All slaves throughout history.

  • @darrouken Thank you for the collective R.I.P. FOR THE MILLIONS OF SLAVES WHO DIED, I LIKE TO ADD THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO HAD THE STRENGTH TO ENDURE THE BRUTAL AND INHUMAN PERIOD OF AMERICAN BLACK SLAVERY, you all knew you would spend your entire life as slaves yet you endured. Without you, we the African Americans of the 21thcentury would not exist.THANK YOU, I HOPE YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN FROM HEAVEN

  • @darrouken amen,

And the ones that are being made in this country now. Rise up and take this sad messed up shackled country back...

  • fact is that as cruel as slavery was....places like egypt & rome wouldnt have the immense structures like the pyramids, sphinx and colloseum without slavery. cruel but necessary to their economy at the time.

  • @bradsta88 there was no comparison to the inhumane animalistic slavery of the 1600,s. cruel but necessary? is that what makes you feel better about mans inhumanity to man?

  • @bradsta88 --NO! YOU ARE WRONG. AND THERE IS SOME RESEARCH TO SAY THAT THE PYRAMIDS HAD A PAID LABOR FORCE THAT CAME FROM FAR AND WIDE AND BROUGHT THEIR WHOLE FAMILIES TO RESIDE WITH THEM UNTIL THE JOB WAS FINISHED. IT REQUIRED REAL SKILLS FROM ARTISANS TO BUILD THE STRUCTURES. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THOUGH THAT SOME PEOPLE WERE NOT HELD IN BONDAGE EGYPT AT THE TIME WHO HELPED. BUT BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR VIEW: DEHUMANIZATION & ATROCITY IS NEVER NECESSARY BUT PEOPLE DO IT.--MO

  • @bradsta88 I hear you but it was not the diabolical type of slavery in the U.S.....

  • @bradsta88 Slavery is never necessary, but always cruel.

  • more scars

  • Im white and I couldnt even look passed 50 secs :( this is sad and it still happens in the world we live in , maybe not to the extent but racism is still around and effects everyone. I HATE racism/hate towards any and all. lets stop looking back and start a new future AND please lets support everyone without looking at the colour of the skin, BUT the colour of there heart

  • slavery still exists!

  • I'm sorry to say this, but the more I watch those kinds of video the more I hate white people...please don't get me wrong, I'm just an African girl who feels the pain of slavery!! :(

  • @dallymika Your channel says you live in America so you can't hate white people very much and can't feel the pain of slavery.

  • ...Hope is alive...reteach her before media rapes her of her knowlege...too cool...bless her....

  • USA goverment must pay the slaves because they have suffered and have been treated like animals. But they are maybe more humans than the whites! A white SWEDISH BOY.

  • @MrBenni77 , They're excuse is they don't have to pay them because they're all dead now. Never mind the descendants, which will exist forever.

  • History Pop Quiz In the late 18th century, slavery was a world-wide institution that had existed in all human cultures until that time. 100 years later slavery was non-existent in Western countries and was practiced only sporacially in the rest of the world. How did an institution that had been a staple of all human cultures, condoned by almost all governments, for at least 5000 years, become a criminal activity, at lest technically banned by almost every country in the world, in just 100 years?

  • Those who forget their past are doomed to repeat it.

  • LOOK how far us african americans came

  • Never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget,

  • I love it.... My daughter can watch this! Great job!!

  • We came so far yet, we are not mentally free.We are imprisoned by prejudice, racism, and discrimination

  • Please watch the BBC Documentary, 'Guinea Pig Kids here on YT.' See how The City of NY, Dr's & BigPharmacuticals treat poor, black & hispanic foster kids who are HIV positive & profit off their pain & suffering. Some as young as 6months. Pls write MayorBloomberg & tell him the Nazi Genocide MUST STOP!

  • What book is she reading?

  • there is not one culture or nation that has not at one time been enslaved. in fact slavery is alive and well, today.

  • Thank you for sharing this amazing video and narration. Loved it

  • africans enslaved their own people

  • @AntonyEdwards1994 And Europeans enslaved their own people as well as EVERYBODY ELSE... now what?

  • @AntonyEdwards1994 No culture of slavery was more brutal and oppressive than slavery in the New World. African slaves brought to the Americans were not even considered human beings, which was used to justify a lot of the brutality.

  • george washington was a slave owner

  • that pic at :37 was horrible,

  • GREAT, great job kids.......

  • Those kids did a great job!

  • the water song meant to go to the lake so the blood hounds dont smell them then kill them

  • This true But what is are problem today Its not slavery Its using the past for empathy Are children are being raised wrong

Parents need to set a example by going to work or going to school instead we live on the past not the present

When will we stop killing one another When and stop going to jail

  • Eternal Victim Syndrome (EVS)

Until a cure is found, there is no hope for us.

  • I am niot racists I have studied history I admire many ppl who helped make this country. I hate the fact slavery ever happend. i wish that African americans werent forced from Africa but came of there own will but that saddly was not the case.Slavery is wrong was then is now. idont like the fact that some people have hatred for those who dont look the same. The human race Is made up of many cultures.we all came from Africa many years ago. We are 1human race We all bleed. we all die.

  • T_T please, the little girl reading this was just heartbreaking...

  • Google "Dr. Lewis Steiner" and see how blacks fought in the ranks of the Confederate Army!

  • eeeh what the hell is the difference between now and then. I am a slave too.

  • ABSOLUTLY perfect A+++8

  • It's sad that there were so many ugly chapters in history that shaped America into what it is today. It took so much suffering and I think that so many people take that for granted.

  • This isn't a racist comment but how come the blacks hold this grudge against the southern people and the Egyptians took blacks to Egypt and whipped them and everything but you never hear about that also the Chinese were taken to the west to build railroads before blacks and you don't hear about that and i wont to know why this is?

  • This is American history. Don't let anyone subordinate this history as nothing less than it is.

  • Never forget is right, but don't dwell on history to fuel anger today. None of us was alive then and we seem to be using history as a crutch to get special treatment crying "racism" whenever we can. That sentiment is keeping racism alive and our so-called leaders like Jesse, and Al among others are hurting us by keeping the division and resentment alive so they can enrich themselves. Please wake up brothers.

  • It is a part of history we would all wish to forget, but it is also a part of history that we should never let ourselves forget. We need to remember so as to keep ourselves, our children, and their children's children from repeating the same mistakes.

  • it's made black people so united and strong, but a shame it took such a sad era

  • i get so angry about people telling black people to forget already about slavery yet they weep and cry for the jews in the world war in every hollywood movie and any chance they get!!! black people suffered for hundred of years!!! they should never be forgotten, slavery should not be forgotten, and injustice must never pass quietly in front of a just man eyes

  • people lets take this for wat it is. this is a non african americian learnin bout a different cultures trials n trublation. this is great! so people stop bein negative!

  • nice job young lady hehehe!

  • You folks aware that free blacks in the American South owned (gasp) black slaves? Although they were a minority within a minority (white slave owners) there weren't just 1or 2. Many, many free blacks in NOLA owned black slaves.

Southern free blacks didn't just own a few slaves, at least one in SC possesed almost 200!

How could blacks do this -- enslave / sell their fellow blacks in Africa and once becoming free men in the US continue to perpetuate the bondage of their own kind!

  • Je suis né en Afrique puis je suis devenu esclave

Pour effacer les chaînes et le fouet du maître

J'ai mélangé ma tristesse et mon sang

Puis je me suis mis à chanter

    Et le temps d'une chanson

    J'ai retrouvé mon sol

    Mon ciel bleu pur

    Les cris des animaux sauvages

    Mon cœur libre .

    Poetac

  • And now African americans have reached such high places in sports, politics,etc.etc. They are an example for the world.

I love them very much and thank God for their beautiful voices.

  • I hope they also recount the other 95-96% that were sent to Latino countries and Caribbean regions. Cute kids though

  • Do you have any idea how many world populations in the past two centuries and beyond endured some form of slavery, ethnic cleansing, massive rape of their women, oppression? And, ironically, it caused the greatest mass immigration tot the US in the nineteenth century. People made decisions to let go. The ones left behind also moved on. The way to deal with it is to move on, as harsh as that may sound, which is not the intention, or else you're always living with it in the present.

  • I'm going to get a tattoo of the south African flag American flag and some kind of European flag blended in as a collage to show all my heritage, it might piss some people off but only the haters.

  • Thank god we have moved on from that sad part of history.

  • Just remember Africans were keeping slaves of each other LONG before white people got the idea. Just saying.

  • wade in the water was a song at my school concert

  • Fuck slavery! Fuck racism! But man, those songs are good! Wow, I wished I could sing like that!

  • this gurl iz WEST INDIAN?? :))))

  • WHY IS IT THAT THE BLACK ON BLACK SLAVERY GOING ON AT THE PRESENCE IN AFRICA DOESN'T OFFEND BLACKS?

  • The slave trade was dominated by Jews, they owned the majority of slave ships and slaves. Read the book The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews, it uses only Jewish sources to prove this fact.

  • part of the history but really sad

  • Thank you, for teaching this youth the truth. That we didn't get when I was in school.

  • Is it just me or was Peg Leg Joe standing a little too close to that fire?

  • What a great song but sad

  • Oh my that poor mans back;[..Who gives anyone a right to enslave another human?Well done to the little kid who has done this ;] bravo your a nice smart child peace xxtootsxx

  • Latinos owned many many slaves all over the western hemisphere. Mexico was a major supplier of slaves to Brasil.

The Arabs had the largest number of slaves, by far though.

  • @ChannelAmsterdam not the idea of Latino we have today, it was conquistadors( still white) who oppressed and sold slaves...yes... arabs did have slaves... but they never treated them the way the western world did... they took it to a different level of dehumanization...

  • @MozDaTMadda Besides, Arabs didn't really discriminate based on colour. There were many high ranking blacks in the Arab world. Some reaching the most powerful rank.

  • @MozDaTMadda i think you are forgetting arabs enslave their women to this day. With genital mutilation, selling and buying of women for sex and baring children I think they take this slavery to an uncomparable level of inhumanity.

  • @MozDaTMadda Was a worldwide issue. Africans sold Africans for arms and other goods. The trades went between the Africa, the Caribbean and the US for people, salt cod, amunitions, sugar cane, ivory, molasses, etc. I'm certainly not a proponent of slavery, but the idea of caucasions of whites going into Africa, hunting healthy people... eh... think a product of movies rather than reality. Not saying it was right. Certainly wasn't.

  • @MozDaTMadda But there's slavery right now. It involves children and women. And it's about Oriental rugs, coffee, chocolate and prostitution. Perhaps still about sugar cane, too, in the Dominican Republic. If you want to make a stand, pay an extra $5 bucks per pack for coffee that's Fair Trade. Buy Green and Black's chocolate. Avoid Oriental rugs, who needs those anyway?

  • @MozDaTMadda Which derive from the qu'ran. They had strict rules to slave entitlement.

  • @MozDaTMadda Do you have evidence of Arabs treatinig slaves in a better way?

  • @MozDaTMadda All slavery is dehumization...

  • @MozDaTMadda any type of slavery is dehumanization and as far as the arabs they were the first ti introduce africans slavery to the world and the last to stop it though in places like sudan and even in hidden view in saudia arabia slavery still exist... The originators or the ones who started this dehumanization of africans should not be excused or dismissed as well.

  • @caboverde100 ...I'M GLAD YOU'VE GOT THIS MOST IMPORTANT PART THAT SLAVERY IS NOT AFRICAN OR AFRICAN AMERICAN AND SLAVERY IS NOT 'BLACK' AS PEOPLE TOLD ME IN A SURVEY ASKING: 'WHAT COLOR IS SLAVERY?' OR ENSLAVEMENT? IT IS A HUMAN(E), RATHER, 'INHUMANE' THING TO DO. PLEASE...DO NOT TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO CALL PEOPLE HELD IN BONDAGE AND BEATEN, DECAPITATED, LYNCHED, BURNED, CHOPPED AND RAPED THE WORD:"SLAVES. THAT MEANS THE COLONIALISTS WIN AGAIN SIMPLY BY THIS USE OF LANUAGE.--MO

  • @ChannelAmsterdam Yep!!! The Arabs actually taught Eurpeans how to enslave Africans!!!

  • @ChannelAmsterdam Not true, Mexico abolished slavery since 1821, and even they lost Texas because they don't want slavery in this state.

Let me tell you a little detail, in the Mexican constitution (Art. 2), every slave who enter to Mexico regain freedom and protection by the law.

  • Just a reminder: African Americans we've been through alot have we not?

*Amen* I think it's time I told you guys the hard truth though, you see? We put ourselves in this problem *Amen*. If we didn't blind ourselves by killing our own tribes and enslaving them, the question would be "Would we be in this situation of hate and racial discrimination?" Well i can answer..... Remeber who you are and where you CAME from. Africa is our homeland Lets remember that please *all*

  • @tonshaad1230

    Typical Way Of Thinking...

  • @tonshaad1230 africa is the homeland of the human race. we are americans not africans. jus like jamacians are jamacians hatians are hatians brazilians are brazilians. they all have similar history as us. but the difference i see is they take pride in their nationality unless most of us.. we wanna claim africa. i dnt deny africa cuz without it there would be no us. but if i deny being american i dnt think its fair for those great black americans that came before us.

  • @tonshaad1230 sensible and understanding comment.....Im whte and Enlish and Im slave to our f...king government...best wishes

  • @tonshaad1230 It's only your homeland if you were born there.

  • Follow the drinking gorge:

Instructing younger generations to follow the two end points of Ursa Major (The Drinking Gorge) to Polaris ( The North Star).

  • @wiibot15 drinking gourd

  • never 4 get where u came form 4 all u black people

  • So for all of you out there that are so hurt from the past and will never forget..... Remember the slavery is going on NOW! The oppression caused by Haiti's debt TODAY is because the French still believe blacks should be slaves or they would relinquish this oppressive slave debt and pay reparations! This Illegitimate debt is based on the fact that the black Haitians had to kill to become free. So there is Nothing to forget! There is a need to Wake up!!!!!!! The Slavery is now!

  • Thanks for posting! A very important peice of American history told with grace and beauty!!!

  • so sad i feel really bad for them

  • I cried a little, but this is some video! I loved it-- very educational! The little girl sounds perfect to read this, so it made it sound so real. Its surprising about how many people treated colored people. It just... wow.

  • I have been born in a society were i have always had freedom and choice and my basic human rights and then some.

And even though i am a depressive and bitter person through problems in my own life, i have to be so thankful and grateful for this freedom which is so normal and natural to me.

How one group of people can dominate and dictate over another, their own fellow man, is sad and shameful.

  • wade in the water

    (A reminder that tracking dogs

cannot follow slaves' scent through water)

  • Hello, I hope this comment does not fall on deaf ears and blind eyes, I just watched your video and it made me well up (cry) I hate racists in any form and cant belive the actions of our past lives.

Just remember that all white people are not racist bigots.

i find most of racist behaviour comes from within same race casts or religious belifes (James Brown said People wake up and LIVE) stop killing eachother Please

We did enough killing our neigbours (protestants / Catholics / Saxon / Norman

  • Realrapmuic,

Your approach is typical of many Whites: they clam to appreciate Blacks but cannot avoid making terrible racist commentaries; unfortunately, you believe that had it not been for the "goodness" of Whites, Blacks would still be living in misery in Africa.

You seem to have forgotten or unaware of the fact that so-called Western civilization has been build on the backs of Backs.

Had it not been for the sweat of Blacks, many Whites would still be living in misery in Europe.

  • is some 5th graders slavery project???

  • Hey could you send me the text to this? I would like to use it in my ESL class.

  • Great video...very educational.

  • excellent.

  • anyone know the name of the song about a dog or something where they bark and howl a lot? I'm trying to find it...

  • This brings back memories of learning this in elementary. I'm surprised that I remembered Peg Leg Joe's name [before his name was said]. Good job on the video!

  • This is history but it 's a sad history!

  • Great!

  • I am currently learning all about this era, including the slave trade. It is very interesting.

  • Imagine how much amazing music we'll never even know about! Too bad how it was written but I wish I could hear what they sang!

  • go to a black church.

  • Never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never forget, never foget, never forget, never forget, never forget
